SUMMARY:PTC says that the ovals conform to DIN 406-10 but doesn't explain further. DIN 406-10, section 3.2.6.1, explains that an oval "frame" identifies "check dimensions," which are characterized as "requiring particular consideration when the scope or stringency of inspection is specified."I read that to mean that you can use the oval frames to designate dims for some type of inspection--first article, ongoing, whatever--but that you must define the type of inspection. We'll probably stick with a note like "Dimensions within an oval frame shall be used for First Article Inspection."Thanks, Rick, for pointing me to the DIN standard.- WallaceRi
Thanks to Brian, Doug and Vaughn!!! ITOS - Integer to StringFloor- Round down to integer And my relation should read something like:deg_A = itos(floor(A)) exact_min_A = (A - floor(A)) * 60min_A = itos(floor(exact_min_A)) exact_sec_A = (exact_min_A - floor(exact_min_A)) * 60sec_A = itos(floor(exact_sec_A)) ang_val_A = deg_A + "° " + min_A + " " + sec_A + "" Thanks again!Justin
Another tidbit, there are no repeat regions in the table frozen table. I'm going to replace the table but it would be nice to know a better workaround if one exists.--ChrisChris Rockhold <->Sent by: -01/25/2005 08:50 AMPlease respond to Chris Rockhold
Just in case anyone else is looking into it and could use the advice:Original Message:Subject: [model] ProductViewMaybe a bit off topic, but do you use ProductView in your organisation? If so, what do you use it for and how do you use it? What problems have you encountered and what have been the high points? Any advice for a new prospective user? We are thinking of starting to use it for a variety of visualisation requirements (of Pro/E data) and it would be nice to get a leg-up on the learning curve. Thanks, and have a nice weekend.
I am unable to modify a table. The dialogue is "you may not perform this action on a frozen table". WF2. How does one un-freeze the table?Chris RockholdSr. Tech Support Engineer II978.440.2706978.440.3322 fax-
Hello experts,Can you suggest some way to have a parametrically scaled model? I have a model which is to be enlarged by some scale factor and this scale factor should remain parametric so that i can change this scale later with one parameter. Is there any way to do this? Please help!ThankYou.-Anurag
Hello all,Does anyone use the .psf file to launch Wildfire2? In 2001 we use the ptc_startup.bat file to set some environment variable, copy configs, remove and/or copy other files to the users workstation when they launch ProE. Is this possible in the psf file? I also noticed that the psf file is located in the bin directory. When you launch the ptcsetup.bat file doesn't it over write the psf file? How can you keep the psf file custom to what you want it to do and not create the possibility of over writing the file when the user does a ptcsetup? Thanks In Advanced!!JHengel

We have the need to import excel files as tables in pro/e, and be ableto modify them in pro/e. It would be nice to be able to also change inexcel too, but not a requirement. We are in version 2001, and will bemigrating to WF2 in 2-3 months. Does Wildfire 2 take care of this or isthere 3rd party software which would meet our requirements better.Thanks.Eric FlemingEngineering Technician2881 East Bayard StreetSeneca Falls, NY 13148Phone: 315-568-4543Fax: 315-568-4507-

A woman was shopping at her local supermarket where she selected Ahalf-gallon of 2% milk, a carton of eggs, a quart of orange juice, ahead of romaine lettuce, a 2 lb. can of coffee, and a 1 lb. package of bacon. As she was unloading her items on the conveyor belt to check out, a drunkstanding behind her watched as she placed the items in front of thecashier. While the cashier was ringing up her purchases, the drunk calmlystated,"You must be single."The woman was a bit startled by this proclamation, but she was intriguedby the derelict's intuition, since she was indeed single. She looked ather six items on the belt and saw nothing particularly unusual about herselections that could have tipped off the drunk to her marital status.Curiosity getting the better of her, she said "Well, you know what, you'reabsolutely correct. But how on earth did you know that?"The drunk replied, "Cause you're ugly".
