Hi folks,Today I launched the blog CAMZone.org, a personal project where I'll attempt to promote discussions about CAD/CAM with a strong emphasis in the CAM side of the acronym. CAMZone.org does not have any tie with advertising and the goal there is to learn and share unbiased opinions, thoughts and experiences about CAM and the CAD/CAM industry. That being said, I'd like to invite you to check it out. Hope to get your comments there!Check it out: http://camzone.org/Thank you!Daniel Santos
ProE / Creo users, Just a quick poll on employee status, if you are a CAD Administrator areyou an exempt or non-exempt employee?, I have looked into this in somedetail regarding the exemption laws - professional, administrative, creative professional and computer employee exemption. I just wanted tosee if someone has dealt with this before.
Hi Everybody,If I import an aluminum extrusion into ProE/Creo, what is the best way to cut it to exact length using Creo? For example, http://www13.boschrexroth-us.com/partstream/Search.aspxThanks A Great Deal!!
I imported a point cloud in .DXF and so far the only way I know how to make a spline is to click on each point individually. Does anyone know if there's a better method of doing this? I appreciate your thoughts.
Does anyone have data on the drill point angle for a broached hex pilot drill? I downloadad the ANSI spec for set screws and it tells me everything except for the drill point angle. I am using set screws for control orifaces. I need to hold a length of the oriface hole length. This hole length is from the flat face of the set screw to the bottom of the drill point for the broached hex drill point..TIA

Team, in the past weeks several emails to - userID generated some interesting feedback about Creo NC applications. In order to get a structured feedback I would like to ask you to fill upthe Creo NC 2012 survey, but clicking on the link below:
Hello Creo Users!I was curious if anyone had designed fasteners like nuts and bolts or even stuff like spacers and washers. If you're willing to share I'd [and I'm sure other members as well] be very interested in seeing your designs. The more unusual the better.Feel free to embed/attach them in your reply here or upload them into a photo album.Looking forward to seeing some creative uses.-Dan
Probably a long shot, but is there a posted list of companies that useProE for specific regions (i.e. Santa Clara County, Monterey County,CA)? Hello, A client told me they require Wildfire 5. I have Creo Elements/ Pro 5.0installed. The download page shows this: cid:image001.png@01CCC557.6643FCA0 Are these really different versions? Are they compatible in bothdirections? Thanks a lot. -Nate

Hi, I am using Proe 4, similar to Creo. I am trying to create a standard hole with my desired diameter but I don't know how to change the diameter. Under the 'Shape', the diameter can not be changed. Anyone has any idea?

Has anyone noticed an increase in file size when moving from Wf 5.0 to Creo 1.0 Parametric M010 & M020? Some of my models have grown by a factor of 10 and has caused my PC to use up all 8Gig of RAM and files sizes of in the range of 400mb to 2 gig. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks
Greetings all,I would like to find a 3D export format that will maintain the light and scene information from Creo/Elements Pro when opened in a free viewer tool such as Creo View Express or Adobe Acrobat 9.I have tried .U3D files which apperently should contain the lighting and scene information but Ive been unable to find a free program to open the file.Does anyone have any ideas of a format that will do this and a free viewing tool to open the format?Any information will help. Thanks!
Thumbnail viewer is installed, but Pro/E has decided to annoy me with messages about it again. Does anyone know how to tell it where to go with it's messages? Thanks
I can't seem to create an approximate curve in my skeleton model. Is this a limitation imposed by PTC? Any suggestions of how to work around this?Cheers!
I have a table in a drw that the user defined functions keep disapearring. You can repopulate and then scroll your screan in and out and the data disapears.
Why can't I group published features in my skeleton? I have found a work around where I create another group and then do edit definition on it... but that is not a preferable way, and I don't know if there is any other reason for not being able to group the published.
I know this may be a bit of a rant, but I strongly believe there is a fundamental lack of attention to a very critical issue all us "Pro/E and Creo"Users continue to face. I felt a post on the CAD forum was appropriate. For me, Igave up on asking for "help" from PTC resourcesover 15 years ago. I still look down at my shoes and shake my head each timeI encounter the lack "Help"within our software.Look at the attached image and tell me why we continue to accept such unacceptable things like this? This is not an isolated issue. You can find Help road blocks EVERYWHERE within the Help Center. In many cases we are given directions to a road that no longer exists! in this case, this is"OLD Pro/E" directions. This have been an issue since the very first day I started on Pro/E....that was 1989! My blood pressure just climbed up 50 points.PTC, why, why, why do we have to live with a software that is NEVER complete or correct? Functioning "Help" is the lifeblood of any software. Do you wonder why S

Silhouette edges disappear in Sketcher in Hidden-Line style display in Creo Parametric1.0.Has someone the same problem?

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the amount of decimal places available for the axial depth in the tool setup in WF4. Currently it is at 3 deimal places. We need to get to 4 for very small tools. See attached...Craig BroetzmannStrattec Security Corp
