I'd like to access, through code/programmatically a *.prt model's Annotations (e.g. Symbols, Datums, Notes, Dimensions). These would be the objects that are, in PTC Creo 10.x, in the model tree -> Design Items > Anotations. Is this possible through the base license of Creo (i.e. in Visual Basic)? The annotation objects seem like they might be accessible through details (drawings), but I cannot find their equivalents in the Model/PRT file. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Hello I am working on a custom quick acces toolbar in Creo Elements version 20.1.2.0I am making 1 tab that contains all the functions i need on a regular basis. And one that relocates my most used functions to the foreground. I wanted to create named seperators like the standard menu does. But I can only find the boring old line seperator. Is there any way to give my custom split menu a nice looking format like standard? Or is that something that is reserved for the base program? ▼What i've got so far▼ ▼What I want▼ If anyone knows how to do this. I would love to know it. Its not completely neccesary, but it would be a nice clean look to a layout that may be used as a standard within the company. Thanks in advance!

I'm using MathCAD 9.0.0.0. In my program I have the formula...I have every variable set in my program accept h2 that's in the equation twice. Is there a function to solve for h2? Otherwise, I guess I can rewrite the equation to solve for h2? Thanks,Brent

Hi, i am working on a requirement where i need create, delete and edit a row in a grid widget.Creating/adding a new row is working fine but i am having problem in restricting edit option. I have 4 columns in my grid col_a, col_b,col_c and col_d. Out of these 4 columns, col_a and col_b are keys for my data shape so should be not be allowed for editing. And only col_c and col_d should provide edit option. currently if i modify column properties and make keep col_c and col_d as editable then i am not getting col_a and col_b when i try to add a row. If i keep all 4 columns as editable then i cannot restrict user to edit col_a and col_b which are key fields.

this is pretty frustrating as the training is not explaining. To sketch the "section as shown"- then it magically flips to the inside view.. no explanation. How do you rotate or flip like that? Is there a "hot key"?   

I attempted to use Mathcad Prime 11 to retrieve a Mathcad Prime 7.00 file I created but I could not. The file extensions appear to differ.  How can I retrieve this file into Version 11 without having to recreate it?  Thanks!

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I am trying to include information within the context of a part instance that tells users where the part instances are allocated. But, I only want to show the parent part instances which the child is allocated to which are at a state of "Released". For example, I have part instance A which is a child of part instance B. Part instance B is at a state of "Released" at revision C. When I create a new revision of part instance B, the first iteration of revision D includes part instance A as a child within its structure. I can then remove part instance A from the structure of part instance B, revision D before setting the state of part instance B, revision D to "Released". If I then navigate to part instance A and look under the "Allocations" tab, part instance A is still said to be allocated to revision D of part instance B, despite part instance A not featuring in the structure of the released iteration of revision D of part instance B.Description: I

tutorial states simply to click the PTC icon and the learning connector will open in the drawing- it does not do that for me. Probably new user error but limiting and frustrating just the same

I'm trying to understand what I can do to make cable harness take up less memory.See screenshots below.  I have about 12 cables made of 16 wires in a relatively simple assembly and the file size for the cable assembly and harness total 430mB (215mB each).  This is so large it takes minutes to save and regenerate.  All of the cable locations referenced to datums in the assembly and not some higher level assembly.  Each cable has maybe 2-3 plane or datum point-based locations based on assembly references.To me this should be taking up 10mB max.  What could it possibly be doing with all this memory?We're on windows 11, creo 8.0.0.0.

Hi everyone,I'm working in Simulation (Analyses and Studies) within the Structural module in PTC Creo, and I’ve run into an issue: I can’t save result images in high-quality formats like PNG or TIFF.In this section, Creo only lets me save images in lower-quality formats, and I’d like to avoid using screenshots or the snipping tool because the resolution becomes quite poor.Does anyone know if there’s a way to export result images with the same quality as when PNG/TIFF saving is available?Maybe a setting, a workaround, or something I might be missing? I’m also attaching two images to show the issue:The first image is taken in Simulate (before entering Analyses and Studies) and the quality is great.The second image is taken inside Analyses and Studies, and the quality is noticeably lower, which is the problem I’m trying to solve.

I've got some issue using mechanism. I have this little subsystem that's supposed to go up and down to lift up the tray from the conveyor.When I work on this subassembly as we can this the movement is correct and 2 body are highlithed. The static body (in light blue on the first screen) is dirrectly link to the main origin of the subassembly. However when I import this in the main assembly making the subassembly origine fixed in the main assembly, in somehow the subassembly became one single rigid body. As we can see on the second screen there is only 1 body highlighted including the tray and the mooving part.Furthemore when we look at the mechanism tree, on the second screen there is actually a second body but it only includs origins.   

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.0We are currently experiencing an issue with Windchill Workgroup Manager (WGM) version 13.0.2.0 when integrating with CATIA V5-6R2020. Hi everyone,I’ve noticed that a few mobile apps (especially those that stream or load dynamic content) start lagging or sometimes stop responding when my phone is connected through certain IoT devices — like smart routers or connected displays.The internet connection itself seems stable, and other apps run fine. The slowdown mostly happens while watching longer videos or syncing data with connected devices.I’ve already tried:Restarting the phone and routerReconnecting to Wi-FiDisabling background apps and clearing cacheCould this be related to how IoT devices handle data routing or background syncing?Would appreciate any suggestions or settings that helped others improve app performance with connected devices.Thanks in advance!

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.0.2We are in process of upgrading our exsiting windchill enviorment ot version 12.1.2.0 , the OOTB Windchill 12.1 Ran successfully . later we performed below steps.1. Import Source DB2. "Run the DB scripts to fix the , Repository and file vault ,,Host names"3. Import Source DS in Windchill 12.1 OpenDJ4. "Compare and merge the site.xconf file from source to Target"5. "Compare Rbinfo files on source and target and Add the additional entries"6. "Move the customizations From source to target"7 "Running the AddColumns Tool"post above we Ran Upgrademanager from winchill shell. but it is throwing message windchill databse tables is allready upgrade . no action to be taken.

Another day and another CREO issue 🙂 So, I'm starting to get into detailing parts in CREO 10. Just to clarify - I have used NX and SolidWorks before and never ran into this issue. I wanted to dimension the part attached and use Bolt Circles for the two different holes. I tried using "Show Model Dims" and bring in the axis and dims. Well one feature was created using a circular pattern - and the other was two separate features (I did not create this model). I figured out how to display a circular centerline by changing drafting settings - but when I brought the dimension in it was a Radius. There was no way for me to change this to a Diameter. So, I decided to create my own sketches in the view and decided to just dimension to this directly. I'm sure people will say, "That's not how CREO works - you create in model and then bring in the model features/dims" Sure - but when it doesn't show what you actually want - I want to have other options/features to present the dimension

Hi,Something im not sure if its even possible, looking to have a set of predefined hole patterns to replicate SAE flange tapping details on manifolds.Currently we just use a chart based on ISO6162-1 & ISO6162-2Would be handy to have this a feature where the hole size, drilling depth, & tapping depth, as well as sketch pattern width & length are predefined.  

Using Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 9.0 New to Creo Direct Express and creating first drawings of parts and assemblies. Each time I edit the text on a drawing (title blocks, BOM's etc) a msg is displayed similar to the the one attached.What does this mean? Is there another way I should be editing these items?A second question is when creating the BOM's using the scan, table, draw method, why doesn't the part number populate? Thanks for any feedback

Hello everyone, I’m using Creo 8.0.9 and I need to create a sticker adapted to the surface, but for that I’m using a decal.When the sticker is flat, applying the decal is easy, but when it’s curved, it becomes very difficult.Is there a better method?Or is there any parameter in the planar mode that can be set to automatically adapt to all surfaces?
