Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.3.0Hello, I have a assembly file that has two exploded states, the main and the motor. Each state has its own offset lines. I placed two views in a drawing for both states. The offset lines only appear on the drawing for the whatever view in the assembly is currently exploded. For example, if the main view is exploded in the assembly, the offset lines for that view in the drawing are visible but not the motor view. If the motor view is exploded in the assembly, the offset lines for that view in the drawing are visible but not the main view. See attached PDF.Why is this?I've used this software since 1995, I've done this before but since we moved to release 7.0 I can't.Is there a config option to set?Very frustrated.Tom

Hi,   I'm not a Creo user but I need to optimize a PKG file made with CoCreate with other 3D software like 3DMax.   The thing is the file has millions of polygons which makes it impossible to work with. We don't mind removing objects we don't in a marketing video, which is our purpose.    Any advice on where can we hire someone to help us with this or what can we do? I am using Creo Parametric - Release 5.0 (connected) 5.0 5.0.2.0Hello PTC,While trying to follow CS275037 to swap an instance row to another position in the family table, I get the following error message:"Invalid name or format found in instance TK06-00873_H700S-2C3B-950L-MSB."Even if I try to load the exported .ptd file straight into the family table again (without modifications), I get this error message too.The family table, without importing/exporting anything works, but I need the instances in another order for my drawing.Hopefully you can help me with this issue?Here are the errors that I faced"Invalid name or format found in instance TK06-00873_H700S-2C3B-950L-MSB."

Hello, I explain my problem to you:I need to make a 1: 1 scale plan template, the problem is that when my parts are too big, when I use my plan template, all my plans overlap (I don't know where is the left or right view) and I have to replace them by handSo I wanted to know if it was possible to be able to give a distance between the GABARIT_VUE?   I give you captures of what I imagine   (in the creation of the template plan)   (what it would look like with a piece)   Thank you so much Maxence

Hi everyone,  Creo parametric - Release 7.0.2.0 crashes prematurely if config option "sketcher_diagonal_constr yes" is set and when you use the "Replace" function in the sketcher. To reproduce this issue do the following:   Open Creo parametric - Release 7.0.2.0 without any configurations but only with opiton "sketcher_diagonal_constr yes". All other options are now default! Create a new part without standard part. Use option "Empty" to create that part. In new part create standard datum planes and create first geometry using protrusion on one of the standard datum planes Sketch a rectangle and leave Sketch, finish this feature Enter the sketch of this feature again using "Redefine" and draw an arc/spline/additional lines with the intention to use the "Replace" function from up popping Mini Menue in the sketcher. Hi Guys,   We are using Creo 7.0.2.0   When I get these little info boxes, and I check off "in the future dont show this message"       How can i save this so all the other users dont see these messages? Is this saved in the ribbon file?   We have about 30 seats of creo, and we all currently pull our files from the same central place on the network.   This makes it easier for me to update menu ribbons, mapkeys, etc etc.    But these pop up info boxes are annoying everyone. LOL.    Is there maybe even a place to just turn off ALL these info boxes all at once?   Thanks, Jay

Hello,   is there a way to set an imported attribute from a CATPART for example as designated?   imagine I have "MATERIAL" parameter in my third part CAD model. I import it and convert to a PRT file, and I really would like that this MATERIAL attribute comes designated to be able to check in directly in Windchill!  

Hello.   I have created a hole table with a maximum row of 35. So i get 3 segment that I put on my draw. Unfortunatly, I have to update it with some new hole and ... here start the hell !   My last segment grow up instead of stoping at 105 and created a new segment.   How do you do to have this new segment ? I mean, in an another way to suppress all my table and created a new one

Hello, I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M150 and having some difficulty with a hidden part.I have a main assembly where a component in a sub assembly is hidden and I can not find a way to show it. The part is visible when the sub assembly is open. It is not on a layer, it is not hidden, there is no simplified rep substitution hiding it, the master rep is active, there is no family table, the appearance is something I can see. I am at a loss as to why this part is hidden. I have obviously missed a trick somewhere. The user who did this is no longer with the company. I am wondering if there is a tool not on the toolbar he used. I found he never used simplified reps and always chose to hide the component in the drawing.

This part that I'm working on it's looking like this:  But I don't want that sharped edge, so I tried to round it using "chain", to make it look like this: But CREO does not accept this format. This message appears: Is there any way I can make that round, without wrapping the entire line, just that edge?

We were recently asked to render our system on a factory floor, one of the other teams in the company had a template part file of a fake factory floor, but its a part, not a scene or environment   Because of this when I try to render it, the ceiling and walls on the factory shade everything inside and its a very noisy render   I tried to apply emissive appearances to the ceiling lights, and it helps, but still very noisy   Any ideas how to get render studio lights inside a part model?   For now, Im going to blow out the ceiling tiles and make my environment an offwhite so it looks like the tiles are still there and have a few distant lights above and see how that works   Thanks!

Hi,   We try to program the way the sheet metal cut dimensions are calculated.This method does not use the Y-factor.We have an Excel table for elongation length per bend (Ex. 2.5mm/bend) by material and thickness. The user calculates the dimensions of the wall, flat, and flange of the sheet metal model as shown.In this case, it would be 90x40.Then, after checking the elongation length from the thickness of each material, it is multiplied by the number of bendings.(2.5 * 1 bends in this case)Subtracts the result from the corresponding size.The cut dimensions are then calculated as 87.5x40.   In this process, the number of bends through the axis could be calculated.However, there is a problem in getting the size of each wall and flat/flange.   After checking the flat/flange through Feature Visit, visit DIMENSION.In the case of a wall, the width, length, and thickness are obtained.In the case of flat/flange, it is difficult to check which is the horizontal and vertical dim

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M140How do I differentiate between a dimension that gets created when geometry is modeled and one that is placed as an annotation in 3d model. I am collecting dimensions with pfcModelItemOwner->ListItems(pfcModelItemType::pfcITEM_DIMENSION). My goal is to collect all dimensions, find the ones that have been created as an annotation and then see if any have been removed from a combined state.

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 5.0 (connected) 5.0 5.0.1.0How to give control back to creo parametric, when using API ProWindowCurrentClose, I referred to article CS210868, Which Macro should I load for this particular API to work.

I've been using Creo at work for about 2 years now. I've never really understood the purpose of the working directory. I have never changed changed the working directory. I have it set to a random folder in my documents.    My coworker recently said that he was told to always set the working directory the the folder your files are in. Is this what I should do? Why? 

Is this type of attachment possible in PTC Creo? If yes kindly mention the procedure.    

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M120I would like to export the CAD assembly which can retain the original colors and make them an interactive model outside of Creo. What format do I need to save assembly?

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 M110I have an issue with an assembly and the corresponding drawing. Every time that I open up the drawing and/or the assembly model, two of the components (one is a part, the other is a subassembly) are hidden in the assembly. I can unhide both of these components without difficulty, either directly in the assembly model or in the drawing by going to the model tree and selecting unhide in model. After unhiding these components I save the drawing and the assembly model (we use ECTR as our PDM system). Unfortunately, when I open the drawing and/or model again, the same two components show up as hidden again. I've tried more times than I can count to fix this problem and we've investigated everything we can think of, to no avail.Any help would be appreciated!

I have parts and assemblies that were created without using our templates. There are about 5-10 parameters I need to add to these parts and assemblies.   I know that I can add them by just adding the parameters column to the model tree of the assembly. This does work, but is a bit of a pain because you have to tell it what kind of parameter it is for each part as you add each parameter.   I had mapkeys that would call open a config file set new_parameter_ui and New_relation_ui to no and then add the parameters. These mapkeys don't appear to work anymore (I thought I had fixed them for Creo 2, but that may have been for Wildfire 5.). Before I try to fix them, I was wondering if anyone is still using this method in Creo 3?   Or, is there a better method now that we are in Creo 3? Thanks,Carrie    

Hello,   I am new to Creo parametric. As of now, everytime I open a new Creo Parametric session, I have to explicitly register my standalone jlink application through Auxiliary Applications option under Tools menu. Is there a way to permanently register my application on Creo parametric so that I don't have to do that for every new creo session?   Thanks, Apoorva

I've created the part below by creating a planar and then adding a flange loop. As you can see in the second image, I've added a corner gap. However, the outer edge, circled red, has overlapping edges. How do I avoid this?
