Where do I finf the Primer tutorial?
I am trying to learn how to use the Tolerance Analysis tool since I just realized my company has a floating license for it. So far I have been unable to understand how to use this tool and I can't find any good tutorials to point me in the right direction. Just for reference, I am trying to analyze the stackup in 3 plates that are bolted together in a non-symetric pattern so I need to take into account the hole tolerances and the placement tolerances. I have tried to use the axis for each hole to define the chain/loop for the stackup, but it doesn't work as expected. Can anyone point me to a tutorial that could help (other than the electric motor analysis)?
I am trying to find basic training for the Manikin library, but it would appear that it doesn exist. I have looked on the Precision LMS site, searched the PTC "find training" tool, and even searched around on Google. Can anyone here tell me where I could get training or at least find a tutorial?
I can't import DWG because modelling is telling me that annotation in not in metric Please someone could tell me how to do that? There is also a good tutorial to understand DWG/DXF import? Many thanks in advance.
Do anyone know of a good ProMechanica Thermal tutorial for PCB modeling? Please someone help me with directing me to a sample tutorial link to model a simple PCB with some components on them in ProMechanical, Thermal. I like to do a simple analysis with board temperature and gradient mapping, component and junction temperatures and to analyze those temperatures which exceed their respective limits etc.Thankyou, Kevin.
Our company is a new Pro Engineer customer. One of the reasons we decided to go with Creo Parametric is that we have seen the capability of it in placing rounds that meet at the partingline that cross dis-similar drafted halves.Unfortunately we've not been able to duplicate this on our own. It appears there is much versatility that our Precision LMS training does not cover in regards to Transitions. When placing the round we are able to get 1 set per side to drop in, but they do not meet at the partingline. The given transition options don't appear to include anything that meets appropriately at the partingline. If I'm not mistaken you should be able to get rid of the unwanted transitions and add your own custom transitions. We have tried using variable radii to get a closer match to each side, but this didn't give any new transition possibilities and the given ones still don't work.It would be nice to be able to just drag an edge to meet the edge from the opposite side of the partingline
Steve Meyers, Learning Principal for PTC University, runs through 5 cool things he discovered in Creo Parametric. Look and feel of the software i.e. ribbon user interface, model tree/embedded browser toggle, Quick selection of edges, vertices or surfaces Streamline entry into the sketcher Sticky right-mouse button menus Shortcuts leading to fewer mapkeys Watch this less than 2 minute introductory tutorial of Creo Parametric. What cool things have you found in Creo? Discuss it here.
Is there any user guide/tutorial available for Pro-Engineer Wildfire 5.0?Thanks
I need some help with making a 2D drawing from a 3D model. When I follow the instructions in the tutorial I always get my drawing turned 30 degrees off axis. Can anyone tell me where the setting is to control this? I've attached a JPG to show what I am getting.

Greetings, I have a good reason to finally learn what "Isolate" layers are and how theywork. I am looking for a layers tutorial or overview. I remember the lasttime I went to the World Event, 2007, Glen Beer gave a terrific seminar onthis. I left there full of ambition to tame my layers, but never found around tuit. Until now. Glen, are you out there? Anybody else know this crazy layer thing and canpoint me to some learnin'? Thanks, -Nate

I've been asked to generate multiple copies of a MathCAD disc including some internal training materials for some home use licenses.I used to use CDburnerXP. But on my new computer it will not recognize my drive. 😞So now I have to use the Roxio Createor DE 10.3 that came with the computer.I tell it I want a data disc, and drag all the files I want into the software, but I can't figure out how to tell it I want to burn x number of copies of this stuff.Am I missing something here? Are there some hidden menus? Seems like a very basic thing, but I can't find it.Anyone know of another program like CDburnerXP that is free that will burn multiple copies? Hello,Is this "schools edition" version of Creo the same as the one that is available to purchase at my college? I attend George Brown College in Toronto, and they sell a book titled "Creo Parametric 1.0 Tutorial and Multimedia CD" (a copy of Creo comes along, I believe). Thanks!
All,My maintenance for Pro|E expired at the end of November 2011. But I was already getting irritating sales phone calls and e-mailsfrom from Enser (VAR) in July 2011. Everytime they called, I said, "call me back at the end of November."But the phone calls and e-mails continued. They offered a 10% discount if I paid in August,.....more calls and more e-mails, etc., etc., etc.I was so irritated by the endless phone calls and e-mails from Enser that I called PTC to see if I could purchase my maintenance renewal directly through PTC, essentially skipping over the middleman.PTC said that I am able to do this, but that the cost of maintenance renewal is still $1500. I suggested that the cost of renewal should be less money if PTC does not have to pay Enser their sales commission. PTC said that it does not matter and that the cost is still $1500. I explained that I would be willing to purchase the maintenance renewal at a discount. Then PTC could make a profit and I could get a good deal. PT
I know that SolidWorks comes with training credits that you can cash in for a training course of your choice and I just wondered if this was the case with Pro/E as well (in the UK).Cheers
Hi Guys,We would like to get some WF5 Training ASAP! We have moved forward with the WF5 upgrade and some of the users are having come challenges. I have made some tutorials available but I think we would like some official WF4 – WF5 differences training of a WF5 refresher workshop, or something along these lines?Ideally we would be able to get a day next week, perhaps a 4 hour class for half the group in the morning and the other half in the afternoon! We realize this is short notice, but we are really in ajam!Any recommendations of service providers or documents, and cheat sheets I can leverage? Please let us know as soon as you can? Thanks!David T. Francis
