Greetings, I have a good reason to finally learn what "Isolate" layers are and how theywork. I am looking for a layers tutorial or overview. I remember the lasttime I went to the World Event, 2007, Glen Beer gave a terrific seminar onthis. I left there full of ambition to tame my layers, but never found around tuit. Until now. Glen, are you out there? Anybody else know this crazy layer thing and canpoint me to some learnin'? Thanks, -Nate

I've been asked to generate multiple copies of a MathCAD disc including some internal training materials for some home use licenses.I used to use CDburnerXP. But on my new computer it will not recognize my drive. 😞So now I have to use the Roxio Createor DE 10.3 that came with the computer.I tell it I want a data disc, and drag all the files I want into the software, but I can't figure out how to tell it I want to burn x number of copies of this stuff.Am I missing something here? Are there some hidden menus? Seems like a very basic thing, but I can't find it.Anyone know of another program like CDburnerXP that is free that will burn multiple copies? Hi All, Hi All, I have 10 guys recruited for a class in AAX WF 5.0 at work for an in house class. I want to save some money and use are own laptops for the class.I want to use 3HTI for training. I need to know if AAX is standard and built in to the package or if you need to buy this as an add on. We have a Flex3C licence for 5 seats that have all the advanced modules but not enough to around.TIA
Hello,Is this "schools edition" version of Creo the same as the one that is available to purchase at my college? I attend George Brown College in Toronto, and they sell a book titled "Creo Parametric 1.0 Tutorial and Multimedia CD" (a copy of Creo comes along, I believe). Thanks!
All,My maintenance for Pro|E expired at the end of November 2011. But I was already getting irritating sales phone calls and e-mailsfrom from Enser (VAR) in July 2011. Everytime they called, I said, "call me back at the end of November."But the phone calls and e-mails continued. They offered a 10% discount if I paid in August,.....more calls and more e-mails, etc., etc., etc.I was so irritated by the endless phone calls and e-mails from Enser that I called PTC to see if I could purchase my maintenance renewal directly through PTC, essentially skipping over the middleman.PTC said that I am able to do this, but that the cost of maintenance renewal is still $1500. I suggested that the cost of renewal should be less money if PTC does not have to pay Enser their sales commission. PTC said that it does not matter and that the cost is still $1500. I explained that I would be willing to purchase the maintenance renewal at a discount. Then PTC could make a profit and I could get a good deal. PT
I know that SolidWorks comes with training credits that you can cash in for a training course of your choice and I just wondered if this was the case with Pro/E as well (in the UK).Cheers
Hi Guys,We would like to get some WF5 Training ASAP! We have moved forward with the WF5 upgrade and some of the users are having come challenges. I have made some tutorials available but I think we would like some official WF4 – WF5 differences training of a WF5 refresher workshop, or something along these lines?Ideally we would be able to get a day next week, perhaps a 4 hour class for half the group in the morning and the other half in the afternoon! We realize this is short notice, but we are really in ajam!Any recommendations of service providers or documents, and cheat sheets I can leverage? Please let us know as soon as you can? Thanks!David T. Hi alls,I'll have to make hi-quality video animations soon.I've read sometime ago that Blender could be use to make hi-quality videos from ProE models. Can someone tell us if it's true, how to do, is there any tutorial anywhere... ?So, I've seen that 3Dvia composer could be a good solution for this kind of job (between 6000 and 7000 euros). Is it a good solution ?Any comment ?Thanks,GB
I've had the crazy idea that a Sys Admin for a Pro/E system would spend a lot of time working to elevate the abilities of the system's users. This by creating training material, utilities, guided training, and integrating higher levels of the company into the ways of using PTC software to their advantage.Am I wrong?Dave S.
If PTC actually put out materials on how to set-up and use their software their VAR's would have no V to A (and wouldn't have any income either). They have to make their money somehow. Setup and training are an "additional fee". Jeff
We wanted to inform you that we will be hosting a Creo Elements/PRO Wildfire 5.0 (formerly Pro/ENGINEER) training class in Southern California during the week of October 10. If you or any of your colleagues are interested in this please let me know as soon as possible so that we may reserve a seat for you. The location has normally been at the La Mirada University of Phoenix but the location may change depending on the location of the majority of students.albertom@nxrev.com
Hellowe recently purchased the complete machining licence for ProE. We sent our users to training and came back very disappointed as they said"WE have NEVER seen another CAM software without canned cycles"I am not a CAM expert and rely on my users. However, this situation has created a misconfidence in using ProE for CAM.The other areas such as milling are find but the users focus on this aspects. We are using WF4M150.I take our company is not the only one using Complete Machining (we also have production machnining too) and canned cycles must also be a concerned for other users. Our consultants seem to be helpless in providing us with a solution which will provide us with canned cycles. Is that just a mental representation and indeed, it is not needed, just nice to have, is it really a missing feature.I would like to hear from your experience, what you think of this situation and how you by-pass this lack of "critical" feature as some of our users say.Thank youBest regards
Hi,I’m a proe fun and most of my time at work is dedicated to ProE.Is it there anybody that cares about a proe user that like ProE and want to learn everything that is new in Wildifre5?Seems that the company doesn’t buy any training.PS:I promise to use these tutorials just for my purpose.Thank you and Merry Christmas to everybody
Hi,i am looking for a tutorial for the sheet metal package, i am trying to use it to create a cover over to existing parts and i was hoping it would help me design one that simply fits exactly to the existing contour and afterwards unfolding it so i get a drawing for the cutting machine.
where can i have best tutrial for pro-mechanica....... Please help me........... thanks in advance
I have 30 SolidWorks users and a few of them want to learn ProE, problemis I only have 8 active seats of ProE which are all being used on adaily basics. I also have 10 inactive seats identified as release " WF 4.0 PreProd FltLic" which would be sufficient for training purposes. What build code is the preproduction version of WF 4.0, I thought it wasF000 but tech-support is telling me it would be C000 I'm between a rock and a hard place, if C000 is the only preproductionversion would anyone have it and be able to put it on an FTP site? Regards,
