Automation interest continues to accelerate (AI is pouring gas on the fire).

CREOSON has hit over 15,000+ downloads! 🤠

BOTH Small and large companies are there leveraging CREOSON (and CREOPYSON - the python 🐍 interface) to streamline their Creo Parametric workflows. 🕺🏽

Some key things you need to know about the current capabilities:

  • CREOSON interfaces with Creo 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13
  • 100% Open Source!
  • Uses JLINK as interface to Creo Kernel!
  • Simple JSON transaction interface!
  • Works with ANY Language! (e.g. Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • User friendly / Intuitive Commands!
  • Local or Remote via HTTP protocol!
  • Shockingly easy to integrate with AI!
  • Claude AI via MCP works! - a couple of videos on website!

The NEXT release of CREOSON (4.0.0) is actively being developed/tested.

We are building in the open - posting progress regularly.  Much of this work is focused on providing AI Agent/MCP capabilities (check this post/thread out to learn more).

The interest in AI for CAD has spiked in the past few months.  Companies are genuinely interested in what AI can bring to the table CAD, but they have major concerns about where their data is going, how it handled, and if it is just training data for another platform/system (and who else can see / infer / use that information?) - ALL valid and real concerns.

These concerns are a top priority for highly regulated organizations with sensitive or proprietary processes, designs, data, documentation, etc.  The AI path is currently not clear or obvious for them, but the benefits are increasingly obvious; the “how?” is the hard part (not just for them, for everyone).

We have been focusing on answering the “how?

Highly regulated industries are the literally the worst case to address for showing “how?” - get it right here, everyone/everything gets better.  The “how” must be easy to understand and implement while providing a confidence and a secure path to sovereign deployments that can be independently managed, and configured for specific needs.

The next version of CREOSON will look and feel the same, but enable a new optional pathway(s) via MCP to enable Creo Parametric to better support your business, research, engineering, data management agentic workflows.

Some key areas we are working on for CREOSON 4.x:

  • Expanded core functionality (community improvements)
  • Support for YOUR OWN AI Agents via MCP (Model Context Protocol)
  • Local AI Support (enables your data, transactions, processes to remain... 100% yours)
  • Default AI Skills (to help your AI contextualize/leverage Creo Parametric via CREOSON)
  • Improved security options (Local/Remote TLS and HTTPS in addition to HTTP)
  • Improved Documentation (and Playground)
  • and much more...

No firm date on the CREOSON 4.x release (yet) - but very soon. If you are interested in beta testing pre-release … DM me.

Thanks to everyone for their passion for automating Creo Parametric!  Keep Automating!

Enjoy!
