I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.5 We are currently integrating Windchill APIs with our Metadata Tool for API cataloging and lineage purposes. The schema is required by metadata tool in order to automatically parse and register the API endpoints and metadata. We identified that the following schema endpoint successfully returns a valid OpenAPI 3.0 JSON schema when accessed with Basic Authentication: https://x.company.ae/Windchill/protocolAuth/netmarkets/html/wrs/odata-to-swagger.jsp?v=7&d=ProdMgmt. We also tested generating a CSRF token using the below endpoint: https://x.company.ae/Windchill/protocolAuth/servlet/odata/v5/PTC/GetCSRFToken() The generated token works successfully for BOM-related API calls, but it does not work when accessing the swagger/OpenAPI endpoint above. Could you please check with the PTC/Windchill team if one of the following options can be provided: A token-based authentication mechanism for accessing the OpenAPI schema

We have a requirement for mass change quantity update, where we have 2 input text boxes in step 1 and in step 2 we have a table builder. The data on the table builder in step 2 would be based on the text box input from step1, but i am not able to get the value of the text box from step1 in the Nmcommand bean of the table builder. Could you please assist me here?

I am aware of this utility:https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS115390?source=search and database mods are sometimes easy to do but I think its time to sick an intern on this project. For those cases where I import some data that needs to start life at a higher revision other than initial, I need a clean way to alter the current identifier to something else. I can envision the UI being a simple drop down list or validated textbox for user entry but would need to accept a new version letter and alter the object. Supporting multiselect would be nice too. It also should handle erorr checking caveats to maintain sanity. Posting here if anyone else has thoughts and can supply some useful requirements I can fold in. Willing to share results with field when complete. 

I have a created a picker for WTpart and also created a new view using jcaconfigurable table to show only name and number.I am looking to change Number column to display as Similar Number,Is it possible to achive this?Thank you

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.11 We are modifying the "ConstraintDisplayNamesRB.java" OOTB file. Hi,My part lifecycle states include Development - Prototype - Released - WithdrawnOn revise from prototype or released the part will return to development state, and then a change notice is used to either transition Development → Prototype, Development → Released or Prototype→ ReleasedI have two types of change notice “Prototype Change Notice” and “Change Notice”, which have different workflows (different approval roles)I would like to limit the available release targets when a “Prototype Change Notice” is raised to only be the prototype state - “Preproduction” change transition (remove the Change transition from the list)This looks similar to the request here, but I cant see a solution - I have tried investigating the mapping rules, but I can only find how to limit target states based on the change object type, not on the change notice type it is withinThanks

I am aware of Fishbowl's MS Teams offering. I was not particularly interested in that type of customization. I was looking at more of user presence and communications. We've done some internal work at simple URL icons to invoke a Team's message to a user. This can be done via a Data Utility to add in a Teams icon and work similar to the email link.  From what I've read, to do anything more advanced, we would need to register an application in Azure, get an ID and use that to make calls via Microsoft Graph API. If I need to pull live information like online status info or a hover over popup, that would need some custom calls. What would be nice would be to have Windchill message users in Teams about events as an alternative to email communication. Its about time. I also see that PTC has the Windchill Office integration where you do the same thing, register it as an application. This means the foundational code is already there. Is there an API to retrieve affected objects for a nonconformance in Windchill QMS through the code

We would like to “react” to the loading of PDF representation on drawings (EPMDocument). The loading is done via the RepHelper  from Windchill Vieable Service in a separated process. Which event in Windchill should we listen at ? I thought ContentServiceEvent.POST_UPLOAD could be a good candidate, but i could not see it triggered during the load.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.14 When we create the Implementation Plan for our Change Notices, our Change Admins manually prepend the number of the CN to the Change Task Name field for the convenience of our users (when looking at their My Tasks tables). We would like to automate this process since it is time consuming for the admins. I have attempted to write code to do this automatically, but it seems that the API does not allow this after the object is persisted. I would like to understand why this is possible manually but does not appear to work programmatically. I see the Name field in the CA Master table but don't see an alternate "name" in the CA iteration table. Hi All, some time ago I made a customization which automatically writes the values we want to the OOTB line number attribute in wtparts at check-in, using a listener.But as it turns out, reality is always more complex than the plan you have and your users say they want...As of now, I found no way to ‘unset’ (aka delete) an existing line number. Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I am trying to bulk load part instance and part configuration objects into Windchill and to establish the links between them and the parts they are related to.Description: I was hoping to be able to do this with the REST API but it doesn't look like there are end points available to allow this to be done. We have a phantom item at the first level of the BOM that we do not want to publish as-is.The structure is:Parent → Phantom → Child partsIn Oracle, the expectation is:Parent → Child parts (phantom should be flattened)We are enabling one-level publishing only. Is it possible to generate the XML in such a way that the phantom is replaced with its child BOM (i.e., flatten the phantom during publishing)?I’m considering two approaches:Manually manipulating the XML, though this may be complex and error-prone due to multiple scenarios. Description: Hello All,   I have a Navigate app, which queries for WTParts, currently $filter-ing by contains(Name, '<query>').   We'd like to extend it so that it supports arbitrary wildcards like "quick*fox*dog". WRS docs suggest we can enable wildcards via PTC-WildcardSearch header, but I don't see how it can be done via Navigate, which doesn't seem to allow me specifying custom headers.   As for now, I thought of working around this issue by and-chaining "contains" clauses and then filtering out false positives on the ThingWorx side. I'll appreciate better ideas.   Thanks, Constantine  

I’m trying to create a custom REST domain with custom functions.  I copied an example to get going and it seems to initially work. However, when I then go to change the import.js, the updates never seem to take. I can actually delete the import.js and the custom function still work implying that the js is cached.Do I need to restart the server or clear some cache?
