We would also like to provide read-only access to the Trending and Troubleshooting app. One idea is to deny the "Design Time - Read" permission on the mashups used for creating and editing the trends.  When the user clicks the "plus" button in the app, it gives them a message saying they are "not authorized for Read."  This doesn't affect the "Delete" ability though; I'm still looking into that.   Re:  post

Hi all, We have Windchill authentication configured with thingworx. How to add user specifically to the role he belongs to?I've tried the add the role in ptc-identity-provider-authenticator but all the users are added to it. Is there any way to add the user to their respective role without manually. 

Is there a way to customize the email message template that is used when I create an Alert via the Configuration and Setup app?  I know that I can go into Composer and change the content of each individual Notification entity, but I don't want to have to make adjustments to every single one that our users create.  I want to change the format.   I've looked into the possibility of Adding a Custom Notification Handler (ptc.com), but I don't think the Configuration and Setup app can be used to create alerts that will use this custom handler.  If this is possible, I'd love to know how to do it. For reference, I'm using ThingWorx 9.1.2 and ThingWorx Apps 9.1.0.

Hoping someone is able to answer this question.We are trying to connect to a printer through a print server in ThingWorx to print a label.We were wanting to know if anyone knew what the address format would be for this connection? We've tried \\PrintServer\PrinterName and were not able to reach the printer yet.Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi, I have installed ThingWorx platform 9.3.0 (enabled SSL/TLS) and installed connection server 9.2.0 on the same VM and done cxserver.conf changes as per the documentation but when I run the connection server from CMD, nothing got shown and in cxserver.txt I can see below error. Error in custom provider, java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: port out of range:-1while locating com.thingworx.connectionserver.FabricBytesChannelProviderat com.thingworx.connectionserver.ConnectionServerModule.configure(ConnectionServerModule.java:44) Can someone help me to understand what went wrong here. I have created truststore and provided the details as part of CONNECTION_SERVER_OPTS too.

When I am using ItemLoadBehavior option as load all , button bar is behaving correctly. Hi there, we're trying to import PMML format model to Analytics and after uploading it, it's state is "not ready for testing". We converted the model written in Python to PMML using "JPMML-SkLearn library" version 1.7.4, (see below the model's header). Hi all,   I have installed Thingworx Connected Worker Cell. But got stuck at Finalizing install in the guide, it is mentioned that we need to specify Database Thing Name and Database Thing Template name which we create in the initial setup.   But during the initial setup, I didn't create any entity ( it is not mentioned in the guide also). Attached guide for reference   Now what should be the databaseThingName and databaseThingTemplateName   Could anyone help me to solve this issue?   Thanks, VR

Hii PTC Team,   We are using Kepware and the Advanced Tag plug-in with the above-mentioned details and creating complex tags, which are being updated using a Trigger Tag.   The Issue which we have observed is in terms of Complex Tags configuration, normally Complex Tags should triggered when our Trigger Tags are triggered, but we have observed that whenever we are launching Kepware Quick Client. In that particular timestamp also our Complex Tag is being generated.   We are using this complex tag’s XML data over the ThingWorx Platform and in the ThingWorx Platform valuestream, we observed that whenever we launch the Quick Client of Kepware, then the trigger tag is logged with the launch timestamp. We have set Complex Tag logging to be on only when a value is changed in ThingWorx Platform.   We know this shouldn't be happening because Quick Client is just for monitoring data quality and value, but it is happening.
