Has anyone had a chance to see the new customer vidoes we (PTC) has produced with some of our customers from around the world? They're documentary style, and focus on how manufacturers are delighting their customers, and how PTC helps. My favourite - the KTM story. What do you think of the customer stories? Which one is your favorite? You can watch them all at www.ptc.com/go/customers Cheers, Geoff
I'd like some guidance updating a stylesheet from 5.3 to either version 5.4 or 6.0. I have used the update stylesheet utility. This seems almost turnkey; however,a limiter is that this stylesheet was customized for MathFlow/MathType equations. I've gone through the process several times. I get a couple of errors, not an ovewhelming number. I can list them later if you like. Now it seems that even after saving the stylesheet, when I open a dita file again, an error message appears saying that the stylesheet is out of date. So this seems to be an endless cycle. Is there anyone familiar with this? Thanks, Katie
Hello, Can anyone tell me if it's possible, after generating callouts for an assembly in Arbortex Isodraw CAD Process, to create a table in the canvas listing the callout numbers and the part names? Regards, Ana
I want to reverse engineer a part. I had our QC technician measure the part using the Romer Measuring Arm. He sent me a step file. The step file was in 3-d. However, it only had circles and lines at elevations. It didn't have any surfaces. Is there a better format that should be used? iges maybe? Has anybody had success trying to import files created by a Romer Measuring Arm?

Hi all,I have an activity in a custom workflow which has two routing options yes and no.There are two roles associated with that activity as participants. They give their votes as yes or no.All these votes go to the creator in the next activity and the creator resends the task to only that person who has given his vote as yes. and any other participant who has given vote as yes should not get the task back. So how should i go about it..iam trying to write an expression to get which participant has given which vote but iam not getting any method for that in workflow. Please help me as soon as possible.
Sir,let me explain the senario,First we created EPM document using java program and created WT part using “windchill wt.load.LoadFromFile –d c:\PTC\dummy\part.xml - CONT_PATH /wt.inf.container.OrgContainer=AL/wt.pdmlink.PDMLinkProduct=H4” script(OOTB Script). To make connection between WT part and EPM document we used “windchill wt.load.LoadFromFile –d c:\PTC\dummy\partepmlinkloader.xml” Script. Now the problem is WT part and EPM document associated under context relationship. Because of that not able to change the revision ,state for the WT part.Normally WT part and EPM document should have owner association. So we request you to suggest how to change the association from context to owner. Matter is urgent we migrated almost 17000 parts. For any clarification please call me at 9841723216 or mail to vsiva.alvvc@ashokleyland.comRegards,V. Sivakumar.
Just wanted to see, how long, You all, and Yea, I'm from TX...lol have been using the software.... I have been using it since 1996 ... 16 yrs....and loved it....
I am posting this on both the Pro/E System Admin. forum and the Windchill Admin. forum.I am both the Creo System Administrator and just recently the Windchill System Administrator. I wanted to know if my poisition is unique or if others are in the same situation as me.I know each on their own can be a full time job but I manage a smaller group of Engineers and only 2 locations with 24 users total. I just started with Windchill and currently migrating data to it, so I don't know how this will work out in the end for me.Is it possible to be the Creo and Windchill Administrator for a smaler group of users without loosing my mind? I seem to think I can accomplish it but wanted to hear from others who are in the same position. Thanks"Too many people walk around like Clark Kent, because they don't realize they can Fly like Superman"
Hi everyone...Just a quick update. I've confirmed a great centrally located meeting space for the inaugural meeting of the Chesapeake Regional Users Group (CPUG). The meeting will be held at the brand new Miller Branch of the Howard County Library. This is a very large, modern, professional meeting space with projection capabilities, WiFi, and seating for up to 300 people. A map of the meeting space can be found HERE. The address is below:Miller Branch9421 Frederick RdEllicott City, MD 21042Phone: (410) 313-1950I'm working on invitations to the event for all area companies using PTC products. Once we have a rough tabulation of how many attendees we'll have, I'll firm up the meeting date. Currently I'm looking at a Thursday or Friday morning in the early December timeframe. Given that this is our first event, I wanted to limit the meeting to a half-day. Registration will begin at 9am and is free to all attendees. A tentative agenda follows:9am: Free Registration Begins9-10am: Meet
Hi, I am new using ArborText PE. My problem is the following: I have received a project with the structure: - configure (.acl files) - doctypes (A catalog with .atd, .cmd, .dtd, .fos) - documents (My sgm file) - entities (.CFG and .ENT files) - ifos (All the portions of ArborText Style) Firstly, I don't know how to import all this files into the ArborText PE. The finallity is if I could use the template into doctypes/dm/5.4/dm_descript_aecma180/dm_descript_aecma180.fos (inside the file, there are all the fos styles) I tried from the menu Format/Select Stylesheets and selecting the dm_descript_aecma180.fos but it doesn't run. Can Anybody help me, how to configure all that files in ArborText PE? Regards.

Windchill PartsLink enables the construction of a hierarchy of classification nodes but applies this to WTParts. This functionality would be very powerful if applied to Dynamic Documents to support reuse of information... helping users find what already exists and is available for use. http://communities.ptc.com/ideas/1744

From the ashes of the defunct MAPUG (Mid-Atlantic PTC Users Group) and the VA/DC area user's group, we're launching a brand new RUG- the Chesapeake Regional Users Group (CPUG). This group will focus heavily on the Creo (ProENGINEER) and Windchill PTC products. Multiple meetings will occur each year with the first beginning in Fall 2012. So what happened to the old groups? In my personal opinion, the previous RUGs in the mid-Atlantic region suffered from a severe case of "mission creep". Meetings lasted for hours on end and served no purpose other than as an extended sales pitch and a cash grab. At the last MAPUG meeting I attended, I paid admission at the door. This was followed by a torturous 2 hour demo of Wildfire 4 and 5 given mostly via an endless powerpoint slide deck. Eventually I was let loose to grab lunch but in the lunch area I was literally surrounded with vendors on all sides. After lunch, I gave a brief presentation and then sat down for another long demo and then finall
