  Single-Sourcing Solutions has launched a new series called “Arbortext Monster Garage” to energize the Arbortext community. We’ve lined up two sessions a month. All sessions are scheduled to take place in 30 minutes–start to finish. Many of the presenters you’ve seen at our monthly meetings are scheduled to be “shop coaches”. We’re excited to see this because for many of us, the ability to tweak every aspect of the product and the content that comes out was one of the primary advantages that drew us to the Arbortext platform. Here are the details: 30 minutes 2nd and 4th Fridays Shop Coaches are users Calendar for all of 2011 has already been published Beginner, intermediate, and advanced sessions Nearly all the Arbortext products have been included The first session is titled “Pop the Hood – Get Started with Arbortext Editor in 20 Minutes” presented by Lynn Hales. I posted a similar discussion in the Pro/ENGINEER community. I figured this group would be ideal for such a thing. Has anyone rendered something in Pro/ENGINEER that's Halloween related? What do you think about the new Creo suite of tools? Is it just a fancy rebranding, a money grab, a software revolution, or somewhere in between? Are you excited about it, not impressed, or just waiting to see what it can do with real data in the real world?   My two cents:   At the last World Event a PTC developer told me they would be utilizing the ProductView engine in future releases of ProE. Looks like that may be related to the open data kernel that allows all these new 'apps' to communicate smoothly.   The apps themselves appear to take ProductView 9.0, split it into functionally specific applications, and give it the ProductView 9.1 interface and speed. I'm glad they're bringing back a lot of functionality that was lost between PV 9.0 and 9.1, but I haven't seen much that was actually new in those live demos. It does look refined, though, and I'm hoping it's as fast as 9.1.   The two way communication between parametric and direct modeling looks like a great

Updated: 10 May 2018   Arbortext folks are by nature a chatty and helpful bunch. This list is constantly evolving. When you're talking Arbortext resources, you often get a mixed bag of advice. Arbortext is a product line and the set of Arbortext products cover a multitude of disciplines. In this list, you won't find generic places for Tech Comm information, about becoming a better writer, or developing content.  This is a list about Arbortext.   If you want Arbortext information -- purely information about Arbortext -- there are several trusted places to go for specific information about Arbortext:   Here are our favorites, in no particular order....   Arbortext Monster Garage book series The first books about implementing, configuring, and using Arbortext came out this last summer (2016). The key was to get the angles of the Pentagon and Hexagon correct so that when its assembled, it fits together properly.   Then I made this animation with each segment controlled thru mechanism and made Animations of certain sequences..
