If I use the Crossovers in Creo schematics, How do I manage the crossovers like add & delete what is required? Currently the same added via automatic selection, but we need an option to keep few & remove few. Kindly help. ThanksNaresh
Hi, I would like to understand if we can add the specific standard electrical libraries from an external sources? If so what is the procedure? Kindy help.ThanksNaresh
There is very little documentation on this. I have a simple block (in wiring diagram) with 5 ports on it. Each port has a Label attached to it (labels are not attached to the block but to the ports) I run single fibers to each port. I want the Port to grab the "color" parameter (or any parameter) from the wire and that calculated parameter will be pushed to the text label. It should be easy right? Thanks in advance! Patiently waiting....
Are there any additional default system functions to be used for creating derived parameters other than the following:dg_inherit_from_ancestordg_inherit_from_connecteddg_derive_from_enclosuredg_derive_indirectdg_derive_indirect2dg_derive_as_label Can any of these be used to propagate a property value from one port to another? Thank you.
Does anyone have a fix for Creo View not wanting to compare PDFs? I add the PDFs correctly and select them to compare but in the top right the loading wheel just spins and doesn't load anything.
I have several complex components I need to enter into CS. They have upwards of a hundred pins. I have the graphic representation in .DXF files. How can I load the .DXF files and incorporate them? CREO 11 Schematic.
Hello everyone, When I select an orientation in Creo View (Home > Orientations), the model rotates to the specified orientation. This transition takes about one second. Is there a way to make the change instant (0 seconds)?I checked the standard configuration options but couldn’t find anything. Since there are many properties available, it’s possible I overlooked the relevant one. Thanks in advance for your help.
Do We have to buy illustrator as an application addon or separate install or how does it work? Is there any way we can get a demo to try out before buy? We do a lot of installation drawings for military, and we are challenged with 2d drawings of interior assembly systems instructions. Want to see if Creo I is a good candidate and helpful.
Hello everyone,I am currently trying to get as much information as possible out of my .pvz files using the Creo View Toolkit 12.0.But i am struggling to get the Information from Measurements especially the "Summary" one.I tried looking at the Markup class but i don't get it to work. I don't even know if that's the right approach or possible at all.Any solutions, advices or hints would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!
Currently using Creo Schematics 12, trying to perfect the CID-to-WID process. One issue that I have noticed is that if a dataset it applied to a circuit, in the circuit interface diagram, then that dataset does not get transferred to the wiring diagram. For example, if create a circuit in the CID, and assign a dataset to this circuit (20 AWG, BLACK, TXL), when I place the corresponding wire in the WID, I would expect the wire to be 20AWG, BLACK, TXL.However, this is not the case. All datasets have to be reassigned to each wire. Am I overlooking a parameter, or anything? Is this working as intended? If it's working as intended, why can't the circuit dataset be applied to each corresponding wire? Otherwise you're duplicating efforts, thus creating more work than necessary.
we are using windchill 12 and don't have access to creo view as the chromeOS doesn't support this app.i saw the chrome browser has webgl enabled but when i am clicking on the visualization, nothing is happening. please guide me here.
Could please tell us how we can open creo view for chromeos user and what are application need to install to open the
I have designed the schematics and assigned the color codes (e.g., BR, BL, BK, etc.). After exporting the XML file and importing it into Creo Parametric, everything appears as per the schematics, but the wire colors or cable details are not being reflected.Does anyone know why this happens and what the resolution might be?From what I understand, this could be related to the DMT file settings in the model. However, I’m not sure about the correct sequence or procedure to resolve this.If anyone has insights or the correct steps to fix this, please let me know
Hello,I'm having trouble with Creo View Adapters proe2pv.rcp settings. When assembly has multiple multibody parts all of them are published using one shape and same is for having multiple parts with flexibility. This should be easily fixed by changing conversion mode to full, but I end up with the same result no matter which conversion mode I select. Only way I can verify is when I choose Conversion Mode: Minimum Memory, I can see in log file waring as this function is deprecated."proe2pv Warning: Publishing job with deprecated option - Conversion Mode: Minimum Memory. This recipe option will be removed in a future release of Creo View Adapter." If I run in batch mode from command prompt I can see that output is only one *.ol file for each assembly component. Publish jobs are run from Windchill and worker is on separate server. We are using Creo 10.0.5.0 and Creo view adapters 11.0.0.0. Any Ideas why is that happening? Or what I'm doing wrong? /Girts
I am having issues with importing a term table .csv file into Creo schematics 7 and unsure where to look or correct on the issue. The table seems to work fine with 1467 entries and seems to start having issues of not loading and locking up schematics when additional entries are added beyond that. I am also uncertain if any blank cells have to have an entry of UNSET or if they can be left blank. Is there a limitation on the number of SET columns that can be created. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.Thank you,Scott
How can I create a custom connector, such as a dual-port connector with both LH (Left-Hand) and RH (Right-Hand) variants?I’m trying to build a similar connector but I'm stuck on a few points:How to create a dual-port – When I use a simple port, it only creates a single port and not a dual one. So, I’m wondering if I need to create a dual port first, since it’s not available in the default port options. How to replicate the behavior of the default connector setup – For example, when I select a default connector, a window pops up asking how many ports I want. I want to create a custom connector with the same functionality.I've attached an image below for reference.
Does anyone know how to set a password for a custom catalog in Creo Schematics? I followed the given instructions, but I'm still encountering an error. Virtual Interconnect's website is not working. You go to the page, and it prompts you to download something (that's a hard-stop no). The emails to Kieran or Brian Gilhooley bounce back as undeliverable (from two different senders here). Anyone else had problems? The image below is from the browser when trying to load page.
Creo Illustrate files doesn't show surface models & sketched lines generated from Creo data. Only solid models are visible. Is there a setting I need to check to be able to show this data in Illustrate?
I am using Creo Schematics Release 4.0 and DatecodeF000Layer control is missing. Tried to export settings from another user with the same result. Suspect a corrupted license.
Hello, I am relatively new to Creo illustrate and I wanted to ask for a guide to creating manuals (lets say I created a figure and now I want to display the figure and the respective sBOM in a manual format) since I saw that the software has the capability to do so. Also, I heard you can export it as 3D pdf or Jpeg is there a more optimal way or a standard protocol when creating manuals using Creo illustrate? Thank you.
Hi @agarland On a similar note - I've found out that the linking process is based on Feature IDs. When updating the linked PVZ file, components (parts or assemblies) in eBOM and sBOM and all of their visual attributes in Figures are compared and retained / erased based on their IDs. Those IDs are not changeable in Creo as far as I know. And IDs change whenever you change a component or replace it. In every such case the data in figures for this component is erased in every figure. Here's an example - I've got a top assembly which contains a pallet (which in turn consists of several parts). Someone revised the pallet assembly and added several new parts retaining the rest. In the top assembly they for some reason deleted the pallet assembly and assembled the same .asm component. The result is that the pallet is the same item as it used to but with a new Feature ID. When you open any c3di file which contains this top assembly the pa

Hello, I just wanted to ask if there is a way that I can adjust my line thickness while using the HLR mode? let's say there are some parts in the model where I want thicker lines and other parts of the model with thinner lines. Thank you
Hello,I have few harness installs that are needed to be converted into either .obj or .stl files. It is not convertible directly. IS there a alternative way to do those. Please help.
