Hi, I am fairly new to CREO Schematics. So far I have been creating parts that come in 1 piece. The next challenge is to define a part with related accessories. Examples are:- A power switch mounted on a DIN rail with terminal covers and the shaft to connect to the rotator on the door (see image below)- A relay holder on a Din rail and the relay to plug into it (see image below)- A terminal block with a jumper to make a connection between the jumpers The goal is to have all these parts in Creo Schematics to allow outputting a complete BOM of parts with their related accessories. I am using Creo schematics 10.
Anyone have a suggestion on how to manage a cable/harness in Schematics (by dataset) to a quantity of 1? We have harnesses that are 10 conductor and 12 conductor. We apply a dataset, example 10HRNS1, 10HRNS2, 12HRNS1, 12HRNS2, etc. We need to limit these to be quantity of 1 each so we do not run into errors on the BOM since they are same part number but labeled differently. So my 10HRNS1 can only be quantity 1, 10HRNS2 can only be quantity 1, 12HRNS1 can only be quantity 1 and 12HRNS2 can only be quantity 1. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Hello All, For example, ability to cut a part of a case (see black line) best wishes, Gabi
As a company, in 2022 we downloaded Creo Illustrate 8.0. I have just started using it and am stuck on this issue. Currently, when we go into Windchill (version 11, soon will be going to version 12) we access an .asm file and convert it to a .pvz file and then use that in Creo Illustrate to make images for use in end-user manuals. Our understanding is that when a pvz is created it “breaks the link” between the active version in Windchill and what’s being used in Creo Illustrate. So, if our current model is Revision A and we have created 20 different figure views and then changes are made several times and we are now using Revision C, this means the file information in Creo is outdated, correct? How, if at all possible, can we automatically update the files in Creo Illustrate to Rev C without having to redo all 20 images? Is this can be done, how do we do it? If this is not available in Creo Illustrate 8.0, is it available in a more current version? The pers
I need to create a note with a symbol similar to a drop, in the notes menu there are only square, triangle, ellipse... I would like to know if there is a way to customize these shapes?
Hello, I am the Creo Librarian for my team and we had an issue recently that caused some folks Creo Schematics files to error during the syncing process. They get the error "This file contains an item name that already exists in the design." This had to do with a datatable issue and we have been able to correct most peoples files by going into that datatable and deleting the duplicate parts. However, on some of the designs, the datatable in question is not appearing in the datatable explorer and I am not sure how to recover that datatable as the program is saying that it already exists within the design. Is there a way to recover said datatable or am I looking in the wrong location to get it back into the datatable explorer. Thanks, Justin
Hello,What is the difference b/w isodraw vs creo illustrate? Is Creo illustrate replacing IsoDraw? What points should i consider if i want to upgrade to creo illustrate?
Hello, I wanted to ask regarding the fade out feature. So while animating I used the fade out feature and it worked initially, after I ran the animation again whenever I fade out my parts they go into the 'wireframe' appearance instead of disappearing. Also, I checked the transparent % and it was at 0% but it still looks like the picture I shared below. Thank you.
Hi Support Team,I’m currently using Creo WebGL 11.0 and working with large scenes containing thousands of .ol files. Is there any way to optimize the performance of WebGL scene rendering in this context? Even though not all nodes are rendered at once, I’d appreciate any recommendations on what aspects can be optimized to improve performance.
I am working on a specific module which is a part of an bigger assembly. I simply don't want to waste the time and open the entire assembly every time. So I'm trying to select the only impacted CAD modules and work on them in CreoView. When I open these individual CAD modules in CreoView, the CAD modules are not getting mated together at their designated locations like they would when I open the bigger assembly, but instead they are appearing at distant places from each other as if they have their own co-ordinate system. It is not taking/remembering the distances it was assembled in the bigger assembly. When I open from WindChill, I just type in the CAD module number and search them and open a new session in CreoView. I then open the neighboring CAD module (which gets mated to the previous one) from WindChill and when I add them to the session in which our previous CAD module is present, it doesn't get mated at all. Im only using CreoView and want to understand how I can get the

Hello, I recently finished a 3-D CAD design utilizing mechanisms and animations from Creo Parametric. I wanted to ask if there would be away for me to utilize this animations and import it to Creo illustrate mainting both the motor movement and constraints used? Thank you.
See the attached screenshot. I've reinstalled CREO view several times, checked the checksum, I really dont know what to do here. It's incredibly unreadable. Is there somewhere i can try an older version of CREO view?
Are combined state descriptions available in Creo View and Is it possible to add a column to the Viewables tab to display them?
I'm working with my IT dept to try and install Creo View en masse and they are asking for a .msi file. Is there a way too get one? The default download on PTC Support is just the .exe in a ZIP. Has anyone done a mass install of Creo View? Any recommendations for tackling this? Trying to install V11.1

Hello! My team is looking into the Sectioning tools of Creo Illustrate. We are running Windows 11 mostly with Illustrate 11.1 While reading through the Documentation, we found this page To View the Section in 2D ViewIt refers to a "Show 2D View" button in the ribbon menu in the Sectioning tab, then the Setup group. Looking at my Creo Illustrate, I see no such button there. I figured it may be hiding, so I went into the ribbon customization menu, and looked for "Show 2D View", as well as looking at everything tool in the Sectioning Category. I couldn't find anything Would someone be able to let me know how me and my team can access the Show 2D View feature for sectioning in Creo Illustrate? I'm probably missing something. Thanks!
Hello,I want to remove hidden lines in my half section (circled red in attached picture) but still have hidden lines activated in the remaning part of the view (circled blue in attached picture) - how can I make this happen? I'm currently on Creo 11Thankful for all the help I can get./ Andreas
Hello, I would like to create a custom legend that uses the values of an attribute from the EPMdoc, except that I would like to limit the number of decimal places displayed or remove the zeros.see image in attachments 0.940000 should display as 0.940.600000 should display as 0.60.900000 should display as 0.9 Is there an argument that allows us to master this?regards,Arnaud
Hello all,I wanted to ask how you handle additional 2D symbols such as arrows, annotations and other image additions. I am thinking about creating a whole range of helpful 2D symbols. For example, all kinds of arrows and also a bin. I find that helpful sometimes. Of course, such things can be done later with another tool during further image processing, but we would like to do the complete image creation in CI if possible. My questions:1. how do you deal with this issue?2. is it possible to rotate inserted 2D symbols? This would be very helpful for arrows.3. is it possible to change the order of the inserted 2D symbols. The last 2D symbols inserted overlap the previous ones, and sometimes rearranging them would be helpful. Thanks and best regardsRamon
In Creo Schematics 11.0, when placing a Block shape on a block diagram sheet first, run a report, select place artifact, and then place the Wiring shape on a wiring diagram sheet, the software does this properly. When you have a wiring shape placed first, and then place the block shape next, the software does not show the block shape of that artifact. Only the label is displayed, but the shape's outlines are not displayed. I can click and drag/select the artifact and the properties can be seen in the parameter panel. I have tried updating all sheets, restarting the program, but still does not display. No Error is displayed. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but when I look at J1(NO GOOD) and J2(GOOD) in the model explorer, J1 does not have the 2 block ports (for this shape the ports are named BLOCK and MATE) but J2 does.
