How do you put in the zooming capabilities of the sensor payload into the worksheet?

How are you doing test simulations in Creo 2.0, because when we open up PTC Simulate it says we do not have the proper license. Is there any other way to simulate in PTC Creo 2.0 or another softwear?

Hello,I have one of my students who installed Creo onto his laptop, a HP Pavillion dv6 running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. Program apparently installed without any issue, though now every time he boots Creo the web page that opens when the program runs cannot be closed. See screen shot below.Can select new and create a new part, the model tool bar opens and you can select extrude or what ever. Apparently the program is operating with the exception that the web page cannot be closed and is as a consequent hiding everything behind it. Is there a setting we've missed? Any suggestions please?regardsIan

I am a mentor for team FRC 3173 - IgKnighters. We very much want to use Winchill to share Creo CAD files. I am having troubles loading a first CREO CAD file into Windchill for others to access. I am able use the CREO Server Management function to log into the Winchill server. I am not able to get the Red arrow pointing to the server but rather a blue square shows up on the Server Management sub screen. I can see the Windchill file structure in CREO... but am not able to save any thing to the work space... View the Workspace in CREO... or upload\checkin any parts into Windchill for others to access. I have watched the Robotalks several times... and can not figure out what I am doing wrong. Is it possible for PTC to log into our Windchill site to confirm that some one can copy a CAD file to our Windchill site? Our site is" FRC 3173 - IgKnighters. Attached are some screen shots. Hi,I have Creo Parametric 2.0 running on Windows 8 Computer. I have enabled the option "afx_enabled" but I do not see the Framework Tab after restarting the program. I cannot acces the Advanced Framework Extension. Any tips?Thank You

I've recently been trying trying to price out new drive train options (the new COTS parts released by Vex Robotics). If it's relevant, my process for these files is typically to download the .step file from the VexPro website, then generate an assembly. After I've generated the assembly, I go in and assign weights, colors, etc. to all the parts, as well as reassembling the assembly in order to make sure the constraints are all right.My problem is that after I've gone through this process, I cannot generate a BOM for the assembly. When I try to do so, Creo throws a "Cannot open output file" error. I really don't know why this would be so, as I've successfully generated BOMs in Creo parametric before.Any suggestions for what the problem is and how I can fix it?

This hot rod model uses the Scalextric4Schools parts pack and is designed to be 3D printed. There are three RP parts in the PTC Creo design; the rear body (blue), front body (red) and V8 engine (chrome).  You will probably use a single colour for both body parts and maybe black or white for the engine.Notes:  Building the blue body piece upside down and the red body piece right way up should minimise support material.The V8 engine will need support material for the exhausts whichever way it's built.The windshield frame can be made from 1mm wire e.g.a paper clip. The assembly sequence should go something like this:Hold large white contrate pinion inside the rear body (blue), pass the rear axle through the hole in the side of the body into the contrate and out the other side. how can i move Creo Academic 2.0 licence server to the new server.

I have a student that is trying to install Creo 2.0 from the PTC down load site. I understand it is a large file. (4 GB I think....) The student had it run over night and most of another day and only got as far to 70% down load. They tried a 2nd time and it started from the beginning again and only got as far as 50% before stalling. Are there any tricks to restarting a down load where it left off... of otherwise breaking up the install to complete in sections? I did not get there internet speed... and can pursue getting that information. Do you have any sort of a table as to what should be expected for the down load time frames based on the down load speed?

When we did the PTC training in Oregon, Scott showed us how to constrain certain components so they don't move when we are using drag. This is especially useful when you have multiple components that can move in your assembly and when you start dragging all of them start moving. Our team has now built up an assembly and we'd like to do this, but can't figure it out. SM - Can you remind us how this is done in the drag panel?Thanks,Kris K

Hi,A while since the last time I used Creo, so a beginner question I recently re-installed Creo.Now I am starting to model, I'd like to make a datum plane with angular offset.I click the plane in the datum group.Then I select a plane for which I want the new datum plane go through (I select the through from the drop down menu.).I try to select one more plane using control button. I can not select more planes or objects as references (The datum plane placement window is open.)How to proceed forward?

Hey everyone, I could use a little input here if anyone has it. I'm a college student and recently purchased the student licensed Mathcad 15. Now after a few weeks, it seems that any files that I create or open and save on my system are being corrupted! I get the following message when I try to open a file:The contents of this file have been corrupted:Detailed Error Information:File: (file path)Reason:Line Number: 0Character Position: 0If I start a new file, everything works fine for the first day. I can open it, close it, save it, etc with no problems. But the next day, error message. I tried saving a copy as an HTML file. Same results. The next day, the links to the pictures all had incorrect paths to the pictures?and that's it. PTC couldn't help me since student license support is limited to instiallation only. I uninstalled/reinstalled it, it worked fine for a week or so and now it's doing it again!Very frustrating!Any input???ThanksLee

Hey-- I'm creating a trophy using Creo Parametic (for the 3D printing award given at Minnesota FIRST Technical Challenge State Championship), and I was wondering whether I could use a vector image obtained from the logo of the sponsor of the award (Stratasys) and import that straight into sketch, or otherwise avoid having to somehow trace over the original image. Who do we contact to have team member email addresses added to the Windchill database? I have tried to add them to the Windchill project but they dont exist in the database.

I have an academic license and I am trying to install Creo 2.0, downloaded on this page (MED-100WIN-CD-390_M070_Win32-64). Itsn't the first time that I install the program because the license was not working and uninstall it. But this time, trying to install it, the setup.exe doesn't work! I run it and nothing happens. I tried many things (run as administrator, run in safe mode, run with other compatibility ...) but nothing works when the first time I installed everything was fine. Also installer of trial version runs but the full version no. Hello, i'm new to PTC software and still strugling to understand it. I'm constructing something for my school project but i don't know how to add standart parts in my assembly. I understand there is no library with CREO but there is internet browser implemented through which i can download these parts from internet. I downloaded tapered roller bearing from 3dmodelspace.com but when i try to add it into my assembly it says "The file (...) was created with a commercial version of Creo Parametric and is not compatible with the version of Creo Parametric you are running." I have student edition ofcourse. Is there a way around? How Can i add standart parts into student edition assembly? Should i use different source of these models?

Can you recommend an available video that steps a team through using Creo Parametric with Windchill. We have multiple subteams (e.g. drives, acquisition, storage, shooter, ...). Each of these areas is working on CAD for their contribution to the team. They all have to integrate. Currently the only way we have figured out how to do this is to have the Drives team publish and assembly. Then have the Acquistion team use the Drives team assembly... and add their component... creating a combined drives and acquistion assembly. The Storage team pulls in the combined drives and acquisition assembly... adds the storage assembly... and publishes this new expanded assembly.... and so on until all of the team components have been added.I am guessing this is not the normal or recommended processes. I am looking for what is the recommended process for multiple teams to work independently... but still be able to pull in the latest design updates from other teams to validate integration requirements.

Pictured is the top part of our scissor mechanism. There's a Pin constraint at every joint where the beams intersect. They work fine and 'scissor' as expected.Now I want to attach the beam with the slot and hole in in such that it's Pinned to one scissor beam (at B) and a peg in the other beam (A) slides through the slot as the scissors expand/contract.I've been at this for a while and just can't get it - usually I can't get past 'connection definition is incomplete' sort of messages. If I do get past that it just doesn't do much of anything.I've tried Slot and Slider constraints on A using the hole on the scissor beam and putting an axel through it and using that.I've defined an axis and planes but they're not taken as valid selections while defining the constraints. This makes me wonder if I'm just doing something fundamentally wrong - I'm not a mechanical engineer type.Thanks,Dan HoltFTC 7300 Mentor
