While attempting to install a student version of Creo/ProEngineer Wildfire 5.0 from online I encountered a problem with the license configuration. I have an valid user account and internet access. I entered my PTC username and password on the License Configuration page of the setup.exe. The instructions then indicate for me to select the "Generate License Files" radio button, however, the username/password fields as well as the selection button is grayed out and doesn't allow me to proceed.Any help would be greatly appreciated.William Duncan
Hello,I have been using Creo Parametric 2.0 Student Edition for a while and it has worked fine until now. Yesterday, after checking a piece I rendered a couple of weeks ago something really weird happened. Whilst the sketch looks perfectly fine once the piece is rendered the view is completely messed up.The sketch is the following. The sketch is revolved along an axis in the middle of the right and front plane:This shape worked fine every time since I first modelled it. However since yesterday it fails to generate a proper shape and it appears like this instead of how it should appear. The rest of the shapes I've modelled work perfectly fine and this error only happens with this particular piece. When I edit definition everything appears normal but then the error happens once again. I have tried regenerating but it just doesn't work. Do I have to remodel the piece or is this error fixable? Thanks in advance for your help

I've installed Creo 2.0 academic version and it will not run.If I remove the quality agaent then it closes reporting error code 09 and if I install the quality agent it fails to run at all and windows closes the program.Any help on this would be much appreciated.Thanks,Jake.
Hello, I've been registered correctly, but now I don't know where go to download the program?Thank you.
I can't uninstall CREO2. Why I need it - because my WF5 won't run after CREO2 F000, but F001 not help - old build is still here plus additionaly I got F001. Each time I push UNinstall button in "Uninstall a programm" menu - I get not helping window with just ERROR word in it.
Have been trying to get to the home page for RWDC over the last few days keep getting the following error messageUnknown Host Description: Unable to locate the server named "www.realworlddesignchallenge.org" --- the server does not have a DNS entry. Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name, or the server no longer exists. Double-check the name and try again.
Hi, our team has begun development on our robot within creo. I want to demonstrate an arm and how far it can move but the parts intersect when I use the drag components button. For the FTC field the balance arms some how don't intersect with the floor mats when using drag components. I would like to know how this functionality was achieved so we can implement it into our design. Any ideas?
Hello everyone! This is my first year in FRC and I've been chosen to lead my school's CAD team. I have very little 3D modeling experience and have never worked on something like this. So far I've learned very basic functions of Creo 2.0 such as Revolve, Patterns and Swept Blend. All my studying has been done through the internet. What I've been wondering is if anyone would be willing to share some tips, guides or parts to practice on. Currently I have a few people working with me who I need to hand out tasks to, but I'm finding it difficult to find them part pictures that they could work on. Help would be appreciated.
Hi, I´ve installed Creo 2.0 student edition on a hp workstation (8gb ram, nvidia quadro fx 1700) but the program isn´t running. Is there an issue with the graphics board? Thank´s for your help! SP
This year First has allowed a number of different "new" parts. I've been slowly working on designing some of them for our schools 6 teams to work with, but the corkscrew inside the WormDriveGearbox is baffleing me. Has anyone designed this yet? Are there any tutorials on this? Any recommendations? Thanks for your help. This worm wheel should be pretty simple to make by creating the teeth and patterning them around a cylindar .The worm gear (corkscrew) is what I'm unsure of. It has two spiraling sets that run parallel to each other. If anyone has the time and wants to do a screenshare with me, I'd appreciate your time. Thanks
The Graphics Toolbar is missing from my workspace in Creo Parametric 2.0. Could someone please let me know how to make it visible again? Thanks so much.Jean-Ann
In response to a question from teacher Desmond O'Neil I put together this helicopter model to show belts and gears in action.A belt connection links the motor and the main rotor pulleys with a reduction in rotational speed. The main and tail rotors in a helicopter are at right angles and in real life can be linked using a twisted belt but Creo Parametric doesn't allow this. However, a PTC Creo gear connection will work and links them in the model with a gear ratio that makes the tail rotor spin faster. The model also demonstrates the Freestyle tools applied to the fuselage. Hello All,I'm new to this forum, so by way of background - I am a 2nd year FRC engineering mentor, and a long-time (20+ years) Pro/E user. The team that I am mentoring had never used CAD before (the school does not offer any classes that use CAD). Last year I downloaded the free license of Creo that PTC gives to FIRST teams onto the team's lab computer, and the kids showed some real interest. This year, I'd like to get the kids more involved in using CAD, but a question has come up. The other mentors believe (and I agree) that it would be helpful for the kids that are intersted in CAD to have a copy of the software on their laptops so that we don't all have to share the one computer. There has been some talk of switching to another CAD software that hands out multiple licenses. Of course, we don;t have anyone that knows the other software. Can I just have several of the kids download the student version of Creo? Is use of the software for FRC an acceptable use of the student license? Ar
Two optional exercises were mentioned in "Phase 2 Detailed Design" (page 15) of the How to Develop a Product Workshop. The text said that these exercise are found in the Phase 2 Folder but I could not find them. They both sound interesting, are they available anywhere else?
Hey everybody, My team's trying to train for the Real World Design Challenge by following the How To Model Almost Anything manual on the site's Getting Started page. However, we have Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 and we need to update to Creo Parametric 2.0 in order to make it work. As a team that has participated in RWDC in the past, do we get free updates for Creo?IS Creo Parametric 2.0 the latest version?
Some customers are seeing the following message when installing Mathcad:Mathcad PDSi viewable support: Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate.Mathcad is trying to install an Adobe driver but a more recent version of the driver is already on your computer. You can ignore the message and continue with the installation. This has no impact on Mathcad.

Getting Started with the Product Development Process The first phase of the Product Development Process transforms great ideas into the intital concepts and preliminary designs of the products that will be developed. It is also the phase in which a project plan is created that will identify who owns which tasks and when they need to be completed. Click Here to view the downloadable version of this video. If anyone is in need of some of the new parts for this years challenge, I was asked by another team to create the new beefy tire that FIRST has allowed. It's as close to the correct measurements as I could make it. Feel free to use it if you want!
Most people will be familiar with the Impossible triangle, often referred to as the Penrose triangle and the classic solution with a gap at one corner. The illusion only works looking from one viewpoint and with monocular vision. This PTC Creo model show an alternative solution with no gap between the three elements. It too only works from a single viewpoint (and from behind) and with monocular vision.
Oh, you know you want to do it, but where do you start? Lemme give you a tip and a starting point. Check out this document in the Creo Community. If you get good, try submitting to the contest. Would be cool to have some robotic or FIRST jack-o-lanterns this year.
Production & Field Support:In this webinar, we will cover how the prepared product in PTC Creo will be introduced into the field. This involves developing a field support plan and preparing a product retirement plan. Click Here to view the downloadable version of this video. (view in My Videos)
