Hi guys, quick question. I know a team in Portland, Oregon area that may be interested in using Creo Direct. Is this currently available? Thanks,Josh
Hello,I have a Student License for Creo 2.0 and it worked when I first installed it. I don't remember the licensing process, but I know that in that process a license file was generated, because I still have it. I thought that for reinstalling I only had to use that file and the licensing would be done, but the truth is that it only asks me for a code, but I don't think I have it. What should I do?Thanks in advance,Francisco
Can someone please let me know when the new FTC field will be uploaded to the USFIRST website? My team has been waiting for the field so we can test if our robot will work.
We are trying to create a pattern around a cylindar so that we can create a fan blade for one of our projects. I made a cylindar for the base of the assembly, and I created a blade, but I cannot figure out how to pattern copies of the blade around the base evenly. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.Thanks.....
I have installed Creo 2.0 and all the stuff with it, I've tried with and without the quality control agent. But when it finally finishes installing and I click on it to start it literally nothing happens. Nothing loads, nothing shows up, nothing happens at all. Help me?

Can we run Creo 2.0 Academic edition on a computer with Intel Integrated Graphics and a 1366 x 768 display? If yes, is it even worth it. The computer is Dell Vostro 3450. The specs say that it supports OpenGL. It has win 7 64 bit and 4GB. We are a rookie First Tech team and would like to try out our free Creo 2.0 license. But for now we don’t have access to any PC that is either supported or certified in PTCs official list.
Virtual Laboratory PTC Creo was developed so that engineers and designers could do simulations and predict how a product or part would react to given loads and conditions. In this way, PTC Creo becomes a virtual laboratory where experiments of all types can be created and performed. Click Here to view the downloadable version of this video. (view in My Videos)
Is there any place where you can find pre-made Tetrix part with which you can manipulate and work with in Creo?
My computer runs windows 7 64 bit and meets all of the specifications for Creo. I have my product code, but everytime I run the setup wizard to generate the license it returns this:A failure occured during license generation. An unknown error occured requesting a license file be generated from ptc.comI am using this software in an engineering elective at Univerisity of Alabama Birmingham.
Yes though the Creo software is intended for use on single a machine only, if your machine needs to be replaced it is possible to install and license the software on a new machine. Please submit a Support Request and include:The exact edition of the software you’re usingThe order number if you purchased the softwareThe product code that you used to install the software the first timeThe PTC HostID of your machines (this is your physical MAC address of the machine)A new license file will be sent to you with instructions for installation.
How long should it take to receive my teams Windchill invite?
I'm working through the part modeling exercise in Section 2 of "How to Model Almost Anything", and I can't figure out how to assign the material (brass in the example). Tried Applications->Simulate which launched Simulate Lite. I think I managed to assign brass to the part, but whenever I try Analysis->Mass Properties I'm getting the default density of 1 Kg / mm^3.
Hi PTC,We are working with the MATRIX hardware and we want to use the CREO to model our robot, Matrix Robotics International System is include it in the CREO to model?Best regards.Marco.
What is the best way to add a DC motor to it's bracket? Which constraint should I use? I want to be able to rotate the motor and adjust it at a later time, but am unsure which is the best method. Thanks for any tips.
Is there a way to get more color choices in the student and academic versions of Creo? Many of the team robot models appear to have many more colors for their parts that we can't seem to find.
Creating Assembly Models in PTC Creo Assembly models are the way we model products. All the parts that make up a product are assembled into the model so that we can determine the overall height, weight, volume, center of gravity and other properties of the final product. To understand assembly models, it is important to understand assembly constraints and how to use them to assemble parts. Click Here to view the downloadable version of this video. (view in My Videos)
Trying to install Creo here. When using the wizard it's asking for the location to be installed in. It seems that ANY change on that page (other than unchecking the Quality Agent box) results in disabling of the Install button. For example I don't have room on my C: so am trying to change drives. As soon as I click on the box, the Install button greys out.
I am being told that my license has expired, but I cannot find any way to renew it, get and enter a new code, or anything. Just a completely non-interactive box with the only clickable thing being an "OK" button. All windows automaticaly close themselves. How am I supposed to recover functionality?

When I try to install the Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 Student Edition from the disk it gives me an error message that states: This mode requires an internet connection to access PTC.com.
This is our first year teaching CAD (ptc/creo) in the high school. After 3 weeks, in a class of about 22-25, most of the students are starting to get the hang of the drawing tool. My question to all who are reading, what is your opinion on a good, efficient method of Grading the students? Are there any testing materials (mult choice, drawing exhibits) available through the PTC Academic Program? To be honest, I'd like to just give a pass/fail and concentrate on giving the students the time in class to develop their hands-on skill. But unfortunately, we still live in a grade based environment. Any ideas or test/quiz examples greatly appreciated.Thanks.
Hi,I am an absolute begineer, using Mathcad to do a uni assignment.I have a file I have been working on for a few days that I cannot even open as it causes Mathcad to crash, I really need to retreive it or ill have to start again and the assignment is due soon Any ideas as to how to go about it?Cheers
Here's what should be a simple question. When I use the round feature and it gives me a dimension of 10 , what does that mean? Is the ten based on a radius from some center point, or is it a length, or a number of degrees on a circle. There is nothing that tells me. I guess for seasoned engineers this is a no brainer, but for a computer programmer who is now teaching CAD....??Also the same question on creating ARCS. Is there a way to figure out the measurement system at play. Thanks for your patience.
