Can anyone tell me how to unsubscribe from these last chance offers I receive every week? The "unsubscribe" link doesn't seem to work, on this website I can't find a (working) email address. It's annoying at least.

Hello community, I have a problem with licencing pro e. Everytime I want to create a new licence it says that I have the maximum of licences reached. That can be true, because i hade problems with the offline licence so i made a few online licences. But every time i start pro e, i got a note "licence mistake -9". So I uninstalled pro e(incl. registry clean)but can't get a new licence now. What should i do? Thanks for help Phil from germany

I tried opening some of the parts I worked on at school on my new downloaded student version, but everytime I try opening them the ProE simply closes. Also, I tried creating a new part and after I grabbed placement (during extrusion) and it wont switch to the black screen so that I can begin. Help please!

Hi All, Anyone every get this error. It pops up as soon as I start up PRO/E. When I click ok, the program closes. I've contacted PTC Sudent Support, just wanted to post on here and see if anyone has seen this before and may know what to do. Message reads: Warning Message List: License request failed for feature PROE_Schools:-2: Invalid license file syntax.[/b]

I have Pro/E Wildfire 4.0 student edition installed and working but the mechanica application does not show up. How do I install the mechanica application.

Is there a way that I can tell if I am actually looking at a students work or if they just copied someone else drawing file and slapped their name on it? I don't know if Pro|E records who was logged into a workstation or not when the drawing or part file originated. Thanks.

I purchased ProE Student Edition last February. It worked fine initially. Now, though, when I try to start ProE I get a message box that says "License request failed for feature PROE_StudentEdition4: -9 Invalid host" (followed by some other details). Once I click OK, ProE closes. What does this mean? I'm not very knowledgeable of computer know-how beyond basic usage. Can anyone explain in a simple way how to fix this problem?

I am attempting to do the above tutorial but I noticed it is for the "School Advance Edition". I have the "Student Edition" v3.0. I have noticed there are some distinct differences. Is there a different tutorial for the "Student Edition"? I am down to the bottle's construction and I do not see any way do do it as the tutorial says. Any suggestions? Steve Johnson

I have Wildfire 4.0 student edition, and my university has Wildfire 5.0. Can I open files done on 5.0 with 4.0? When will 5.0 Student Edition be available?

I've ordered pro e got the conformation email but I dont know where to downlaod the software from?! help me out please I just spent a load of money on this.... also i need to email PTC a copy of my student Id whats the address i need to send this to? Thanks Tom

Hi, Im currently studying engineering at the university of nottingham and im trying to register to use the ProEngineer schools edition. Although i first registered with a standard account, before realising that i needed to register as a student. I changed my account settings to another email address and then was able to create another university account using my university email address, but didnt recieve a confirmation email, and im unable to access the downloads page. Is my email address now locked into that account? Or am i going about this wrong? Thnaks

I got Pro/e 4.0 student version yesterday!i successfully installed the software but i have problems in "changind dimension" . 1)i am trying to double click on the dimension of a line but nothing hapens! 2)i tried to select the "modify dimensions" option and click the line.but "modify dimensions dialog box"does not APPEAR i am using WINDOWS VISA 32BIT!! do i ned to change any setting to fix this problem?? advance thanks!

When i create a cam file in expert machinist everything works fine except with i click on cutting tool manager to add new tools for a sequence. As soon as i click it, Pro E exits out. I have contacted PTC about it and their development team is supposedly working on it. Has anyone had this problem with the student edition?

In lesson 'placing sections into sketcher' Worked my way successfully, lesson Task 1.But I am having a problem in Task 2 'Place a section from the sketcher pallette' When I click 'palette'from the sketcher toolbar the dialog box only displayed 'Placing_Sections. The polygons,profiles,shapes,stars Tabs are missing. Clicked (show),Navigated 'Sketcher palette' detail could not find an explanation on how to set up the missing Tabs. Please are there any lessons that covers sketcher palette - how to add a tab - add a section to palette tab - import a shape from palette and creating .sec files? Thanks for your attention.

Two questions on Mechanica, Student Edition: - In 4.0, when selecting the large deformation option, I know the Multi-Pass Adaptive option isn't available. How do I then evaluate the accuracy/convergence of the results. - I read the 5.0 Student Edition is scheduled for release in March. What new features will Mechanica have? Can it do both contact and large deformation in the same model?

Our team has a bunch of planes that we ran through EFD but we need to know what exactly to put in for the various CFDs (Whats Alpha and My) We know what Fx and Fz are (Force of X and Force of Z) but whats My? If its torque around the Y-axis I don't understand why since it would essentially be lift.

Many of these lessons are broken and load a blank page. I have upgraded Java and Flash and IE all without prevail. What could be some problems that are causing this?

Hello, I am having a problem installing the school version of ProE. I was able to download cd1 and cd 2 just fine but when I go to extract the files, it goes extremely slow (15 bytes/sec or so) and then my windows explorer stops working and restarts, which stops the extraction. I have no idea why I'm having this problem because I have no problems downloading cd1 and 2 from the website. I have windows vista and plenty of space on my computer for this program.. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

A couple teams have discovered an issue where rwdc.exe is not sorting airfoil coordinates correctly. If you see lines crossing the interior of your airfoil this could be a problem for you. The negative impact would be heavier sections. RWDC was designed to automatically sort points from the trailing edge to the leading edge, around the opposite side back to the trailing edge. The program automatically took care of both concave and convex features in the airfoil. RESOLUTION: Manually sort points (from TE to LE, and back on other side to TE) in your input. It does not matter whether the upper or lower surface is first in the list of points. Download and use the updated version of rwdc.exe (version 1.1). Mark Fischer will be posting the updated version shortly on the Getting Started page. Include a NOSORT parameter on your SECTION input. Input format: SECTION name NOSORT 1.0 0.0 ...

You may learn that this is a problem in your solution when you plot sections in GSView and see a straight line between the leading edge and trailing on one side and the curved edge on the other. Duplicate your input and reverse the sign for the y-values for the second half of the list. This way you will have the whole airfoil represented. Ideally data would be ordered from the Trailing edge around the leading edge and back to the trailing edge on the opposite side.
