With the news last year that PTC was discontinuing support for Web Parts for SharePoint in Windchill 10.2, the ETRAGE integration solution is positioned to fill this void and provide extended functionality for a bi-directional exchange of data between the two systems. By attending this presentation learn the benefits Whirlpool gained by strategically setting up a dedicated PLM testing team. Prior to this, the project team and key business end users were using valuable time for testing and validation for new applications and/or enhancements. By forming a dedicated PLM testing team Whirlpool were able to streamline the regression testing suite and set up a test automation framework. This helped to validate new deployments, enhancements and send PTC patch updates on a regular basis with predictability and in an efficient way. For a company like BAE data security is critical. Security Labels are a critical component to how BAE protects their data from access and mishandling.  In BAE’s line of business the personal and company repercussions of mislabeling or mishandling of data can be severe.  To help ensure users label and handle objects appropriately all security label and agreement information needs to be prominently displayed on the object’s “Details” tab.  Searching, switching tabs is not sufficient.  It needs to be obvious.  A Data Utility Class is perfect for this. PTC Windchill's packages are the heart of iRobot's improved vendor quoting process. The presenter will explain how they were able to redesign the process and drastically change the effort needed from days to hours. The presenter will share the history of the process and the changing needs of the company that led to the undertaking of this project. Within PTC Windchill, the presenter will highlight the different ways to interact with the package feature and achieved the goal iRobot wanted. Their main objective was to remove as much user frustration as possible, and make the process as repeatable as possible so that almost anyone in the company would be able to run it. By giving users a traceable mechanism to transfer data, it became easier to interact with vendors and customers.
