Issue In building VM image of Thingworx Analytics Server:VBoxManage Error

Hi,

I am facing issues when trying to build a  Thingworx Analytics Server VM image. When I run "build-virtualbox.bat " command from the command prompt, the installation begins and almost completes till the point where the VM has to shutdown. At this point I get a VBoxManage Error.

Following is the error snippet:

I am building Analytics Server (Version 52.0.4). I also generated the log file for the packer script and have attached it for reference.

I am stuck and not able to proceed. I would appreciate any help on how to solve this issue.

Thanks And Regards,

Madhumita Deshpande

Hi Madhumita

Your issue is probably the one reported at https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS247611 .

It is always a good idea to search the PTC Technical Support Knowledge Base when faced with errors as a lot of them are already addressed.

Note you should also not be using 52.0.4, the latest version is 52.2

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Christophe

Hi Madhumita

I am glad to hear this.

Note, I mentioned you should rather use 52.2 as this is currently the latest and greatest version.

However should you install it, be sure to make the small modification documented at https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS256240 before starting the installation,  otherwise postgres will not install.

Thanks

Kind regards
