Thingworx 7.4 or Thingworx 8?

The ubuntu version is 16.04.

Can Thingworx 7.4 be installed in ubuntu 16.04?

Or Can Thingworx 8 be installed in ubuntu 16.04?

Or need I go back to ubuntu 14.04?

I have already a Thingworx 7.4 installed in Windows and developed something in it.

Can I migrate the code from windows to ubuntu thingworx? and how?

Thanks!

Hi Tiantian,

All extension downloaded from marketplace need to be import to 8.0 before you migrate the data.

Hi Tiantian,

You can install ThingWorx 8 on Ubuntu 16.04. (Although, the system requirement is 14.04, I installed on 16.04 successfully)

Data between 7.4 and 8.0 can be migrated. It's really sample, just export from 7.4 and import into 8.0.

Any concern, please just let us know.

Ok. Thanks!

The data migration from 7.4 to 8.0 is regardless of OS system, right?

Hi Tiantian,

Yes, you can just export it from the composer and import to another composer.
