PDMLink 9.1 M040 Object Types

We have 9.1 M040 in 2 flavors, installed right OOTB, and migrated from an 8.0 instance. We have noticed that the OOTB 9.1 has several types(Parts Instance and Change Task) that do appear in the migrated 9.1 instance. While working on the migration, we were developing a new type based on the OOTB Parts Instance type, but now are stuck since our true production server will be a migrated 9.1. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks!

Did you also do a point release somewhere in the upgrade process? It sounds like you missed running one one of the required ant scripts when doing a point release.
The ant scripts must be manually ran, and will typically use the data loader to add new object types, preferences, etc...
