Question

Windchill user cannot revise WTDocument

We have a strange issue here. On occasion a user who, in theory, has
rights to revise a WTDocument cannot revise.
A wt.access.NotAuthorizedException is thrown stating the user is not
authorized to perform this action.

The problem is intermittent.

After the problem object is revised by an admin the user can revise the
newly revised version.

Anyone seen this before or have any thoughts on this?

Possibly the object has on old version of the lifecycle in which the user did not have permissions
to revise. When the admin revises the object the new revision gets the new version of the lifecycle
in which the user now has permissions to revise.

Hello ,

Can you try giving CREATE access for the user and check this.

Bcos I assume that the User doen not have create access for the object @ first LC state. And revision forces a creation internally.

Pls let me know your results.

David,

Does the user have Read Permission On The Document's Reference Document ? If Not This could be a bug Fixed in 8.0 133461.
