Hello, how to get alternate part details - Associate Distribution Target.I have set respective attribute value to "yes". Still did not able to get the details in XML exportAny thoughts?

Has anyone worked on getting Creo to output a proper BOM from a cable assembly?  Right now, you get connectors and the harness parts but what about a listing of the wire from the spools?  I think what it should do is list wires from the spools with their lengths along with connectors as each.  Otherwise, there is no point to showing a Part for the harness model. It should be blocked from the Windchill BOM and manually replaced.  I am on Creo 2 so if this is a change with Creo 4, let me know.

When ERP Connector is installed, you can go to Actions -> Send to Distribution Target from a Windchill browser. This action does not appear to be available from the Creo Workgroup manager. Is that a feature that is not available in Creo WGM and must be done from a browser or is there a way to enable "Send to Distribution Target" from Creo? 

How do I change the tile to allow more of the Attribute text to show.

Hi there, I have a problem with a job in "commonScheduleQueue".This Job runs for at least half an hour and fills up the transaction log on my database completely (meanwhile 30GB). The job's details:Target Class:wt.scheduler.StandardSchedulingServiceTarget Method:executeScheduledItemArguments:[object: wt.scheduler.ScheduleItem:13000302, type = class wt.fc.ObjectIdentifier]How Do I identify, what the corresponding issue is?I mean, if "13000302" corresponds to a (e.g.) promotion request, that is already closed, I could simply delete this Job. We have a headache around duplicate and unapproved Creo drawing formats getting checked into Windchill. Any ideas on how to make formats easier to manage? Users like to do a Workspace Save As and it's relatively easy to duplicate the formats. Once checked in, the duplicate formats are a lot of work to remove. Can formats be excepted from the Windchill Save As menu? Can creation of new formats in Windchill be restricted to an set of users? Easy way to replace the duplicate formats in Creo drawings? Other than manually replacing in every drawing. There's a ModelCheck for FORMAT_NAME to create a warning/error if not using an approved format but it doesn't currently allow no format as an option.

I have some familiarity with the odata/rest functionality with my org's WC setup, but am now looking to adapt that to directly download associated visualizations/representations of documents (PDF files) to a folder using the same type of http request - looking at the URLs of the files associated with a given document, I dont see anything explicit on how to reference a specific visualization for a given document number (each visualization seems to have a new object number, not related to the parent docmgmt object number, at least in the console/http request for the file). Is there a http string that will let me download all visualizations for a specific document object? or a set of search parameters in the 'DocMgmt' domain? or is it in the 'Visualization' domain? Downloading the files individually from WC, the links show up in my console as 'WindchillGWAUTH' domain, which seems separate from odata entirely, is there any way to reference these from the odata/rest side? When I check a version into Windchill, is there a way to describe which changes I made or to put in a note where I can write what I changed compared to the previous version?

Is there a possibility to set the list of routing options of a task depending on a variable when starting a task? I only found the "tally" method to set up events automatically but that does not seem to help in my use-case.   Use-Case: Skip a routing option when a process/task variable has a specific value.   Pre-Condition / dependend variable:                 boolean ir_autocreated;   Routing in Task: A B C X   For Routing „X“ there shall be valid: IF ir_autocreated == true THEN Routing Option “X” shall be "invisible" / not selectable in the task   Thank You in advance Harald

A few years ago our company did not use the WT part function in Windchill.Today we want to use WT parts for everything. How do I create a WT part alone and then associated with the part we created a few years ago?

I would like to create a WTPartReferenceLink between a part I have created in '/Windchill/servlet/odata/ProdMgmt/Parts' and a document I have created in '/Windchill/servlet/odata/DocMgmt/Documents'.However, When I POST '/Windchill/servlet/odata/ProdMgmt/Parts('OR:wt.part.WTPart:###')/References', I receive a 501, OPERATION_NOT_SUPPORTED.How can I create this reference link using the REST API? I was unable to find the instructions in the 'Windchill REST Services User’s Guide'.   Thanks!

Is anyone using Windchill as a BOM resolver for all customer orders? Would like to get some insights.Our product structure is a fully configurable overloaded platform. We use O&C, assigning Usage expression to the bom elements (solutions) and .set up configuration rules.The issue is that this is manually converted/copied to our erp system and Sales configurator systems that currently resolve the BOM.Looking for insights / Best practice on integrations to erp and sales configurator.

Hello, I have a question regarding Windchill dropdowns. So by default, when clicking an action in a dropdown the dropdown closes automatically like the one shown in the image.What I need is a way to keep it opened so the user can click multiple entries without having to open the dropdown several times. The customize button you can find on the Windchill homepage does exacly that. The dropdown does not close after clicking an entry. This way you can easily select multiple checkboxes at a time. Is there a way to prevent the dropdown model from closing or is this Windchill specific and can not be customized. Best regards

I have found that users can reassign tasks that are not their own to any user that they want.  How does one stop this?  Only an admin should be able to do this type of thing.

How to create/upload representation through API?

I am planning for a windchill upgrade from 11.0 to 12.1 on the same server. I have gone through the Upgrade Guide but it is little confusing. My Question is: Should I do the Import and export of LDAP and Database for this in-place upgrade also ORI would just follow the same steps to install 12.1 on the same server as I did for 11.0?( such as LDAP connection and Database user?) and run the upgrade Manager.After Running the upgrade Manager, Will I see both versions available on my server C drive --ptc folder?OR it would just overwrites on older version?

I have a requirement to report out a whole mess of classification attributes for all levels of Parts Link classifications for a BOM (custom table views). According to this article, CS72284 , the answer seems to be that its not possible. Or is it?  I have transitioned away from using soft-types to use PartsLink. As a result, all my previously soft-typed parts are now WTParts (normal Parts) and the previous soft-types are disabled from instantiation.  Since I am using the same attributes as I was before in PartsLink as I did with soft-types, everything transitioned over perfectly.  I also noticed or thought that the classification attributes were showing up in custom table views: Well, not quite. What I was seeing was the attributes for the soft-type Parts that I am no longer using. When I added new attributes specific for PartsLink only, they did not show up, see previous CS article and pound sand.   Not to be deterred, I wondered if I also added the

Hello, I have a general question about the Windchill documentation.So there are a lot of listeners available to use in JSPs for customization like "wizardLoadComplete" or "afterLoadAttribueTable" etc. but is there a documentation of all listeners? I need a specific listener but how am I supposed to find it without a list of all available listener?I was not able to find anything about those events, maybe someone can help me or has the same problem. Best regards
