What output format Windchill ESI can generate? like Web service or XML file. 2. Sample mBOM, Process Plan & Operations output files. 3. HI,    I have SAP BAPI and I want to use them in Java Code. Only requirement is to use those BAPI. I have a Linux system. Can someone please guide me how to use sapjco API's , Where should I deploy these jar files in Windchill environment?  I think there is no need of SAP Adaptor configuration.

Hi All,I have created custom action "New MCN" on change Request action and this is pointing to OOTB "New Change Notice" Wizard step.My requirement is when a user selects "New Change Notice" action, In the wizard step Type dropdown should display only subtypes prefixed with "ECN" and when user selects "New MCN" , Type dropdown should display only subtypes prefixd with "MCN".

We are in the process of installing (for the first time at our company) Windchill 11.0 (M030). We currently use Inventor 2017.  For Windchill we will be using Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 M030. So far the only issue we have encountered is a font display problem in GDT frames and diameter symbols in dimensions. This Our VAR told us to use the help center font solution for AutoCAD files. That did not solve our Inventor problem.  AutoCAD 2D files view correctly.In image 1.png, red circled letter is supposed to be a Profile of a Surface symbol.  The yellow highlighted letters are supposed to be Diameter symbols..

Hello,   I want to know the use of EPMVariantLink and in which scenario should we use it ? In my team they are using the below API to fetch the EPMDocument and then fetching the EPMDocumentMaster. I am wanting to delete non-latest iterations of assembly123.asm because there is an accidental revision of part123.prt that was stored in the non-latest iterations of assembly123.asm. The error message that I get says:   Attention: A referential integrity violation occurred for this operation: Cannot delete master "assembly123.asm -.11" because it is referenced by the following versions: assembly123.asm -.13   Does anyone know why a later version would be dependent on an earlier version of a Creo 5 assembly? I don't know how this link was created or how to break it.   Thanks in advance for your input.

Hello, we use Windchill as the back end product of xml in Arbortext Editor. We've been told that Windchill is the best way to manage and use content that is reused in multiple documents. Does anyone have experience doing this or does anyone have instructions? Thanks!

I am trying to work backward from creating a new workflow for promotion requests... I want to make an additional lifecycle to select from.  I need to edit the OIR to allow a drop down for lifecycle selection. But... I just noticed that at the organization level.. I have both the site-OOTB and the slightly modified organization level OIR in the list.  My question is... how does windchill pick which OIR to use?   Thanks for any insight!

Hey there.  We've been using Windchill 11.0 to build reliability prediction models using the component failure data libraries.  But we get more use out of the FTA module in order to work out boolean logic of various failures.  The basic events of the fault trees have properties that need to be manually entered, like failure rate/probability, etc. But, is there a way to assign/link component data from the prediction library to events in the FTA?  It seems like the Prediction library is isolated from the FTA module, meaning a lot of copy/paste.

Hello, We would like to discuss the risks of exporting data from PDMLINK.   When viewing data through Creo View, CreoView files are created in the temporary directory.If someone maliciously exports a CreoView file to the outside world, the data can be opened with Creo View.   This appears to be a potential risk to data security. Is there a way to auto exclude parts from a certain context from being collected in the promotion process?  I don't want library items showing up in the collector.   Thanks,   Mike

We use both Creo and Solidworks and we would like to upload Solidworks Assemblies to Windchill.  Has anyone used the PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager to upload and check-in Solidworks assemblies that include non-Solidworks parts such as NX or Creo?  Outside the PDM system, Solidworks 2017 will open native NX and Creo files but so far we have been unable to upload these to a Winchill workspace.  It appears that the 10.2 Workgroup Manager only allows for Solidworks parts and assemblies files to be opened.  Has this changed in 11.0?

Can I add a column to my workspace, so that before check in I can see the added parameters.

Hi All, I have been working on a requirement on Change Notice. As a part of that, I have included a new wizard (Refer the image. Step 3 - Change Items) in Create page of ChangeTask. When a user creates ChangeTask, the resulting objects (present in step 2) of this ChangeTask should be automatically pulled into the ChangeItems wizard. I was able to get the list of Resulting objects by using a custom validator (using API uivalidationcriteria.getAddedItemsByName("changeTask_resultingItems_table"). But i'm stuck at a point on how to include this list of objects to the custom wizard. Any suggestions would be really helpful.     Thanks, Amrutha Bomma.
