Finding Answers and Getting HelpI suspect that most of you are already fairly adept at finding information on this site. I've put together a brief road map for those of you who are having difficulty finding information. I have also explicitly exposed links to pages to make bookmarking and/or copying them easier.Finding Reference DocumentsIf you know exactly which reference document you are looking for (e.g. The Integrity 10.2 Server Performance Tuning Guide), go to the Integrity Support Portal <http://www.ptc.com/support/integrity.htm>, and click on the 'Reference Documents' link, located on the right column, under 'Related Resources'. After logging in, that link leads to this page <https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/doc/refdoc.jsp>.Apply the filters as appropriate (e.g. Product: Integrity; Reported Release: Integrity 10.2, etc.). As always, if you are unsure of something, it is likely better to leave a filter unset (e.g. User Role: All User Roles). Un
Having upgraded from 10.4 to 10.9, I'm asked if we can use the new "Custom Fields" (see 10.9 User Doc chapter 8).At first glance, they sound like what we need: project-based custom fields defined and managed by non-admins.However, as I look more into details, this is what I find:Custom fields cannot be used in queries, or filters, or trigger rules. They display as tables (similar to relationships), which makes them difficult to use in reports.I suspect they cannot be used in document import/export via Gateway. So I have to ask: is anyone using Integrity Custom Fields, and if so, how?
Hello community,I actually have this piece of code as a toolbar script (SysML-Profile used):Option ExplicitFunction ValidInsertionPoint() ValidInsertionPoint=TrueEnd FunctionFunction SelectObject() SelectObject=False Script.AddResultObject SysML::BlockProperty msgbox NewSymbol SelectObject=TrueEnd FunctionFunction OnFinished() dim NewClass set NewClass = NewSymbol.Item("Dict Item") dim NewClass1 set NewClass1 = NewClass.Item("Class") msgbox NewClass1 call NewClass.Add("Stereotype", mBlockProperty) call NewClass1.Add("Stereotype",mBlock) msgbox NewSymbol OnFinished=TrueEnd FunctionWith that I've got 2 problems:The created item is of type "Role", not of Type "BlockProperty". How can I change this? The stereotype is assigne
Our auditors are interested in separation of duties. Both of the senior people in our shop can promote to production, but they would like to enforce a restriction that no developer could promote their own changes to production. In other words, can we force Developer 1 to promote Developer 2's work, and vice versa? We are currently on Implementer 10.2, but would upgrade if this is available in the current version.
It would be an asset if we had the ability to see the properties files history of changes in a log or like other changes made with in Integrity Types. The history would include the properties name, before and after values, date time stamp and user id that made the change(s)Such as the properties.is properties file.
Note: Frequently Asked Questions about Integrity Performance Advisor (IPA) will be updated and added to in the following knowledgebase article What is Integrity Performance Advisor (IPA)? Integrity Performance Advisor is a ThingWorx powered dashboard connected to your instance(s) of Integrity Server for performance monitoring purposes The Performance Advisor provides proactive insight into the performance of Integrity Server, offering tuning recommendations to keep Integrity running healthy What data does the Performance Advisor display? The Performance Advisor currently has 6 Gadgets Server Status Server Alerts Server Information Server Hotfixes Performance Metrics Scalability Metrics For complete details on each Gadget and how to use them, please see the PDF file included in the Performance Advisor download (location provided below under 'Where can I download IPA?') starting on page 19 How do I access the Performance Advisor once I've installed the Agent? Hi @all,now it comes (again) to light that i'm not a programmer or coder...I want to fill a relationship-field with some entries via setRelationShipFieldValue. I have some issue-id's as a comma-seperated list (stringlist). What i've tried is to write a trigger-script like this:var delta = bsf.lookupBean("imIssueDeltaBean");[...]var arr = new Array();arr = stringlist.split(",");delta.setRelationshipFieldValue(TargetField, arr); What i get is this:JavaScript Error: The choice of Java method mks.ci.server.engine.LocalTriggerManager$ScriptIssueDeltaBean.setRelationshipFieldValue matching JavaScript argument types (java.lang.String,object) is ambiguous; candidate methods are: void setRelationshipFieldValue(java.lang.String,int[]), void setRelationshipFieldValue(java.lang.String,java.lang.Object[])How can i avoid this errormessage or how can i choose the right java-method from inside the triggerscript? Thanks for any hint...cheers, Jens
I am guessing that it is not possible but....I have a trigger and would like to have more than one file/script. The parameters tab becomes disabled. Is there a way to have different parameters for different scripts for a trigger? See attached.
A co-worker of mine has run into the following issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Integrity 10, Windows 7ThanksMelI have a project with a main branch and a variant branch. Subsequent to the branch taking place, new files were added to the main branch that now need to be added to the variant branch. When I View Project Differences the new files are indicated as dropped members in the variant branch. The procedure I followed to try to add the new files is:1 – I physically copied the files to the appropriate location in the variant branch sandbox2 – I selected Add Members on the variant sandbox3 – I selected Add File4 – I browsed to the file to be added in the variant sandbox and selected it5 – I clicked finish on the Add Members Wizard6 – I clicked OK to create archive7 – I selected share archive – this is the one I need because these are the same files that must exist in both the main and variant branches.8 – When I click OK I get the following error mes

Hi @all,we have a weird problem right now: If we install a new integrity client at a new windows machine, we're using a command:mksclient.exe -f mksclient.propertiesThe file mksclient.properties is holding some settings, which normally should be asked in a dialog window. These settings are the servernames and ports and so on. We're using this way as long as i can remember, maybe starting with MKS 2006. As i understand the installation procedure, the setup routine is filling the IntegrityClientSite.rc in the program-directory, so if the user starts the client for the first time, these settings are already set. Now we have the problem, that all of these settings are set in the file IntegrityClient.Site.rc, but in the client the port-settings (and only the port-settings) are empty. I dont have any idea why this is the case. The part of the config file looks like this:# The server (and its port) to which Integrity Clients# connect by default.ci.server.hostname;ask=neverci.server.hostname=&l
We have got a set of fields which are populated to default values based on values in a different field, this has been done via a trigger. Because we have used a trigger the population only happens when clicking ok, is it possible to get the fields to populate as soon as the default value is set?
I wanted to do a simple search in one of our documents, exactly searching for a word like 'permanent'.Using many 'search fields' (Show items containing, CTRL+F, etc) I could find the object that contain the given keyword, but none of them highlights where the keyword occurs, which is a bit akward since a simple notepad++ can do that (highlighting all the occurences),and since we have pages of long texts in some of our objects (with tables inside) now I have to export our documents to a docx format and do the search there.Am I missusing the tool offered menus or is it really not managable to pinpoint me to the found keyword?
One side effect of the Check In Command beeing configured to save working file timestampis that the check in date will not be seen in the member history but the working file timestamp. This can falsify the picture of the development process as the timestamps in member historiesdo not necessaryly reflect the time a revisions was checked in resp. available for other users, but when it was saved. The only reliable information of a time range can then be gained if the revision number is between 2 checkpoints. Is it possible to find out the check in date of a specific member revisionindependent of which setting of "Save Working File Timestamp" was active at checkin time?(Maybe the transaction time is also stored in the Integrity database)Jürgen
how to find the trigger which send email for perticular workflow? Is it possible to extract the all trigger for review the parameter setup? We have thousand of trigger defined and really difficult to identify particular trigger.I wanted to stop notification for specific users from the group.
I am looking for a way via webservice to get the History of an item. This information normally is displayed in the "History" tab of an item (on the PTC client).
Any thoughts on what is causing this error::MKS124804: Internal Error detected: Error Was: mks.frame.app.model.ReadOnlySettingException:MKS124811:INTERNAL ERROR: Attempt to set read only setting: lockType: Locked by the serverTHANKS...!
When there is any planned outage activity on the application and if we stop the application services the users may experience "Internet Explorer cannot display webpage" error. In this regard, is there a way to direct the server requests during the above scenario to a webpage which displays a standard message that the "website is under maintenance".
Usually for maintenance activities on the application/DB which needs an outage, we communicate to our userbase up ahead, so that will be aware of the outage. And for this notification we use a DL which will have all the users emails who are currently active in Integrity(users may unsubscribe if needed). But there may be some issues in sending the email to such DL. For example, if we place the DL in Cc and by mistake if any user sends an email by Reply All, that email may be sent to all the users and may result in email explosion. So is there a way by which we may communicate upcoming planned outages/activities to users who have logged into Integrity. I am aware that we have following CLI command for the purpose: "integrity setserveralert" But this doesn't seems to be supporting "mailto:" links/URL's and UI doesn't seem to be effective. I would like to know if there is any way, we could provide the support for links and also I would like to know if there would be

I have a kind of matrix in a presentation that will show a lot of numbers. I would like to "tag" these numbers (= Field values) with the appropriate tooltip coming from their field description. I only managed to get the tooltip for the unspecific Field name on the left (with the possibility to overwrite the Field name with another name) but not for their values themselves. How can I manage that the tooltip comes up when the mouse is over the value marked on the right?
