The links where available a few weeks ago, and now I noticed the links are no longer working. I think the last posting to this magazine was back in 2007.So what has become of the e-Profiles Magazine? Is it another casualty of the western economy?

Here's what I found in both WF3 & WF4.  The best solution was Olaf's mapkey:     mapkey mm #modify;#valueThis brings up the old 'Modify' menu and you can single click on eachparameter to change them.  Perfect.

Question,Can you store the light location in the color scheme you load by default? I don't see any options for it in the .scl file.If you look at the Pre-Wildfire color scheme. The position of the Default Distant light is different than in the Wildfire color scheme. The Wildfire color scheme has the light higher and farther to the right. How do you thread parts like the inside of a nut or the outside of a screw?

One of my users has started getting an nmsd.exe error when starting ProE. "The application failed to initialze properly (0xc00000006). Click on OK to terminate the application." I believe it is possible to install ProE using the downloaded .zip files without cutting to a set of CDs, but how do you point it at the 2nd, 3rd, etc disks when it expects a CD change?Thanks in advance,Chris GlenisterThermo Fisher Scientific UK

I am trying to use an Autocad file in sketcher.The Acad file has mothing in it except lines.When I am in sketcher I SKETCH/DATA FROM FILE/FILE SYSTEM then navigate to the folder where the acad file is located.I keep getting a "INVALID DWG FILE" error from sketcher.What am I doing wrong?Wildfire 4.0 M100

The documentation for upgrading from 8.0 to 9.1 gives three options for upgrading the existing viewables. It clearly states that the .edz files are migrated to a new format (.pvs). However, what the documentation does not say is if during the migration the files are published. When I migrate this data, does my queue get backed up does the utility migrate and publish at the same time?

Are you having the same headaches with check-ins, family tables, corrupt workspaces, cache conflicts and server disconnects? Seems PTC once again is releasing unstable software, reminds me of 2000i days. wfm230 pdm040Steve

Trying to enclose some text notes with the rounded box that is used for inspection dimensions. Is there a way to create this much like creating gtol boxes using text characters? Thanks, for any info!!

We are considering purchasing some libraries from Virtual-Interconnect. Are there any US companies that have gone this road and willing to share experience with the group?

I want to add my retract value to the begining of my sub routines. I am using "G98" and want the sub to set to the retract value before it starts the cycle. I have tried hard coding it and it works but I want to automate it so when I drill angle holes it will go to the correct retract.

Anyone suggest a decent textbook? I've got the Toogood books which are great but only really cover the basics. Anyone got a copy of this one - www.proe4d.co.uk - any good?

I am looking to get some hands on practice with Pro/E and some practical advice Pro/E users market in DFW. I last used Pro/E a few years ago (WF1.0) and have tried out the free trial version and gone through the basic tutorials, but they are bit lacking in depth. If any independent designer or small company has some seat time they can spare and maybe a little time train, I would really appreciate the opportunity to use it. Thanks

Good morning,In the Process manager is there a way to pick holes by diameter? The onlyoptions I have are by selecting each individual hole. I see that I cangather but the options are patterns or drill group. Now I use the xmltemplate and if I need to add an extra hole diameter I need to go back tothe old way. Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. I accidentally changed IP Address trying to sort out internet connection errors and completely forgot about the implicantions it would have with Pro/E. Now the msg invaild host comes up on screen and i really need to get this problem fix as fast as I can as i have a project due at the end of the week. I would be very greatful if someone could help me with my problem as i dont know what to do.
