All,I am looking for the best LASER MOUSE for Wildfire 3.0. The laser mice(?) that I have seen so far have no detents on the scroll wheel. This makes it difficult to ACCEPT (i.e. MMB) with the scroll button without inadvertently zooming in/out.Can somebody suggest a laser mouse with detents on the scroll wheel. I do not care whether or not the mouse has programmable buttons.I accidentally posted this in the ADMIN Forum. Sorry. Can I get any help for splitting Cylindrical Face on a rod 3D model in Pro-E?I'm going to split the Cylindrical Face becoming two sections along axial of the rod.In this wayI canapply load on one of the faces to do FEA analysis.ThanksHoward

We're getting WF4 ready to go here and I'm trying to understand what build to get.  With eh Update Advisor still offline (when's that coming back anyway?), I'm looking for help from you folks.I have F000 installed and see that M040 is available.  When did M040 come out?  When is M050 scheduled to arrive?  Any fixes coming in M050 that we should wait for?Thanks,Doug Schaefer

Thanks to those who pointed me to the Product Calendar [1], I hadforgotten about it. No news on what M050 is bringing, but it's not toship until mid October. I don't like to jump on a new build until it'sbeen 'seasoned' for a couple of weeks, and I don't' want to wait thatlong to get up and running, so I'll stick with M040. Hi everybody, I am trying to make database connection in pro/e environment through java(synchronous application). I am getting exception as class not found (com.mysql.jdbc.Driver). But the same code is executed in java environment with out any problem. So i want to know how to make JDBC connection and retrieve the values from data base in pro/e. I would be glad to recieve the replies for this problem. I am using pro/e wildfire 2.0, and Netbeans IDE 5.0,Mysql database. thanks in advance.

I have a user that wants to open a large model using a simplified rep(nothing in the rep will be in session) while showing some parameterinformation in the model tree. I am thinking the only way possible is tohave them create a rep and include all the components as symbolic reps. Cananyone confirm or dispute this? Thanks, Stephen Worthington

We recently upgraded our server and are having issues with play path not working for holemaking cycles when working on network drives. After some time pro/e returns an error: cannot open file "cycle.ncl" check write permissions. Of course the write permissions seem correct, user has "full access". This error does not come up when working off a local drive. If you give pro/e 20 minutes its does seem to eventually work.Wildfire 4.0 m030, running windows server 2003 r2

Hallo zusammen.... Etwa im Mai 2007 habe ich die PE geladen - als begeisterter Anwender der Vollversion bei einem meiner früheren Auftraggeber eine Selbstverständlichkeit! Wer mal mit z.B. SolidWorks oder ähnlichen parametrischen Dinosauriern das ""Vergnügen"" hatte, weiß wovon ich rede.... Meine Frage: offenkundig gibt es längst die PE als Version 2 - wo liegen die Unterschiede und ist ein ""Update"" bzw. ein Tausch möglich??? Gruß amb

Sounds like you are using a search.pro that is looking in the folderwith the old files. Try moving the old files to a backup folder. Hope this helps,Arnold
