Are you using MVision for proe materials and other mil-specs? What is your experience with it? I am just trying to collect allpros/cons before getting into it.

I have a multi line note with a leader. By default, the leader is attachedto the first line. If I want the leader attached to a different line, I knowI can enter some text in front of the line I want it attached to . but I cannot remember what that special character/text is !? Pros: I have a number of users complaining that when they are editing text ina properties dialog the cursor does not maintain its alignment with thetext in the dialog box as they use their arrow keys. As a result theyare often deleting or changing the wrong text in the dialog box. Initially the cursor seems to be aligned properly, but as you move thecursor character to character, it begins to encroach on the letters andwill appear right on top of a character. I have seen this in the past,but nothing I tried at the time seemed to help. I have a user that is looking to create a layer, and assign solidgeometry to it, so they can turn it off and on. I'm currently on 2001and can do this with out any problem. It would appear that the drill groupretains no sense of pick order, so that no matter which way around Ichoose the holes to make the group, the drilling sequence always drillsthem in the same, different to how I would like, order.Is this indeed the case? Now instead of the box where you can switch fromDistance to Length or Diameter you have to go back up thru Analysis>Measure>and then reselect what you are doing. Rendering Gurus, I have been beating my head against the wall attempting to get rid of avertical shadow line in an image that I am rendering using Photoluxrendering engine. I have tried moving lights, adding lights, removinglights, but it seems that no matter what I do, the shadow line remains. Theonly thing I can definitively say is that if I rotate the model a little bitprior to rendering, the shadow line moves a bit to the left or right in therendered image. Has anyone out there come across this and have a solutionfor me? It may be difficult to see in the attached image(which I hope showsup in this message), but hopefully you can understand what I am talkingabout regarding the shadow line. Pro/Users,I got the feed back I have always received with this issue. People on bothsides of the camp and some in the middle. I was curious to see if PTC wasteaching one method being better than the other. I fully understand theadvantages and problems with both.Honestly, Internal Sketches have more advantages than problems whencompared to external. This is my opinion and I am sticking to it. Thereis a place for External Sketches but the reasons to use it are fewer.I will now post the replies from the community and remove the names toprotect the innocent. Thanks for your replies. We're currently playing around with adobe 3-D for passing model data to clients. It works "ok" compared to edrawings but the cost is significant at around $900. This could be justified if we could get it to work properly with FEMAP. Anyone out there have any luck getting it to work?Thanks,--

Okay, bad choice of words, but lingo or terminology is exactly the point of this message. After hours pouring over the Help files, Verification models, etc., I'm no closer to being comfortable with the Dynamic Analysis (Structure) interface. This seems like a simple problem:A large structure (vibratory conveyor) is vibrating due to an eccentric driver mounted on a motor (these things are fairly common on vibratory feeders). I am going to be bolting my device to the structure and want to check out the response...look for weaknesses.Speed: 900 RPM so Frequency is 15 HzAmplitude: +/-.125" at 15 degrees from verticalThis seems like a Base Excitation loading, but the UI baffles me. It may be that there is more than one way to skin this cat, but if you know of one I'd love to hear about it. I'd like to be able to run the 15 Hz against several iterations to determine response, as well as graph the system response to speeds ranging from 10 to 20 Hz.Thanks,Gavin B.
