I am creating a symbol (text only) with variable text. Q1. If my variable text has more than one line how do I get the symbol to accept the second line? I tried a backslash thinking that meant continue but that did not work. Q2. If my first variable text note has two lines and my second selection for the first note only has one line how do I not end up with the second line of the first variable note? Wildfire 2.0 m170.

For companies with multiple printers to choose from, what is thepreferred practice? - multiple pcf files with plotter_command defined for each printer - 1 pcf file that uses MS_PRINT_MGR to allow user to choose the desiredprinterIf your answer was multiple pcf files, how do you manage who gets whichones (since users will only want to see the ones that they use)? I knowit adds a click for the users to select a printer if you go theMS_PRINT_MGR route (and I think that is the only disadvantage), but thatsure seems like the simplest way to go.Thanks,AB

Hi,I am seeking information on Suggested technique for sharing materialinformation between Pro/E and Mechanica. We do not have commonly sharedmaterial files, but would like to set this up for Pro and Mechanica.Unfortunately it appears as though the material libraries are managedseparately from each other. What do you suggest?Regards,Andrew AmsdenCAD/PDM AdminMidmark Corp.***** NOTICE *****If you are not the intended recipient of this email, you are notified that disclosing, copying, distributing, or taking any action in reliance on the contents of this email and any files transmitted with it is strictly prohibited. Hey Gang,Maybe I'm phrasing this incorrectly, and maybe it's been brought uppreviously...How can I create a "include rep" in WF2 where the only parts that are inthe rep are the parts I select?ThanksMike
Hello Guru's,Just wanted to point something out. It could be coincidence or maybesomething for me to think about from now on. I expressed my opinion on aparticular subject that was going around. That subject is not important atthis time.I received an email from the Lyris server to confirm deactivation from thelist. I never requested to be taken off the list. I wonder why I wassent the email? I enjoy the exploder and all the power behind it. Iappreciate the people behind the scenes who provide the support for this tobe available to us all. The one thing I enjoy the most is the ability toshare view points with my fellow Pro/E users as long as it's professionallydone.I hope that we are not going to be kicked off the list for expressing ourview points. This may not be the case but I just wanted to share thiswith all of you. It's amazing how I was sent this notification aftermaking an honest statement.Maybe it's just coincidence and we can leave it at that.Be careful of what you say.DamiÃ&#
Does anyone know of a demo option that would allow large deformation analysis of a 3D model containing shells? I could use 2001 or WF2.Thanks.
In Germany, they sell both. What's the deal with Rand and PTC? I think I remember having them a falling out a little while back.Does that mean Rand no longer sells ProE?I just received a demo disk comparing Inventor vs. ProE and it was comical in how cumbersome it made ProE appear. The disk was developed by Rand so I have to assume they no longer sell ProE.I was practically falling out of my chair laughing. It was pretty good!
Is there an environmental variable I need to set to retain the mnf when importing a UG file into Mechanica linked mode ? The default setting deletes it upon successful importation. Thanks
Just as Brian Adkins has mentioned I'm currently running a 9860 Sager hookedup to 23" Apple Cinema display. I'm using the Doctor Bots converter to hookinto the video DVI port. Works very nicely with pro/e and at the time was cheapest flat screen LCD Icould find to run pro/e on. Just my 2 cents. -Paul Elhardt _____
