What's the deal with Rand and PTC? I think I remember having them a falling out a little while back.Does that mean Rand no longer sells ProE?I just received a demo disk comparing Inventor vs. ProE and it was comical in how cumbersome it made ProE appear. The disk was developed by Rand so I have to assume they no longer sell ProE.I was practically falling out of my chair laughing. It was pretty good!
Is there an environmental variable I need to set to retain the mnf when importing a UG file into Mechanica linked mode ? The default setting deletes it upon successful importation. Thanks
Just as Brian Adkins has mentioned I'm currently running a 9860 Sager hookedup to 23" Apple Cinema display. I'm using the Doctor Bots converter to hookinto the video DVI port. Works very nicely with pro/e and at the time was cheapest flat screen LCD Icould find to run pro/e on. Just my 2 cents. -Paul Elhardt _____
Can one of you experts tell me what it means when my dimensions start turning an odd color blue when I move them? They then disappear until I update my view.Dan SchurrCAD FacilitatorEATON Corporation13100 E. Michigan Ave.Galesburg, MI 49053tel: 269-342-3236fax: 269-746-6236-

Hello All,First, let me say thanks to all of you who responded with my question for plotting formats. All of your suggestions helped me with a 'temp' solution. not the best means but it works for now. Another question, I have a company log in PNG format. Does ProE accept this easily or should it be something more recognizable like a JPEG or DXF or ??Thanks,
Does anyone know where I can find default library parts that alledgely come with ProE (Wildfire dos)?I'm preparing for a ProE vs. Inventor comparison and Inventor has a very easy to access database of typical parts (bolts, pins, c clips, etc.).To be very open here, I'm a little nervous because Inventor has some simple capabilities that appear to be much easier to use than ProE.I don't want to lose this comparison to Inventor but it appears to me to be a much simpler interface in a lot of areas.Thanks.Paul
To all This may be a long shot but would anybody have a model (simple orcomplex) of a Krupp Hazemag APP 1010 Impact Crusher? It would save me alot of time modelling if somebody had one. Thanks in advance. Regards, Neal Hanratty
Has anyone seen a beta of the Inertia relief solution in WF 3?Will inertia relief apply the appropriate accelerations at the center of mass in order to balance the applied loads? If so, will these accelerations vary as the center of mass (and inertia properties) vary? That is, will an optimization study be able to use inertia relief analyses? Thanks.Joe
I'm curious if anyone would be willing to share tips for image creation(such as for Power Point presentations). I currently set my model shadingquality to 10, shade small surfaces, change my background to white, and usethe TIFF (snapshot) save option to capture the screen. Later I convert toJPEG to reduce the file size. Anyone have a better way? This method works fine for me but I'm curious ifthere is a better way. Our standard here requires us to put "hole" or "holes" as a postscriptin our diameter dimensions. Does anyone know how to do this using amapkey/macro. If you could point me in the right direction I wouldappreciate it.Donald
How about we make our own... We could do this: Everyone sends me jpeg's of cool models that you'vecreated. I'll create a document with all of the renderings and send it backout to the exploder. We can then vote for the best 12... Feel free to tweak your renderings with Photoshop... or to add effects aswell. My email address is kevina@cornelius.com _____
I want a ProE WF2 Calandar that has some cool models on it... anyone know where I can get one? Thanks!
