Does anyone know if PTC offers a G code editor like Predator Editor? I'mpretty sure they don't but I just wanted to ask first. PTC should reallyoffer something like Predator or Sedit. We have some parts that have the bend lines going through a cutout. Whenwe transfer the IGES wireframe of the to Optimation, the bend lineconfuses the nesting program. If we try to delete the bend lines inOptimation, more than the bend lines gets deleted.Has anyone else had these problems with Pro/E files going into a nestingsystem?

Hi AllApologies if you get this multiple times, I'm posting to more than onegroup.I have a bit of a survey type question for you all. I have a seat of Pro/EFoundation - not Foundation Advantage - and previously my maintenance hasbeen $2,250 AUS. Maintenance for Foundation Advantage has been $2,820 AUS.This year I am being told that my maintenance will be the same as FoundationAdvantage, I am being told by my reseller that to get Foundation Advantagefunctionality I will need to pay $3,800 AUS for the upgrade.I would like to know if others have noticed the same with their maintenance?And if the extra functionality does come at a price? (I expect that itdoes).PTC if you're bothering to listen - this absolutely stinks, but I guess weshould all be used to that by now. Looks like that I may be renewing mySolidWorks maintenance rather than my Pro/E maintenance this year, despitethe fact I hate S/Works, I'm tired of being expected to swallow PTC bitterlittle pills on a regular basis.KellieKwo-

Good afternoon:I'm in sketcher, trying to trim a line and an arc. I pick the trim icon, andthe command line says, "Select two entities to trim." I pick the arc, and itsays, "Showing section entity of type ARC." I then pick the line, and itsays, "Section could not be solved. Please refer to additional messages."But, there are no additional messages. Is there some magic button I shouldbe clicking to find out why it doesn't like my selections??Wildfire I, M160

hey did you pay enough? you need at least ten gazillion bucs to getstarted in learning their software.I got an idea for them.. church. PTC think of your business as church. Get us in for free! then at the end of the day ask us for money. give usa period of sunday school so we get all messed up in the head and actuallybuy the software and use it.. thus weaving it into the the very base ofour product. Then when we try to move to other software it will beimpossible. And your numbers of users will grow huge.just watchout for sellsmen who abuse the people in sunday school. 🙂

Does anyone know how to create a "wavy" spring that has a helicaltrajectory? Smalley Corp. makes a spring that utilizes this geometry (forreference). Any help would be appreciated.
