Our requirement is to generate STEP 242 files containing persistent UUIDs for Digital Thread implementation. We have the following questions: How can we create Creo CAD models with persistent UUIDs? Are there any specific settings or configurations required in Creo? How can we export Creo models to STEP 242 while preserving all UUIDs? Which STEP AP242 version is recommended for UUID support? For existing Creo CAD models, is there any way to add or generate persistent UUIDs without recreating the models? Is there any recommended method to verify that UUIDs are properly written into the STEP file? We already have many Creo CAD models, and our final goal is to assign UUIDs to them and generate STEP files that retain those UUIDs correctly. Issue summary: Limited flexibility in Codebeamer export templates requiring multiple templates for different field combinations Currently in Codebeamer, exporting data requires predefined templates with fixed field selections. Each export template is static and does not allow users to dynamically select or deselect fields at the time of export.This creates a limitation where users must create and maintain multiple templates based on varying reporting needs. For example:In some cases, users need Domain + other fields In other cases, only specific selected fields are required Different stakeholders request different combinations of fieldsAs a result, for each variation, a separate export template must be created and maintained, leading to duplication, increased maintenance effort, and reduced usability. Current Workaround / ResolutionMultiple export templates are created for different use cases Users select the closest matching template for their need Additional manual effort is required

I am using Windchill Bulk Migrator Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.0.2 Hello Team, I have configured the WBM Extractor in Source system ( MED-61102-CD-131_13-1-3-0_WBM13.1-WC13.0-Extraction) for windchill 13.0.2.1 Bulk Migrator . While running the filter extraction for an specific container. getting the below exception which I will mention in Error messages window. I am using Windchill Part slink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.0 While promoting the top level assembly, the child parts are not getting promoted.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.16 We are currently looking for possiblities to use AD groups for License profiles, but when we add/remove users from AD, users are not able to access windchill though we can see windchill License profile udner user information. Only after participant cache clear, user is able to login to widchill, is this behaviour correct or we are misisng something. is purge participent cache necessary while using ad groups for license?

Hello,Issue summary: Long running export jobs not able to kill from UI as a System administratorIssue Details:Do export TCs with steps from project level without any filter Depends on CB memory performance, export job will be running for more than 24hrs which is not normal and this affect other user export activity as well. Next users need to wait for the export file to get downloaded as previous job is not completed.Current Resolution: We need to run query to kill the job with help of IS/IT teamSuggestion: As a system administrator, if job running for long time need an easy option in UI itself to kill the job.And it would be better to give priority for the queued job

Hello, Issue summary: In current CB v2.2.x, CB exporting the content as it is in Markup type. But in UI is clean to see the content without any markup contents Issue Details:Create or Import an item with description as Wiki with some links or bold or italic or strikethough etc, and save it Now in UI as a user, we can see the content clearly without any markup languages. But when we export the same item in default template, i could see description exported in markup language. Current Resolution: Using groovy, we can export the description content but it is 2nd way. Suggestion: If Codebeamer exports same as viewable in UI, it will be very useful

In OOTB versioning schemes, revision behavior can be controlled using various properties such as delta, min, max, and skip list.I have implemented a custom file-based versioning solution and wanted to understand whether it is possible to implement similar custom properties to control behaviors such as skipping versions, setting minimum revisions, and setting maximum revisions.

For specific sections of my document, I need to text to appear to the left of an external list for certain list items. I have created a variablelist, but it doesn’t appear to be working.  I have used Arbortext for many years, but this is my first attempt without a pre-existing styler / dita structure.  A styler was applied to the document, but I am just learning how it works. 

So the problem is - when we try to author documents in PTC Arbortext and use the PTC Illustrate  .pvz files for the graphics - the publishing engine doesn’t publish the original .pvz content when creating a .pdf.  it downconverts all the graphics to raster images rather than keeping the vector line art and 3D Steps ect. As for validating this problem:We did various testing  to try to get the Arbortext docs to publish to PDF without converting the PVZ images to Raster.  The only thing we were successfully able to do was find was an option to output the images to a higher resolution raster during the conversion.  But we need the pdf to retain the vector line art and text from the .pvz graphics and or utilize the full 3D .pvz functionality. Basically to verify that the .pvz file creation from PTC Illustrate was not somehow rasterized before we added to Arbortext - we opened in various other programs to prove the .pvz files opened with all the animated Steps and vector illustrations.  ( We

Hi everyone,I am working with 2D views in Vuforia Studio, but when I run the experience on an iPad using the Vuforia View app, I still see a very thin strip of the camera feed at the bottom of the screen.This happens even though the experience is intended to be purely 2D.Has anyone encountered this issue before?Is this expected behavior in Vuforia View? Is there a way to completely disable the camera view for 2D-only experiences? Hi,I am looking for solution to setup custom Fasteners that i already have in windchill into IFX inside CREO, could anyone help me please?I have added an example below to elucidate the problem.1. Model tree of the custom Fasteners i already have in windchill database looks something like this. I want to be able to create a dat file that is accessible in Creo IFX which performs the normal functions, (like size selection based on Dia of Hole and length selection based on grip length, etc )  I am aware that i need to setup Catalog file and dat file for these custom fasteners. but not sure on how to be able to access the instances inside the family table of my custom fastener inside the dat file. The family table looks like this :  How do i map these inside the Dat file ? i.e.Please do let me know if additional information is needed.Thanks ! 

I am almost positive I've seen a video or read a tutorial somewhere that showed how to compare two different versions of the same model in Creo Parametric when connected to Windchill.  If I remember correctly, to get around the workspace limitations one of them was automatically renamed on the fly.  Does anyone remember seeing something like this or know where it's located?  Thanks!

Hey guys,I’m currently experiencing some problems regarding MBD and family table parts…How do I handle mbd in a family table? For example: I have a shaft with several grooves. The number of grooves is controlled by the family table. I have numbered the cylinders with the original diameter in my generic part, in which all grooves are present, so that I can define them as a common surface for the drawing. How can I now control that, in an instance where, for example, there are no grooves at all, only this one note is displayed in the combined state? In the generic part, I have attached h1-h6 as notes to the surfaces; in the instance, I want only h1 to be displayed. However, if I hide the remaining notes in the instance, they are also hidden in the generic part.How to handle this situation?

Hi there, I’m trying to set up a connection between Modbus TCP driver in Kepware Server 7 and modbus ModRSsim2 simulator.Port 502 and device ID = 1 are used in both ends.When Kepware starts, it shows the following line i log window:   Channel1 | Starting unsolicited communication. | Protocol = 'TCP', Port = 502.   Should it be something like Modbus TCP Client/Master mode instead ?In Kepware Server 7 where do you switch between Modbus TCP Client/Master mode and Modbus TCP Server/Slave/Unsolicited mode when you set up a channel ?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance,Henrik 

In the Traceability report, after applying filters, more than 95,000 items are available. However, the system currently allows selecting a maximum of 500 items at a time.To select more than 500 items, we would need to navigate through each page and clicking “select all” individually. Hi all, I have the Part Configuration object. I have to load / bulk create 100’s of Part Instances with Serial Nos, by giving the serial nos and basic info in an excel sheet or .csv sheet.Is this possible? We are in Windchill 12.1.Alternatively, is it possible to create a new WRS domain for Part Instance and define some custom PUT/POST functions in it? Any experience on how this can be achieved.Best RegardsHari

Hi,My part lifecycle states include Development - Prototype - Released - WithdrawnOn revise from prototype or released the part will return to development state, and then a change notice is used to either transition Development → Prototype, Development → Released or Prototype→ ReleasedI have two types of change notice “Prototype Change Notice” and “Change Notice”, which have different workflows (different approval roles)I would like to limit the available release targets when a “Prototype Change Notice” is raised to only be the prototype state - “Preproduction” change transition (remove the Change transition from the list)This looks similar to the request here, but I cant see a solution - I have tried investigating the mapping rules, but I can only find how to limit target states based on the change object type, not on the change notice type it is withinThanks
