Where can I go to change the default template?

Last week we upgraded to Windchill 12 and Creo 9.0 with CreoView Adapter 9.1. When we submit a job to the CreoView, the model files (parts and assemblies) publish fine and benerate thumbnails that dhow in Windchill. The drawings do not publish a viewable or a thumbnail. When I open a drawing in CreoView, it only opens a blank page, no drawing. Models open fine and can be viewed and manipulated.

I want to use parameters for assigning material to parts in assembly. What is key difference between PTC_MASS_DENSITY and MP_DENSITY?. Which one would be correct to assign density using parameters. Additionally what is correct syntax to assign material to part using parameter. As when I use PTC_MASS_MATERIAL = Aluminum it displays error. 

Hi there, in the web.link "documentation" there is a function  boolean IsObjectCheckedOut (string WorkspaceName, string ObjectName)   within the "Class pfcServer" I tried  let active_ws = oSession.ListServers().Item(0).ActiveWorkspace; console.log (oSession.IsObjectCheckedOut(active_ws , CurModel.Filename));    But I only get "TypeError: oSession.IsObjectCheckedOut is not a function" How do I get the information, if an object is already checked out?   

I want to use negative integers in input as my coordinates of datum points are negative as well as positive. Is it possible to enter negative integer using Pro/Program.

Does anyone deliver a Model Compare Report to their customers? What about some type of automation that shows the "To/From Report"?   Lance      

I have wrote a ptgram that has no functionality only one class. And i can't register it in creo text directories are added protk.dat added but there is still an error.

Hello,I reinstalled Creo 6 recently. I didn't pay attention to my configuration options and the "save_file_iterations" configuration was set to yes. I modified my configuration options to no longer have the iteration for my next files and I understood that if my existing files have the iteration extension they will continue to have the iteration extension at each save.Hence my question: Is there a way of removing this iteration extension so that I can have "classic" files again?(I don't use Windchill).Thanks for your help.

In the default combined state of my part, I don't want the annotations to be present.  For those that come from a skeleton model, I can unassign them and they go away from the display. Problem is, upon regeneration, they come back as the systems re-assigns them to the combined active state.   I notice this auto-reassignment can be stopped by placing the source skeleton model into a state where the annotations are not shown.  I don't always remember to do this, so it becomes a bit of a pain in the neck to manage the display of annotations in my models.   I wonder if there is a config.pro setting that prevents this auto-addition of annotations.

I have created a chamfer on a part using the chamfer tool but when I show model annotations in the drawing the callout is simply "C .250". I would like it to show as "45° X .250". How do I make it show that way?

Hello-  I'm looking for some guidance on an analysis that I setting up inside Creo Simulate.  I'm using some contact interfaces to allow rotation about a set of pins and it seems that Creo is ignoring these interfaces without warning, but it is evident in the results.  I've added a screen shot of the problem (see below). Rotation is permissible between the red pins and the light blue parts (hence the use of contact interfaces).  With a load applied in the vertical direction (down) on the brown component, the gray actuator reacts this load and keeps it in position. This has a similar setup using contact interfaces but Creo seems to calculate this properly in the results. Can anyone offer any insight on why Creo would be ignoring these interfaces?  Any solutions that would correct this? 

When I try to export parts as 3mf or stl, curves, especially circles tend to be quite low poly. I don't know if this is because I am doing someting wrong or if this is just the way it is. I've had to resort to exporting as step and converting it in another programme. I am using CREO Student Edition 7.0.9.

As you can see, the diameter 26 is the dimension from the modeling.Underneath that, the orange 0.51 is a straight line sketch I made and dimensioned.Now, even though it's the same straight line, one is 26 in diameter and one is 0.51.Why is this wrong??? (The drawing is scaled 1:1 to the geometry.) Sure, I know how to temporarily swap them, via the Dimension Text setting, as shown below, but I don't want to go through the following process every time I sketch... I'm wondering if there is a way to draw a sketch and have the resulting dimensions match the ones from the modeling. 

Is there anywhere where the Creo parameter types are organized?For example,&Model_name : ???&sheet_number/&total_sheets : ???Like this... 

Hi, using Creo4 here and I am wondering if I am doing something strange but this was not quite expected: I prepared an explanatory note that is attached to geometry that is being brought in via the extern-copy-geom mechanism. But the parameters displayed by this note, which show up just fine when viewing the source model, disappear when the note is rendered in the target model: How the annotation and published geometry was prepared in the source model What the published geometry looks like in the target model   I realize that to get around this *** issue, I can craft my note to only use its own "annotation element" parameters.  And via relations, those can be made to be equal to the "original" feature and model parameters.  But that seems like twice the work...

I'm using beam elements to simulate some components. When visualizing the results I can show only the beams and show labels at the minor nodes of the beam, as seen in the image. However, the label on the node seems to get hidden. Thus, is there an easy way of offsetting the labels a little or "bringing them to the front"  of the graphics?   

I am currently using CREO 9.0 version.I was wondering how to use the OPTION window function to set the sketch shape reference element when sketching during DRAWING in CREO 7.0 version in CREO 9.0 version. (I know that the OPTION window has been removed due to the addition of the SNAPPING function).  

Is there any way to set the weight of the modeling to be automatically included when formatting the drawing?For example,When I finish modeling, I want the weight of the modeling to be automatically included in the drawing format when I create a new drawing.

There countless ways to automate Creo, starting with templates, relations, mapkeys, trail files, the Creo API etc. all well known, used and documented. But there is one concept which I use, but hardly ever read about, and that is to use image processing with Creo. And by image processing I mean, taking a screenshot of your desktop screen, analyse it with OpenCV and/or Pytorch and then click for example on a feature. So the process would be something like this: image processing > trail file/mapkey > image processing > trail file/mapkey > image processing > trail file/mapkey .... Admittedly it is a rather silly approach, since this has the worst performance you can imagine. Originally it started as one of my isItPossibleInCreoProjects, but still I use at work regularly. Since I couldn't find much on this topic, I made a short video to demonstrate it. 

When we run ModelCheck, I have it set to check for certain parameter values. This works fine if the value is not in the list or the parameter is not designated to Windchill. With some older files from another design group that we have inherited, the parameter may not be in the file. Is there a method to report that a parameter is not in the file?   These will report if the parameter is not designated or the value is not on the list. ModelCheck files were created with Creo 7, but I don't see any significant changes in the setup files.
