When opening views in a pvz file in Creoview 9.1 , when i click on one of the viewables, (IE D01, D02...) It shades the image. I am not sure what setting is causing this. I attached an image on this thread
I have a top level BOM that list all my parts with a column that calls out what page each component/item is on. Multiple components are shown on various D size prints with a "part" BOM located below each item. The "part" BOM is automatically populated with &sheet_number. The top level BOM, however, is not tied to this &sheet_number and can not auto populate. I understand repeat regions would tie them together (&asm.mbr.sheet), but I'd have to manually type the number in. The problem with that, parts tend to switch pages etc..... I just want the sheet number to auto populate on both BOM's without ever needing to be manually entered. Is this possible? I thought I had it working, but I was wrong.
I am using Creo Simulate Release 4.0 and DatecodeM080I am facing an issue with Creo Simulate. I need support for it.I am running a modal analysis, but every time I set the output to get “Mass participation factor” the run fails. The same run completes if Mass participation factor is unchecked. Here are the errors that I facedRun failed
I am using PTC Creo 8.0 and I need to do a model about a real object ( an old calculator), and I don't know how to start the sketch. If somebody could send, how the reference sketch looks like (for skeleton modelling) that would be a lot of help. The pictures show the calculator.
Hi folks!I have one issue that I can't solve on my own, perhaps someone could help me with it. Since I have to use a different balloon text height from the main text height, I manually change it every time creating an assembly drawing. Is there a way to input an exclusive balloon text height in prodetail file? I couldn't find the necessary parameter there. Please note that I'm talking about the text size, not the min/max balloon radius. Thanks in advance!
Hey!I have licence problem after installation Creo 10.0 - student version. I start the program and I always recieve a messege: I have to renew my licence. I don't know why, because I used the right code from PTC's website.I've also got a 'txt' file per email (Creo licence), but I don't know exactly, in which order should I copy it after dowload. Thanks for the answers!
hi,In eSupport it won't let me download the PTC CREO 10.0.2.0 files and an advertising window opens that I can't remove. Why?thanks
hello everyone, could you explain this update of the offset and project commands In my humble opinion it seems to have gotten worse. Now I have to confirm the command and before I didn't need to
I want to create the flexible PVC tubing for my assembly - routing is shown in the image. I have created the tube using cartesian method from the staring coordinate system. i feel this is time consuming and losing time to fix the each location of the tube. is there any faster and flexible way to do the flexible tubing something similar to creating the tube thru datum points/coordinate system ? pls help.
Good day,I am encountering a customer if we can run Creo Parametric 10.0 on MacOS via Parallels (similar with bootcamp emulator of MAC to make it windows OS) . We know that Creo has no version for MacOS but once Parallels was used will be there an issue or problem with it still? Let me know also if there is a article case of creo connected with Parallels. Thank you.
Hello every one When starting autoGEM or Analysis and Design Studies, Creo crashes/forces close. I am using Creo version 8.0.5 & 9.0.3. When I use 8.0.5 it runs well no problem, but every time I use Creo 9 or 10 it's always crashes Please help me regards Dio
What is the easiest way to combine assemblies in Creo?
While opening Creo, an error occurred, and Creo automatically closed, please suggest a solution to resolve this issue. Refer attached screen shot for your ref
In Creo is it possible to have the Dimensional Attributes in the Parameter Table tab without needing a relationship Thank you for your answers. Hello, I have a set of 3D surfaces that I need to project onto a plane to create an extrusion; however, since the plane is at an angle to the surfaces, and the surfaces have edges using Style, they cannot be projected using the Project tool. Below is a preview of the surface viewed normal to the plane, and there is also an image where the edge is visible zoomed in. I am making a mold, or "negative" of this part, so the only task that I need to do is project these edges and extrude to each individual surface within the part. Basically, I will take the outside profile of this plane and extrude up to the surface, like the photo with the red arrows shows. I have explored unwrapping the surface using Flatten Quilt, but that did not help. I also tried a few boolean Remove operations but they also did not work to create the mold. Is there any way to project these edges onto the plane to create an extrusion? I'm using Creo Parametric 10. Let me know of any questions, and any help is
When I try to open creo parameter application in my user unable to open, it is continuously processing. But same application run in administrator working but some features not able to work. kindly help on this issue.
I am trying to modify the text in pt_install_test to have a different button name. My .dat has text_dir set as just ./pt_install_test. Inside ./pt_install_test, I have been editing ./pt_install_test/text/usascii/msg_user.txt, such as -Install Test Label -Install Test TEST NEW VALUE but this change is not being reflected in the menu. I expected that this did not need a rebuild, but I've tested with rebuilds as well and the text is not changing. I am confused where it is even getting this old value from at this point.
Does anyone have an example of using VBA (excel) to modify the value of a parameter in an instance of a part family table?
When initially bringing a part into an assembly using "main Window" mode, but prior to placing the part, can you change the default incoming position relative to the assembly, maybe there is a config setting that allows the new part to appear in the current window, zoomed in to the spot you want to add the new assembly item? Why am I asking - On large assemblies, the new incoming part enters the assembly model very far from where I want to place it (way off screen). It takes a lot of mouse work to drag it over to where it needs to be placed. Why am I not using the "Separate Window" mode in assembly? Because the separate window mode is quirky and difficult to use, in my opinion - parts almost always end up upside down or end up being unassembleable forcing one to use the main-window assembly mode.
Hi folks, Just a quick question from a relatively new user of Creo. With respect to the calculated mass properties, does anyone know which inertia tensor sign convention Creo uses? I've been told by some of my seniors that it's the negative inertia tensor, but does Creo specifically state that somewhere? Thanks!
I have a assembly of two parts which are similar ,one part is the copy of the other. While adding dimensions to this assembly in the drawing very few edges highlight for dimensioning. The other edges which I have to dimension to neither highlight nor are select able.I am on PTC Creo Elements 5.0 M260.On customer end I have checked on PTC Creo Parametric 2.0 M190,the result is same.*Windows 10 Pro is the operating system. Thanks in advance for any helpful advice. *I do know PTC Creo Elements Pro 5.0 is not compatible with Windows 10 Pro,but it runs just fine.
Something has happened to my proe wf3 installation. When I right click a part and then do < info - model> I just get a white window. The browser address listed is "proep://local_proesession?oid=6454.PRT&item=PART&id=6291484&action=info"but nothing appears. Is there a setting for this?
I have a table with a repeat region for a BOM with materials masses and COG information. The COG is being reported from the part level and is according to the part default CSY. What is the best way to get the COG information tabulated according to the top level assembly default CSY? When doing mass properties analysis this information is given and it is in the top level CSY and units, but it is not recursive and I don't know how to get this information according to the assembly CSY into a repeat region even for flat assemblies. ------------------- MASS PROPERTIES OF COMPONENTS OF THE ASSEMBLY(in assembly units and the XXXXXXXXX.ASM coordinate frame) DENSITY MASS C.G.: X Y Z ------------------- repeat region variables I have been using: &rpt.index, &asm.mbr.name , &asm.mbr.PTC_MASTER_MATERIAL, &asm.mbr.pro_mp_mass[.7], &asm.mbr.pro_mp_cogx[.1], &asm.mbr.pro_mp_cogy[.1], &asm.mbr.pro_mp_cogz[.1],
We recently upgraded from Creo 6 to Creo 8.0.7.0. The cabling option is missing on the Applications tab. How do I get the cabling option activated in Creo 8. Thanks
If I have a Repeat Region BOM, when I place it on an assembly drawing it uses rpt.qty to tally all the quantities. I also have a unit column that is set to EA by default. In certain instances, I have a dumb part in my assembly with a hydraulic hose part number attached to it. But if I set my units to FT instead of EA and manually type in (8) in my quantity field in the part, the repeat region has no way of seeing this and since their is only one instance of it in my assembly, the Repeat Region BOM will say 1 ft? Is their a way I can tell the Repeat Region that when the Unit Column is not set to EA, that it needs to read the quantity from the part file. Which I already have set to 8?
