Hello Community, I am using ProParameterWithUnitsCreate, on Creo 9.0.2.0,to add a parameter to a model. However, everything I have tried to make it work has failed.  The code I am using is below:{...ProParamvalueSet(&testVal, p_value, new_value_type); err= ProParameterWithUnitsCreate(&target_item, test, &testVal, NULL, &testInit);...}target_item is a valid ProModelItem, test is a valid wchar_t*, testval is a valid ProParamValue, and testInit is an unitialized ProParameter. I have followed TestParams.c file to check if I did anything wrong, but it appears I have not.  I have also looked at this article, Article - CS383949 - Creo Parametric Toolkit API ProParameterWithUnitsCreate() fails with error PRO_TK_BAD_INPUTS on specific machine (ptc.com), but it is unclear to me what registry file I am supposed to change the unicode_encoding to True on. Does anyone have any idea as to why, with valid inputs, I am receiving the PRO_

Just looking for a little guidance with a drawing. I need to show pattern dimensions on a drawing - component pattern - but I want to show the pattern dimensions between the 4th and 5th pattern members (or 5th and 6th). Using "Show Model Annotations", if I select the pattern, it shows the pattern dims between the 1st and 2nd pattern members. If I select the 4th pattern member, it only shows dims from the component (not assembly dims). I'm a long time Pro/E user recently coming to Creo 9. This was easy to do before, but it appears that PTC has disassociated the assembly position dims from the components, so you have to jump through hoops to show assembly dims - which is horribly annoying - but in this case, I can't find the hoops to jump through. Query select allows selection of the component (or any feature of the component), but if you query to the assembly, it only shows dims for the 1st to 2nd pattern members. Is there a way to show pattern dims in a place other than

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150I am facing some problem regarding dimensions witness lines in Creo drawing. Every time I regenerate, or check-in check-out part, dimension witness line gets disturbed (elongated in/out of view). Problem seen specifically for Parametric dimensions which are converted to ordinate dimension.

Hello, So I have those 5 curves, and I want to make a surface (with surface menu or boundary blend, either way is fine). Problem is surface is not responding to select those 5 curves together, and rightly so due to their positions and they "estimated-by-my-eye" result that it would come out. The closest thing to a solution is to take 2 of those 5 curves, and then use the rest as guides. Which works up to a point BUT... 5 curves are not full ones. 3 of the 5, are partial ones, I want to select them from up to a point. Also it is worth noting that those curves are all boundaries of the desired surface.  1. I connect 2 surfaces. One is partial, one is full curve. All fine so far.2. I add one partial one at the left boundary. Still fine, surface closes in to the desired shape.3. I have to add 2 curves, as right boundary for the right side. One of which is also partial. Either way, partial or no partial, CREO does not accept 2 curves to be recognised as one and adde

Hi,Is there any way to change the default family naming instances?like I need 001,002,003,004 etc for new instances.I tried with open with excel replace all.  But the moment I save this tmp excel file the family table disappears. Also tried with Mapkeys to carefully delete INST1 and write 001 that also not working. I have 100+ parts require family table instances. Any common idea to rename the instances?   

Hey everyone,i'm a newbie in creo and i'd like to add some axes on my drawing by using ''Show Model Annotations''.It works but i want to display the names of the axes, like A_1 and A_2I haven't that problem before when i changed my config file into mmks_config.      

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0When I select a quilt in the model and hide it, the Model Tree does not update accordingly anymore*. As a consequence, it is not possible to show the quilt again by acting on the Model Tree.* In Creo 7 it all worked fine.

hello there, I just downloaded Creo 9 and while working on my project suddenly the application shuts down . I opened Creo again but it is not responding at all, it has been three days now and it is still not opening or responding. Has anyone got a similar issue?          

Hi Folks, I have added an image (decal) to a part surface.  My assembly includes two of these parts.  However, only one of the parts in the assembly is displaying the decal.  The second part does not show the decal.  Any ideas as to why this is?  Thank you.

Surely others have run up against this issue and there is an elegant solution hiding somewhere out there... If anyone can point me in the right direction much appreciated! I have found that running a Global Interference Analysis will include use cases such as fasteners in the returns... There is an interference detected where the solid geometry outside of the cosmetic thread on an external thread and the solid geometry inside of the cosmetic thread on an internal thread.  It seems a bit much to ask users to sift through the returns and determine which detected interferences are "real" and which to ignore... never mind calling ModelCheck into the game. Initially I had hoped that the Creo Interference analysis would exclude volumes between corresponding cosmetic threads, or at least provide an option to do so.  Not that I can find. I had high hopes for either or both of part level simplified reps and multi-body modeling...  I thought maybe I could have an "i

Hi, I am trying to change the axis of revolve to the blue circled feature. When I try to select "A_1", it doesn't let me do that. Could anyone please have a look at the attached zip folder which has the part file and let me know how to fix this? Best,  

I have created a fastener in an assembly and ran the static analysis. I got the output of the shear force and Axial force as follows.      Fastener1_axial_stress:      3.026563e+03     Fastener1_bending_moment:    8.841788e+06     Fastener1_bending_stress:    6.871864e+03     Fastener1_shear_force:       1.125990e+05     Fastener1_shear_stress:      2.579097e+02     Fastener1_torsion_moment:    7.846665e+02     Fastener1_torsion_stress:    3.049226e-01Fastener shear force value I want to know which plane force is that. If we do beam or spring approach we get the Shear in Plane 1 and Plane 2. But here shear force on the fastener is only one value. How to understand this ?  

Is there a way to set default sketcher preferences for drawings? I want it to automatically allow horizontal/vertical snapping. I could not find any options for it. I found an article from 2016 about this stating that it was not a functionality of Creo Parametric, but was "reported as a product idea." That's the only information I can seem to find. Is there any documentation on the syntax for *.PSF and *.PRO file (eg: syntax for comment out line, etc) ?  For PSF file, i always  under the assumption that // is used to comment out a line.However, i notice that if i change the first line // PTC - PSF file: parametric to something like // PTC - PSF file: parametric2, the PSF file will no longer work.

Our drawings have as a standard drawing view boundary type set to "circle". See below.Our old drawings are like below.  Hi.... While importing any neutral format parts (parasolid,stp,igs etc.. ) i am facing an issue import validation failure and my part file converted as a solid file. Why the creo can't heal the surfaces automatically. and even i create a step file by creo and again i tried to open that file in the same creo software but i am facing the same issue.              Note: Already the part is accepted as a solid part by creo but i try to save as a step and tried to open again in the same part in the same creo. Why it converted as error surface body?? Please give me a proper solution for this. Hello, I am attempting to add the "use_inverted_mousewheel_zoom" to my config.pro file in Creo Parametric 4.0. To do so I click, "add" then find that option and press ok. It appears in my config.pro file with a star next to it. When I close out of my config.pro and open it again, the addition disappears. I found from a different article that the star is config.pro saying "Newly added option and not applied". How do I go about saving the addition to my config.pro or rather, how do I apply the change? Picture linked below.
