Creo+ and Creo Parametric

For Creo, I want to know mathematical expression for converting windows coordinates to 3d coordinates if with respect to mouse click or vice versa.        

I do have a base parametric model, with this model i would like to generate so many models with out using manual Creo tools.All the possible existing parameter values i would like to change in a combinational form.Please help, any automation tool was exist.If not  to achive my requirment any automation script can be developed. Thanks and RegardsVishnu Ch      

Hello,   I've to upgrade creo to vb-api. This upgrade has to be done for many machines.   How can I upgrade creo for many machines without disturbing the users?              

When I add an overlay sheet or view, at the beginning , seems to work. after the check-in, if you close and erase not display, when you open again the drawing that contain the Overlay, the result is some DATUM with large rectangle, and this result also in the publication of Windchill.Only if I open in my session the source drawing and after I regenerate the target drawing, the problem will solve.But taking in to account that after the check-in the cad worker will retrieve only the target drawing, so the problem will reflect after in windchill.   

 We are licensing Creo on the server side, but some of our client PCs are on Creo 7.0 and others are on Creo 4.0. We are going to renew the licenses.I am concerned that there will be authentication problems if I set up one and the same license on the server side, since each client has a different Creo version. HI Team, Background work we have done for this, collected all the views and filtered the flat view by the part model used in the view. retrieved solid from the view, from solid collected number of surface and no of edges using surface visit and contour visit.and set the view for surface recognition For ProDimensionAutoOrdinateCreate(). also given Proselection surface_array and edge selection through Program. but not able to achieve dimensions even after conditions are specified for the surfaces and edges.We are getting one error while executing ProDimensionAutoOrdinateCreate() this function all. Hi Every one, My requirement is to create an irregular pattern of holes. I have 'X' and 'Y' dimensions of points where holes to be made and will create a family table of patterns.but, after creating table pattern the points are reversely plotted (-ve became positive and positive became -ve). I think it is taking relative position instead of absolute positions. I can reverse the signs to get the proper results but I have to use the exact values of 'X' and 'Y' dimensions. I have attached the snaps of the problem I am facing. please help.     

I am running CREO Parametric 7.0.4.0 on Windows 10.I would like to use the boolean cut function to match some mating geometry. I've watched a few videos on how its done and it seems rather simple.I was having issues so I created 2 cubes and a practice assembly, however when I try and select the geometry to be used as the cut, it will not let me select it. (view in My Videos) I do see a feedback message in the bottom left that states: "Reference cannot be uesd due to the scope setting of NONE for Environment."  I could not find an obvious setting in the config to make this adjustment to locally. Any ideas?

Hello - Sophos has gone rogue and is deleting trueSolid-x64.dllWe have the file whitelisted on the server, but all these clients have detached.Yes, I'm currently working with Sophos to address the client randomly detaching from EnpointCentral. However, I have 7 engineers without CREO and need a quick fix. Is there any way to run Creo 7.0.2.0  without trueSolid-x64.dll? (sophos is difficult to remove on remote clients as it requires booting to safe mode to disable tamper protection).for reference, the error Creo throws is and putting trueSolid-x64.dll back in play is immediately deleted by Sophos,which promptly pats itself on the back for doing such a good job.Thanks,Fred    

When importing AP242 STEP files into Creo Parametric 8.0.4.0, some driving dimensions are converted to NOTES and lose all PMI parameter data.  I need all driving dimension to retain PMI parameter values (dimension value, tolerance value and tolerance type, etc).Any suggestions on why some are converted to Notes and how to ensure all dimensions retain PMI parameter values?    

Hi,   With the announcement of Creo+ (which is getting me really excited for the future of CAD and PTC taking the lead) I'm wondering, how do the 2 products relate to each other?   We are using Creo Parametric with Windchill at the moment. Will moving to Creo+ at some point eliminate the need for Windchill?  And will the files and its features be compatible / exchangeable with one another?   Happy to see your answers,   Jeroen        

Is it possible to define a coordinate/position, so that this point is automatically selected within a sketch using mapkey? My objective is to update a curve (which already works with mapkey) and that curve is used in a sketch to extrude a part. When updating the curve you have to select the new one to replace the reference:  To prevent the user from selecting something that should not be selected, I'd like to use the mapkey to select the right curve in the sketch.  I'm using Creo 7 Thanks in advance!   

How can I select Quilt F160 from the model tree? I can't select Feature 160 from the graphics window. Any alternate ways to select the desired quilts? Thanks!   

I'm trying to make a sheet metal part with some bent flanges, but the miter cut option in the "Flat" tool doesn't work on one of my corners, as shown in the attached image. Any idea why the left corner fails but the right corner works? Creo 8 and Creo 9.         

We are currently on Creo 4 and Windchill (Intralink) 8.  If I do a ptcstatus.bat I see 15 Intralink 8 licenses available.  Unfortunately, we need about 25 until we get ourselves upgraded to Creo 8 or 10 and Windchill 12 later this year.  We have purchased numerous licenses of Windchill 12 but they're just sitting there, waiting for implementation.  It would be great if we could temporarily transfer those to Intralink 8 licenses for a short period of time. Is there something we could do now w/ PTC or are we stuck until we upgrade? Thanks..

Hi all,I have the situation that after creating and deleting a bundle I am left with new cable segments (one in each cable where the budle previously was), which leaves me with three segments per cable.The segmentation sometimes leads to unwanted effects when moving location points.The use case is to lengthen or shorten the bundle sleeve. This creates new segments each time.Is there a way to go back to the original state (one segment, or join segments into one?

Hi,  Is it possible to rotate the text for angle dimenions call out? please see attached example.i would like the orientation of the text to be on the same side of the dimension line, rather than opposite as shown 

Is it possible to customize the default hole notes of holes (all types) in Creo Drawings?  

A current design needs a counterbore clearance for a socket wrench. I entered the value and then switched from close fit to free fit. The counterbore changed back to the standard diameter. Having manually entered this, it shouldn't change. I am glad I caught it. Hi, In some of our assemblies we use varying lengths of the same item, defined in a family table. We have been able to drive a parameter by the length of the instances no problem, and this places the different lengths of the items as separate lines in the BOM as desired. However, we would like to have a separate table which shows the total required length of that item. For example if we use two 100mm and one 200m strip of the same tape we require a table to display the part number for the tape and the total length of 400mm. In some assemblies we use also use multiple kinds of tape which we would like to display all in one table. Is there a way to combine parameters between parts with the same name and description and display as a single item in a table?  thanks    

I am in the process of testing a Stream Deck XL for improvements in office automation. A large ECO needs a note added. I put the text in Stream Deck so that when I open the text dialogue box it would enter the text.   Here is the text:   Here is what I end up with in Creo.     Is this a font issue or something else? If I copy and paste it from another drawing, or even from the text in the stream deck it works.     Thanks, Dale

Hi......       Anyone pls help  This is my simple sketch to make hole, and the sketch presented on planeFirst image   After i click extrude its shows to select body. But actually its a single body part.    Any how i select all body to remove material. But in my result u can see that my total bottom side part is got deleted but there a only one round closed sketch is presented in my sketch for remove material.     

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM140Creo Traceback log error- it can happen in 10 seconds or 10 minutes just by zooming or a rotation of the assembly.Please find the attached snapshot of the error.Please do assist the user "jean-jacques.cote@carrier.com" for resolving the issue- We are part of the admin team.

Hello,I've buy Stream Deck XL.Very fine for my mapkeys and folders, sub-folders.I highly recommend it !Even if it's made for video streaming, I can program all my Creo Mapkeys 😉I save a lot of time !Each key can have a picture and a text.It's ok for my text, but I'm wondering if Creo icons could be finds in Creo folders or somewhere.For exemple display planes... create new assembly...Thanks
