Hi, The toolkit get resource(TEXT_DIR) only once when a start Auxiliary Applications for one.So another toolkit app can not get a resource(UI files, msg_file, etc..) they need to start or use it. Because "Second-TKAPP" starts after "First-TKAPP", only the resource of "First-TKAPP" is obtained, not the resource "Second-TKAPP". As the toolkits are launched in different locations, is there a way to get their respective resources? Thanks,Warm Regards,SeonHo Cha.
I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M190In trying to run parametric in a script, it fails to start. We are currently running a DELL M6800 Precision laptop with Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, SSD, Intel i7-4810MQ CPU, 32 GB RAM and a NVIDIA Quadro K4100M Graphics card. We have had this for several years and are looking at getting new laptops. Our company will only but DELL laptops. I have looked at the Support Platform documentation at PTC.com for CREO 4.0 and CREO 5.0 but I cannot find any certified DELL laptops using Windows 10. The only DELL workstations are towers. Anyone have suggestions or a list of PTC Certified DELL laptops running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit?
Hello I want to create a UDF to automate engravings. The engraving consists in the Extrude of a text value, having a hole and 2 planes as references. I was able to create the UDF, and automate the engraving, but I want to be able to have the text as a variable that I can change when running the UDF. Ex: IN1, IN2. IN3.... Is this possible? Thanks
Is it possible to save my list of tools in pdf format or print?
So basically I was using Creo 4 and use to have the minitoolbar for AFX and IFX now I'm on a brand new install, and I missing both. What do I need to do to bring back the minitoolbar for buw products?
I thought that the trial period was 30 days but I got a popup saying "Time Remaining - Your Creo Parametric8.0 trial will expire in - 18813 days, -19 hours and -9 minutes.", is it an error or whats "18813 days" mean? Also, after 30days I wont be allowed to use trial anymore or will be able to use some of the functions still?
I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M140When we work on a drawing a user get an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errorWe get the error when:"I open a .drw file, with views, notes, tables and dimensions inside, I copy a table and paste it, then I try to position it and the error appears.• I open a .drw file, with views, notes, tables and dimensions inside, I create a section and the error appears.• I open a .drw file, with views, notes, tables and dimensions inside, I try to open another .drw file and the error appears before I even open the file.• I open a .drw file, with views, notes, tables and dimensions inside, I try to open a 3D file and the error appears.• I open a .prt file, try to open another .prt file and the error appears."Here are the errors that I faced The trace creation timestamp is: Mon Jul 12 15:27:06 21The executable build timestamp is: Mon Jul 24 15:19:28 17The datecode is: 2017170The pro machine type is: x86e_win64The process ID is: 12488The traceback type is : CRASHThe logger
Hi All, I've searched around a bit with no luck thus far. Hopefully this is an easy question.I'm analyzing a mechanism similar to a universal joint with an output shaft angle that differs from the input shaft angle. My current goal is to plot input angle vs. output angle.I see angular velocity as a measure in mechanism, but not angular position / rotation. I've set up a user defined measure for angular position based on x displacement & some simple trig, but this obviously isn't accurate once you change quadrants. I could set up a more elaborate user defined measure to account for this, but it seems like there might be a better/easier method for angular position measurement in mechanism?Thanks in advance.
I have a problem placing a UDF with a reference that is not contained in the parent part.Let's have a look at the following code, which is working as expected: pfcAssembly_ptr assembly = pfcAssembly::cast(session->GetActiveModel());logFile << "assembly: " << assembly->GetFullName() << endl; pfcSolid_ptr skeleton = assembly->GetSkeleton();logFile << "skeleton: " << skeleton->GetFullName() << endl; pfcFeature_ptr partItem = assembly->ListFeaturesByType(false, pfcFEATTYPE_COMPONENT)->get(1);pfcModelDescriptor_ptr desc = pfcComponentFeat::cast(partItem)->GetModelDescr();pfcPart_ptr part = pfcPart::cast(session->GetModelFromDescr(desc));logFile << "part: " << part->GetFullName() << endl; pfcModelItem_ptr sketchItem = part->GetItemByName(pfcITEM_FEATURE, "SKETCH");logFile << "sketchItem: " << sketchItem << endl;pfcSelection_ptr selection = pfcCreateModelItemSelect

dear all, please let me know how to add stop disc MH and stop disc FH of same supplier in mould base definition file.I will save this assembly definition file for reuse. I will use different types of part (model) for stop disc MH and stop disc. when I am downloading the preset mould assembly (what I configured) I can see only top disc MH in my mould assembly. stop disc FH is missing. am I doing something wrong? please advise. I am using emx 13.0.0.0
Hello Community, I am working on EMX 12.0.2.0 We have issue regarding Fastener size in BOM. I am using d-m-e STD supplier in which M series screws, which are M5, M8, M10 but when i am exporting a BOM, Fastener size calculated by its head Diameter. We need (M5 x 15) M-series in BOM size column. Similarly it happen with ejector pin also. Please find the attached Image FYI.
Hi Guys, can someone tell me if i can stop these 00_BUW layers from being created when i make an EMX moldbase? I thought i could go into each plate and component, and get rid of them, but they still show up once I hit Assembly definition button. And then i get more once I add in mold plates. Is there a config hidden somewhere? Or am I stuck with these everytime I use EMX? Thanks, Jay
Good afternoon I am running Creo flow analysis with a heat air coolant heat exchanger. However when I try to run the model after meshing I receive a dialog box that states "bad allocation". What does this mean exactly?

We need a resolution in Creo Parametric 8.0 for a chain assembly. We want to assemble a chain in a curve using a curve pattern. But the pitch distance is not equal in the straight line and in the curved path. It is the same along a straight line and varies along curved paths. This is critical assembly and so we should assemble the chain as exactly as they are in real assembly. How to assemble a chain in a curve using a curve pattern without changing the pitch value? 1) There may be a lot of ways to assemble the chain links in a curve. But chain assembly is used universally and so there will be a simple solution to do this (For instance, pattern). So, we want to assemble the chain links using "pattern" along the curve or else a very simple method to do this. Because for a long chain assembly we could not assemble multiple times or go for a lengthy process. 2) There is a way to do this using "pattern". While we search on the
Hello friends , I am new Creo Customization , and I am struck in placement of drawing view in temples , I have already created a template just call it and display it , now I want to add views , please help me to overcome the problem . Regards, Kunal
Hi Everyone, I have a pretty simple question - I am looking for a good training on how to work with simplified reps. I dug through enterprise PTCU, the courses, the tutorials, youtube, etc. and came up with a few things but I want a little more. Can somebody recommend a training that does a good job of covering this topic? I imagine it might be part of a larger training like "working with assemblies" or something of that nature. Thanks! Brian
Hello, I use Creo 4, in the drawing when I move a note or a bubble, there are always positioning constraints that appear, is there a way to disable this function? Someone can help me ? thanks
HiAs in the image below, we want to change the line style of a specific feature. After completing the collection of features, the line style is changed through macros. Is it possible to change the line color of a specific feature in a drawing through an API function? Or any other good ideas? Thank you. Warm Regards, SeonHo Cha.
I am using Creo Parametric 2.0 M250, it was working fine for months. Does anyone have any other tricks I didn't try below?After Creo prematurely exit, parametric.exe no longer launches. Earlier this year our company standards moved from Relative accuracy to Absolute accuracy as the default, the problem we are encountering is users creating new parts by performing 'Save as' on old relative accuracy parts, even though sometimes they completely re-model the parts so they could have just started from scratch. I have configured Modelcheck to show Accuracy info as an error but this method relies on the users running Modelcheck, which they don't always do. I have tried to configure Modelcheck to run on save and check for accuracy only but I get an error file stating that the HTML does not exist. Any ideas on the best way to check for Part accuracy, ideally as soon as the user opens the part or saves the part?
