Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Hi there,   how can the browser cache be disabled in embedded chromium browser? Some sources say, that You just can open Chrome and disable it via settings -> more tools -> developer tools -> Network -> "disable cache". But this seems only to work for the "real" chrome browser and has no effect on the embedded browser.   In the embedded chrom(ium) browser only refreshes the base page (e.g. test.php) and its included javascript (<script src="test.js" type="text/javascript" ></script>) but not javascript files, that were included afterwards ( document.write("<script type=\"text/javascript\" src=\"my-lib.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>'); )   any help would be appreciated. In Creo 6.0.4.0 I can run Live Simulation without any problems but in Creo 7.0.2.0 I can only assign constraints and loads as the Simulate 'button' is locked. Without adding floating license the constraint and loads icons including Simulate icons are greyed out. Anyone experienced this issue.  

I have a part in one of my BOMs that I don't have access to modify the parameters of. The parameter being referenced is TITLE1, but for this part in particular TITLE1 is blank and TITLE2 contains the actual part name that I need. Is there a way to override this without breaking the relations in the table? Can I change the parameter being referenced for only this cell?

I am using the base manufacturing program - I'm not sure what it is called (NC?). We also have Expert Machinist but I am not using the application. Hi all, I've done a fair amount of searching to identify opinions & processes, but really haven't found much on showing iterations on drawings. I saw one point (Mike L) for including the full version on a drawing and one (David M) removing all Windchill data from the drawing. I am interested to hear if anybody has arguments against putting Revision & Iteration on a drawing vs. only the Revision ( Rev. A vs. Rev A.4). Another issue would also be putting the Lifecycle State on the drawing.   I know a case for only a Revision on a drawing is that I can make iteration changes without a new drawing. If a lifecycle state changes due to workflow and I don't have the iteration or Lifecycle state on that drawing, I do not have to print/publish a new drawing.   If I have a Lifecycle, Iteration or other Windchill attribute on a drawing, I can republish for an update without requiring a CAD Author to make the change. (This can also be managed automagically in a workflow).  

hello . while i was drawing i accidently closed the Creo but fortunately there is a file that i saved on the desktop. I tried to continue from where i saved, but i couldn't because i could not find model tap, so i can not run function " Revolve" and finish rest of the works.  On the picture, i think where i drew red circle,  there should be "Model Tap" . IF  anyone knows about it , please help me because i need to practice Creo for my exam and yet i have spend more than 2 days for figuring this by myself, and somehow i found this websites just now so i am posting this.....

Hello all, I'm looking at a build and hoping to get some feedback on hardware: Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X (16-Core) 4.7 GHz Turbo System Memory: 64GB DDR4 3200MHz Graphics Card(s): 1x PNY Quadro RTX 4000   I'm currently running Creo 4.0 and get bogged down having a large assembly open.  

Alright, so I'll do my best to explain this annoying issue, so bare with me and I'll respond to any questions. I will try to load any pictures later that my boss approves.First, let me describe the part. For simplicity's sake, It's basically a block with a square cutout in the center of this block. It's really more complex than this but after some elimination of features, I have figured out what's causing the problem. There is a slot that follows the center cutout's profile. The slot is 0.078" wide and rests 0.035" - 0.055" outward from this center cutout. I know the slot is causing the issue as when I suppress feature, save part, close the program, re-enter the program, and open the part, this issue still occurs.What is happening is every time I open this part, it shows this center cutout is filled in. Also, It still shows the edge that would be there as if the cutout was still there. Once I relocate the insert tab in the tree, edit a feature or move a feature, etc etc, the graphics f

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) 4.0 M130Hi Team,I am using Visual Studio 2015 to create a function to loop through Creo parts and store them in a vector/map.When I try to include #include & #include into the solution, it throws up many errors.I did check the similar issue raised on PTC(https://community.ptc.com/t5/Customization/toolkit-c-include-failed/m-p/578733#M7858), but even after following those steps the errors still remained.

Hi Guys,   Lets say i have an assembly open and on my screen. I then open a drawing file. This drawing file does not come forward on the screen. Its actually behind the assembly i had open previously.    Has anyone had this happen? It happens on a few of our computers here...but not all of them.    I do remember this being an issue with wildfire.. a long time ago, but don't know what the fix was for it.    I do have an open ticket with PTC on this, but thought i would ask you guys if anyone has come across this.    We are running Creo 7.0.2.0 and Windows 7 professional. Also running the latest video card drivers. (have Nvidia K2000)   Thanks, Jay

Hi, Most of the CNC builders offer option liked the one in the title. Does anybody know how to activate/ control them using GPost. Or how to capture things when you need 3+2 machining or 5 axis machining?

I want to use trochoidal milling with 5 Axis machining. Is this function given in Creo 5.0? I added "trochoidal_milling" in the config.pro. After selecting the trajectory milling the two parameters "trochoid_width" and "trochoid_depth appear, where i can configure my milling path. When I switch to 5-axis machining the parameters disappear. Why is this happening? I am using Creo Parametric 5.0. Thank you in advance!

Hi all. I’m looking to learn to use CREO during my free time at work. I do rapid prototyping work for a large company, the floor level machinists all use MasterCAM and the engineers and CAD people all use CREO. My department kind of falls in between so we have full licenses to both, but none of us know how to use CREO besides pulling .stp files.I’ve been watching videos on youtube and the little bit of CAD I’ve picked up seems much easier than making models with MasterCAM. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be many tutorials for CREO compared to MasterCAM/Fusion/whatever. Anyone have any recommendations? Does the license for CREO Parametric include access to PTC University/LEARN?Thanks!Paul  

I'm currently working on the bone prosthesis design incorporated with lattice structure. I'm using lattice feature in Creo 4.0 to generate the lattice. However, I have a problem when CREO isn't able to generate the lattice according to the shape that I want. What is the reason for this and how to solve it?

I am learning to use Creo 4.0 Manufacturing to create toolpath and send code to our Haas 3 axis mill.  I've been fairly successful so far but I am struggling to understand how to apply lead in and cutter compensation and get it to output G41/G42.  I have the Creo 4.0 manufacturing "Black Book" tutorial but the menus and options appear to be outdated and are much different than what I see in my app. I've narrowed it down to a "CUTCOM" command but if I turn it on,  it still will not generate G41 when I process code.  Is there an updated tutorial that will walk me through how to use cutter comp and other functions?? thanks  

i HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE THE POST FOR THIS MACHINE BUT UNABLE TO MAKE 3+2 MOVE AND TRUE 5 AXIS WORKING ON THE SAME POST.  DOES ANYONE HAD ANY SUCCESS FOR THIS POST YET?.

Does anyone have an example of how to set assembly or component appearances (preferably by name), using the VB API?

Creo Parametric 7.0 does not start anymore. I suspect a Windows update (Windows 10; operating system build 19042.928) or something about the hardware could be to blame, because it also affects other design software, such as Prusa Slicer and Fusion 360. It can't be due to the system requirements because it used to run without problems. rIf I reinstall the software (current version) it does not get better. When I want to start the software, it appears briefly in the task manager under background processes and also disappears again immediately. The mouse turns into an hourglass, as normal. That is all that happens. No window opens. I just recently installed the software; then it started twice, now it doesn't. I suspect if I reinstall the software it will not get better. Maybe someone has an idea what the problem could be. All drivers are up to date. My computer is a Lenovo Thinkpad P53s; hard disk Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB; processor Intel Core i7 -8565U; 16 GB RAM. Hey all,   Just went from 5.0 to 6.0.1.0 and now when we edit definitions while a cross section is activated. We get a blue cross section color. Like the whole section is blue with no definitive part outlines to be seen. Pretty terrible when trying to re-constrain interior parts of an assembly.   Anyone else run into this or know of a way to change how an X-Section looks?

Hello,   ASME Y14.5 2018 and 2009 are saying in paragraph 6.3.2.1 and 3.3.2 respectively that a dashed line must be used if the datum feature is hidden. By watching Fig 6-3 on the 2018 version I understand that "hidden" means behind the projected view.   My question is: Why is CREO 4.0 changing the extension line of a Datum Symbol from a solid one to a dashed one when I drag the Datum Symbol away from the contour line in a projected view where that contour is visible in solid line on the projected view? That is not happening if the Datum symbol is attached to a dimension and that wasn't happening before CREO 4.0, furthermore it is actually not what ASME is showing in multiple examples across the pictures of Y14.5 Standard (Fig 7-52 Datum A, Fig 9-2 Datum A, Fig 9-11 Datum A, Fig 10-2 Datum A, etc.)   This is creating confusion between the R&D and Metrology department in my organization. I appreciate your support to clarify this topic.
