I use flexible modeling frequently for my work lately using the offset geometry or edit radius commands have been causing my program to not respond and ultimately end up crashing with this error message. I've been wasting lots of time due to these crashes and some insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi, all Is there a way how to configure something like "local search path"? I mean the search path valid for current working directory. I need to set search paths when I change working directory. Is it possible? e.g. to have file with paths in working directories and creo use these files when search for models. (not common file like search.pro, but different for each dir.) Currently the motion envelope is only velocity based. User will have to set the velocity at which each actuator operate and their sequence based on time and the motion envelope is generated based on the given motion the designer desires.But my requirement is to get the complete possible motion envelope of a linkage. Say there are 3 actuators, having stroke 100 - 1000 mm and the step values are in increments of 100 mm.So there will be 10 possible positions (100,200,300,400....1000) for each actuators.The total possible combinations considering all 3 actuators will be 10 X 10 X 10 = 1000 combinations.I need a motion envelope of the linkage considering all these 1000 locations.Is there any workaround to get this motion envelope using Creo Mechanism ?

I am running into a bit of an issue.  I want to change the name of the material to "purch" for my purchased components but keep the material properties.  Essentially what I want to accomplish is in my assembly drawing BOM it will be clear which items are purchased and which are manufactured.     When I go to PTC_Material_Name and try to change it, I get an error saying "invalid value    

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M080Nous cherchons a intégrer des dossiers dans lesquels se trouvent nos fichiers .Prt, .asm et . drw. de sorte qu'à l'ouverture d'un fichier d'assemblage, creo récupère automatiquement ces fichiers qui interviennent dans l'assemblage.Nos fichiers sont organisés dans différents dossiers, et lors de l’ouverture d’un assemblage creo n’est pas capable de retrouver les pièces.Nous avons 2 pc et 2 licences, Le fichier config.pro a été copié depuis le PC1 (qui fonctionne normalement) et les chemins ont été adaptés pour correspondre aux chemins depuis le PC2. Ceci à fonctionnée pour les formats des mises en plan et les couleurs de la fenêtre mais pas pour le reste.Pouvez-vous nous indiquer comment faire pour que créo puisse ouvrir toutes les pièces d’un assemblage dans notre configuration ?

Recently I try to study the function ProAsmcompCreateCopy by C language, and always gotten the return of -26. After checking the menu, -26 means  PRO_TK_NOT_VALID   Required license not found. so would like to know does it need other special license for this function? thanks.

I've traced an image in Creo sketch, with the intention to extrude - remove the profile into the base part. The problem is, I believe, that some of the spline sketch entities are too small and it's causing a regeneration error when I try to extrude - solid. I can extrude - surface, but that isn't what I need here.   Larger scaled versions of this same sketch are able to extrude, which is why I'm assuming it has to do with the sketch entity size. I've already set my model properties - accuracy to as low as the system will allow.   Does anyone know of a work around or way to modify a sketch to get this to work?   Thanks!

I've been asked to update our license server from FlexLM 11.14 to FlexLM 11.16. We currently use Creo 4 and will continue as such. Is there a simple way to update the license server without breaking everything? Will my current license.dat file be compatible with the new version? How do I even go about getting the new version so I can install it?

I have a family table with 4 instances, one of the instances is for a specific customer and requires tighter tolerances. So when I manually add +/- 1 to one drawing it automatically appears on the other drawings. If I add to the dimensional text to say 150 "MAX" the MAX also shows up on the other drawings. Hi, I have certain questions pl. help me in getting solutions; 1) How to check that the installed creo (i have ptc 5.0) is installed with VB API or it supports VBA? 2) Through VBA i have to open the creo and set the working directory without going opening the creo manually is it possible through vba? 3) There is an assembly of 5 different components & each each component has different parameters (like family table but however i will not be making the family table) then is it possible to write program in excel vba to automatically replace parts with the existing part in the assembly?   Regards, Shubham Mehta

Example problem we are trying to solve.   I have a plate with 100 holes. This pattern of holes was created using a fill pattern.   I assemble a round tube into the 1st hole and fully constrain including a datum called "ANGLE".  This datum exists in the tube itself and is driven by a parameter.   I need that I need control the angle   Now, I want to pattern this tube but be able to into any of the tubes afterwards and adjust the angle by changing that plane in the tube.  All tubes used to be same angle so we would simply ref pattern and done. Now we need this control over each individual tube.   Is the best solution to create a UDF of the tube and assemble 1 at a time so the tube is it's own part for each hole?   Any other great ideas that cut down on the manual clicking and keeps the pattern a pattern?   Too bad we can't make a table and just vary the angle dimension across the pattern or by position.   Thanks!   Steve

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 M150Need assistance with installing Creo Parametic correctly on a Citrix server. I currently have the application installed, but when it is launched it hangs and eventually pops up a window that the app is not responding and prompts to end the process.

I'm creating a  solid sweep with a round cross section along a fitted curve through the attached points (units are METERS).  Unless the diameter is very small, the sweep fails.  Changing accuracy does not seem to help.  What is it that CREO is hung up on?

Hi,   I want to import a dxf_file with 8400 holes in it and extrude the curves. I clicked on File->Open-> (dxf-file) -> then I selected "part" ->open   The dxf-file is imported as a curves. I tried to project the curves to a new sketch, but its not a lot of fun to select 8400 curves one by one in the project-command.     Does anybody have a solution ?   Thanks, Maik

Hello,   I am trying to import our company logo into my sketch so that I can save it and reuse it or make a part (.prt) out of it. I have an .ai (adobe illustrator, not sure which version) and a .dxf which so far led to better results.   I read that there are ways to import an .dxf as an drawing base or whatever you choose in the software but I need it for an sketch.    What I´ve tried so far: import the .ai file (where I couldn´t see anything) - I can choose the file but can´t see the curves / lines / contours in Creo 6. After that I got an .dxf file which I imported in two ways: - in a sketch via "file system" - retrieving data which brought me the lines which I also can select but not make any profile out of it or use it for anything.   We live in 2020 - this can´t be that hard to use a simple three spelled logo...please help.  

Since Creo 5, I cant automate the export funtion anymore with a mapkey because I always want to export only solid models without surfaces. But in Creo 5, when exporting to STEP, you cant automatically have surfaces de-selected (it only works in one session). Does anyone have a proper mapkey compatible with Creo5 that tackles this?

I am exporting a flat sheetmetal view 1:1 to dxf to send to manufacturing.    Our manufacturing program is set up for certain geometry to be on certain layers.  I am using dxf_export.pro to map layers, with reasonable success. This file allows you to map a creo_layer to a layer in the dxf file that you define, typically a number in this case.   Issue is that creo allows a single feature to exist on two layers at the same time.  The mapping file maps these two layers to two different numbers.   Which will it export to?   In my experience I am only getting them to export to one of the layers.  I have tried reordering the lines mapping file and it had no effect.  Has anyone dealt with this and figured out how to definitively control it?     Why a feature to two different layers?-  The geometry in question is a cosmetic.  We use cosmetics on sheetmetal forms, the cosmetic is a simple shape, the mfg software rec
