I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) 7.0 7.0.0.0Importing a DWG file into sketcher which is very large (a lot of line, arc segments) and the message tells me it will take a long time with Intent Manager turned on. How do I turn this off temporarily so it wont try to resolve the sketch to try to dimension every single element? How do I turn off Intent Manager in Creo 7?Here are the errors that I faced You are attempting to import too many entities into Sketcher. With Intent Manager turned on, processing this amount of entities may take very long time. If you wish, you may hit the Select button to open a subwindow and select entities you wish to be imported
I am using Creo Parametric 2.0 M250Our inactive customer MOTRORRENS needs move his licenses to a new Host ID.
Pros, We installed CreoView on Horizon View VM, so we can run it as a virtual app. Now, the question is how to integrate it with Windchill to be default CreoView for viewing and markups? Any ideas are appreciated... Thanks
When I do a "Replace" in an assembly, the dialog box default is set to "Reference Model". I almost always use "Unrelated Component". Is there a way I can change the default setting?
I have created and saved a part in PTC Creo Parametric (Student Edition) and when I try to import the file into a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software the FEA software fails to open CAD file and shows 'Failed to load input file'. What is the reason of this? Is it because I am using Creo Student Edition?
Hi , I have created new Creo toolkit project , as I am new I don't know to debug the interaction DLL , if anyone know to debug , please help me Regards, Kunal

I can open STL files one by one but each time I open a different STL file Creo opens it on a new page. I want to open all STL files on a single page with a single operation. How can I do that?
Hi i am prem, After installing the Creo 4.0 there was promt showing 1. Environmental variable "LNXPARAMETERLST" 2. Error PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND 3. Startup of applicaation "LnxPLMUpdateParamsDLL" failed. For more information please refer the attachement. Guide me to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.
Hello experts, In Creo, when I do analysis of the part, the deformation is very high but the maximum stress in the component is less than the material's yield stress. Even when I increase the loads so much that the software gives error of very high deformation, the maximum stress is still less than the material's yield stress. Any explanations? Here I have chosen the material S355 of lugs (front plate) and applied force 194.5 kN at 45 degree at the top corner. here i attched my assembly file. my yield stress is 328 Mpa while S355 yield stregth is 345Mpa. but i dont under stand deformation is 68mm which is very high. Is there a smart solution to this problem?
I am using Creo Simulate 4.0 M060How to handle a thin (.001") part in the assembly for mesh creation?
Hello, I have 2 parts as shown below, ive made the parts so that the top sits flush with the bottom part. I want to be able to pivot the top part slightly so Its angle changes only by a couple of degrees either side. I've tried to use the cylinder mechanism however because my shape is more of an oval than a sphere, a collision occurs when i pivot the top part. Are there any other mechanisms that might work for this situation in order to pivot the top part without collisions? Thank you in advance!
Hello, I frequently try and streamline my workload in Creo through the use of mirroring. Why do the same work twice when you can leverage the mirror feature? This saves time on the front-end modeling, but catches up with you on the back-end detailing in the sense that it does not appear to be possible to show dimensions of a mirrored feature in a drawing. How then do you articulate that symmetry to the fabricator unless you add dimensions, which contradicts best practices and opens up the risk of dimensions "falling off drawings"? I prefer to model holes using extruded cuts for this reason; that is, I can mirror the hole features in a sketch and tailor my dimensioning scheme in the sketch so that it can be shown in the drawing downstream. However, this contradicts best practices because you should be using the hole tool for holes. Everyone seeing the pattern here?
Hello! So I have a big problem. Currently, I am using creo parametric and my assignment is to build hoisting gear. Right now I am at a stage where I assemble components. Which means I also download certain cad models or components from online websites (skf, part community, etc). My problem is the component that I have downloaded is somehow faulty? It lacks information, for example, does not have any axis, the unit is not in mm but in inch, and much more. Fyi, I just did the same things (like everything side by side) as my friends did and when I compared our model properties, mine is problematic and very different from theirs. This cause so much difficulty and stress to me. Please help me to fix this problem. Thank you!
I'm having a little bit of trouble with my cylinder mechanism in creo. The picture below will help to explain but basically I have managed to get it so the top part will pivot on a rotational axis but because I've used the cylinder, its also giving it a translational direction which I don't want, is there any way I can either get rid of the translation axis or maybe add a second constraint that will place the edge on part 1 coincident with my edge on part 2 so its fixed laterally? I have tried putting in translational constraints and setting the maximum and minimum to 0 but it wont let me do this. You can see from the picture that there's 2 red grab handles but I only want the rotation one.
How to designate parameters automatically using Model check ?
Hello, I wanted to create Lattice structure with dimensions 50x50x50mm. Dimensions of cell are 10x10x10 and cells starts on the corners. When I created this structure some of cells are still missing... Why ? This missing cells are random. If I regenerate structure (or recreate) others cells disappear. Why ? and how to fix it ? Thank you for your answer. Here is the screenshoot how it looks like:
I have searched for the functions to attach entity names to edge or face entities and Creo Parametric provides promising results for this kind of functionality. The problem is if I want to export a part in revisions after modifications. The names of the old entities get modified. One such case is shown in the figure.
Hello, I'm creating a motion skeleton to model a motion platform similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tSbAjnCR18 As you can see, there are ball joint end rods that connect the motor arms to the platform. I was able to model them using ball joints, but by doing so, I am unable to limit the rod from deviating off the same plane of motion as the motor arms (does that make sense??). I found a similar topic: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Constrain-Angular-Travel-of-Ball-Joint/td-p/185979. No one was able to give a solution but someone mentioned how I could use two perpendicular pins to control the range of motion between two perpendicular planes. I've been trying for a while to get it to work but I keep failing. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Thank you!
I am using Creo Parametric 6.0 6.0.4.0A Creo user is having an issue with his cache location. The PTC_WF_ROOT environment variable is set to D:\PTC_CREO6\cache. The 'start in' directory is set to D:\PTC_CREO6, and that's where the trail files are being created. Yet when he starts Creo an old cache location is still being used. We emptied both old and new cache locations, but the issue persists. What would be causing this?
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M190We have made 3D piping model, but in 2D drawing bending co-ordinates not getting updatedHere are the errors that I faced No error
Is anyone aware of how to change the default focus of the layer properties dialogue box? The workflow is more complex than what I am laying out below but this is the essence of an impediment to implementation. This is another example of where it would be great if the UI customization could be controlled in creo_parametric_customization.ui file but I do not see way way to implement it. A mapkey may be possible to shift focus but I would like to control it with config setting. If I were to use a mapkey it would be nested sequence to invoke the layer dialogue box. Use case of interest. Manual selection of features from the model tree or graphics window in part mode 1) Activate the layer tree and choose a layer and select properties from RMB 2) User interaction is required to shift the focus to the layer contents tab 3) Manually select items to add to layer I want to be able to set the default focus to the contents tab not the layer name but the contents tab to enable im
Having an issue where my socket-head metric screw menu is blank even though the .dat file has dozens of options. There are three other screw types in my 'mm' catalog: low head, flat, and round. Those three files work fine (and are built the same as the socket head). I cannot figure out the how and why. I will include my files There are no options for THREAD in the SHCS-MM window. All three other sizes work/ match the .dat file.
When applying fasteners (non-preloaded screws) to this model, strange stress results occur (see below). From what I can tell the fasteners where applied in a similar manner. So, I would expect their reactions to be the same. I have seen this behavior before on other types of fasteners (i.e. preloaded bolts). Any thoughts on where I could be making a mistake?
I'm having an issue with the model annotation dimensions lines not printing solid. It doesn't happen with the added dimensions, it's specific to the model annotations (as seen in the screenshots - bottom dimension is model annotation, dimension directly above is added). The lines are shown as solid in CREO but when printing to PDF, it prints with gaps in the line. Any ideas as to what's happening?
