Hi I have model object and want to convert it to relation owner object for weblink. How to get the same?
Hello, please tell me how to use the JAVA API to connect to Windchill?
Hello, Thanks for helping me out earlier, I was hoping if someone can help on this. What I need is to list down all dependencies of a Drawing, currently I am using model.ListDependencies(), but it only lists top-level.For example, Drawing ____Assembly ____________Model 1 ____________Model 2 Currently I only get Assembly, not Model 1 and Model 2. I just need the filenames of sub-models. Thanks
So I put a hole in, want to annotate it with the dowel symbol. I go to the model add symbol. The problem is I have to reorientate it to the plane and add in the diameter. Is there anyway around this?
A customer asked us which requirements a laptop needs to run Creo simulate smoothly. The customer runs dynamic analysis and can run for more than 12 hours. What uses Creo simulate to make simulations is this: CPU power (1 or multiple cores), RAM or graphic card? His colleagues have Dell laptops with intel xeon W-10855M 2.8 Ghz, 64 Gb RAM and Nvidia quadro T1000 4Gb is this enough for running fast simulations? Are there some settings like the allocation memory that could help to speed up his simulations?
I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M170Not able to retrieve the fasteners in the large assembly, the system is taking too long for the retrieval.
Hi everyone, I have successfully developed a jlink Async app for CREO, and it is working perfect. What I need is that whenever I start CREO Parametric the app should be started too. Currently, I need to run the app through Netbeans, and then CREO is started via the code. So, is there any way I can register the async app globally so whenever CREO is started, my app is started along. Please respond! Thanks
Hello A big headache once it is toolkit and Balloons..! 🙂 AFAIK, there is no API for Creo generated Balloons using repeat region...We can get variable text if balloons are created using custom symbol.... Now, we have come across scenario where user is creating balloon note (Table-->Balloons-->Balloon Note).we would like to iterate all the balloon notes in drawing. Same are getting collected from API ProDrawingDtlnotesCollect(). But obviously , this API collects all note, not only balloon note. Query is how to filter balloon note from notes? Any suggestions on this would be very helpful. Thanks a lot for your time and help...!
Hello We do have model check for burried feature checking. However , would like to opt for toolkit solution of same. Can any one please suggest pointers for same to implement identification of burried feature? I am having Creo 4.0 M130.
Hi all, For extrude and revolve features that have sections defined as an external sketch, then one is able to "swap out" their sections by specifying a different external sketch. Super easy to do via "edit references" of the feature: However, I can't base a family table or make a flexible component instance based on varying what external sketch a feature uses. Am I missing something?
I wanted to reach out to the community to ask if anyone has information they can share on how long a designer takes to create a CAD model and the CAD Drawing. I know this is a loaded question with many variables; complexity, quality and experience of designer....and so on. Lets level set to average all across the board. I can develop an internal questionnaire with my business and come up with numbers as well but wanted to get more of a industry standard number from the community and ask if anyone has already done such a study. Thanks in advance for any information you may have and willing to share in this thread.
I cant' figure out the correct equation to drive the wing outside diameter and wing inside diameter for this part. (I will attach the part file) Image 1 - This is the part bent. The part wings should be fitting into the vertical surface walls. Image 2 - Just for a visual reference. Image 3 - View showing that the bent wing is falling outside of the inside and outside radius. (It should be inside of them) Image 4 - View showing the sketch and relations driving the part. I'm open to other methods as long as I can flatten it and that the flat pattern drawing will let me place dimensions on the arcs. Thank you for your help
Hi, Have top-level assembly where 2 square groove welds contained in sub assembly 2 levels down fails when opened in the top-level assembly. The weld have no errors in the sub assembly or geom-checks they were created in while that assembly is opened or the next higher level assembly is opened.Welds are shown in attached image. Unfortunately, I'm not able to upload or show the the models that I'm working with. The welds have the following error message: FEATURE #12 (GROOVE WELD) failed regeneration. Feature geometry is not up-to-date. Would anyone have any ideas what's causing the lower level welds to possibly fail?Any ideas related to another way to create the solid welds I'm trying to create? Thanks for any help you can provide! Don A
Hello all, I am currently working on a device that has a temperature sensor inside a sealed plastic case. The sensor is not touching the case so there is an air gap. How can I simulate the transient thermal response of the sensor to a change in the external temperature?
Hello. Is there any way to get current user's working directory path like C://work/Creo3/UserName using JLink? Thank you.
Is there any way to check if all the components in an assembly have a density assigned to them?
I am using Creo Parametric 6.0 6.0.5.1What is the exactly behavior of the config option: "system_window_run_in_background"
Is there a way to bulk modify certain parameters when sketching? For example, I have four parallel lines, and I want all of them to be 20 mm apart (equidistant). I was hoping to be able to select/highlight all four lines (or the dimensions), then click on the NORMAL button and change all four dimensions in one stroke (please see picture attached)... Unfortunatelly, it does not work like that -- for four lines it is not a big deal, but if you have hundreds of these lines to align like this, such a shortcut would be a tremendous productivity trick! P.S. I chose the label forced by the system, could not find a SKETCHING label so I took the one that sounded close...
This might be a simple question - sorry I am new to creo. I have imported a couple of iges files and it seems that during the processing, creo is renaming both the part and assembly part numbers. Is there anything in the settings that I am missing? Thanks.
Hi Guys, is there a way to change the order of windows in the drop-down menu to activate a Creo-window? I quite often have a part or assemby active and when I close the window of this part or assy, Creo opens the part or assembly which is the last one in the list.It would be better if creo will activate the window which was activated before I activated the window which I closed. This means that Creo needs to change the order in the list, each time you activate a specific window.
In the layout if I create a template to have the three standard views, is there some way to make them automatically scale to stay within the sheet?
Hi all, Is there a way to pre-select the "Capped Ends" option when extruding a surface? I tried to look in the config.pro list but couldn't find anything suitable.
I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M120non legge licenza
In the full list of creo config options I do not see schematics. is there a list?
Hi Guys, Lets say I have an assembly. In the assembly I have a core, and cavity. In the assembly I want to make a layer called "core". I then select the core to put it on the layer. Now i can hide and unhide with that layer. Great. Where i have an issue is now in the model tree the core is grayed out (when layer "core" is hidden. What i found is if I unhide this in the model tree, I can no longer hide and unhide in the layer tree. What the hell. Its almost like once I say show in model tree, it over writes the ability to layer hiding and unhiding. My Creo 3 did not do this. BUT it also did not gray out the parts in the model tree when I hide a layer with them on it. Can I stop things from getting grayed out in the model tree when I hide them on a layer? (like how our Creo 3 was working?) Then maybe no one will ever try and unhide a grayed out part that was on a hidden layer. Jay
