What version of Vericut should be included with Creo 3 M010? It is using 7.1.5 on my system. I thought it was supposed to move up to 7.3.

Hello,I'm discovering the new volume milling with Creo 3. I have a volume milling which contains 24 regions. I would like to reorder them like in Creo 2, I mean by picking directly in the window. It looks like, we're supposed to use the two arrows you can see in the image below but it's really not efficient ! Any idea to do this the old way ? Hi all,I have been working on some heavy engineering problems and need some good reference to try out load analysis softwares and tutorials.From what I have learnt so far, dynamic analysis of load is not feasible due to the random nature of real world environments so the best we can do is try to model a static load which is 4 times the maximum possible load applicable to a machine. But there is no data on how and where to apply loads and constraints. Good morning everybody,I have a question about the managing of 3D models. We are a plastic industry company and we make our molds.When we make a mold, we have a 3D model of plastic article in CREO, then We apply a Shrinkage and have parts of mold. Then manufacture all the mold parts, assemble and test until desired plastic parts. Often the obtained plastic parts in the injection process does not coincide with the plastic article drawing but these plastic parts are good for our customers. In this moment, We edit manually the dimensions in the drawing and then our customer approve this specification drawing.The problem is that the plastic article 3D model does not coincide with the drawing dimensions. Could you know about the best practice to manage this situation?We think that our current practice is not good because We are losing the system (CREO)association and is difficult to manage the changes, We have problems for human carelessness.We appreciate a lot your help.Have a nice day.Thi

Good morning, I am trying to figure out which to go with for my department. I wentto IMTS last week and was set on going with Vericut after I got back fromthe show. At the show I saw the NCSimul software and was blown away at thespeed and all the neat features that was in that package. Example if thereis a collision in the program I can click on the collision in the graphicswindow and the section of the program will also be highlighted. I was reallyimpressed with how you can rotate the model while it is still cutting andnot have to wait for it to regen like in Vericut. The presentation from theNCSimul was really informative compared to the Vericut booth. When I wentover to the Vericut booth to ask for information on their software, all Igot out of them was that NCSimul was running another developers source code,the verification is calculated and lack of support.Currently we are using the embedded light version of Vericut inside ofProMAN and I was planning to upgrade to the full version

Anyone out there using software to control the release and distribution of CNC files to the machines? Specifically, I am looking for companies that need to maintain history, and release control such as FDA, DOD, FCC or other requirements. I have searched several forums and cannot find an answer to this. This question is specific to a PART, not an assembly. Is there a way to calculate the mass properties of a part for a given simplified representation? I need this information when making a drawing package for an assembly - certain features (holes, finished surfaces) are not represented in the part or weldment drawing, but are later shown in the final machining drawing. I do not think family tables are a good fit here as this does not change the overall part or assembly of parts in the model, I just need to show representations of the parts at different stages in the manufacturing process and their associated weights.   I have seen two config options for this, force_new_assem_mp_in_simp_rep and mass_property_calculate but this seems to only reflect assemblies, not individual parts or part drawings. We recently updated from Creo 2.0 to 3.0 F000. Now I cannot locate the custom trajectory toolpath. I can fake it using a regular 3-axis trajectory, but custom trajectory did a better job of integrating the sketch into the step. It would be nice to have back. PTC's new option for the 3 axis trajectory Helical Cut tool motion will not create a desirable tool path when the parameter OVERTRAVEL_DISTANCE value is greater than ZERO. I have a volume with an angled top. I have set the angled surface to be the "top surface" in the toolpath settings. When I try to run a volume rough on it, the tool drops down until it fits all the way into the volume, putting it around a half inch deep on the one side. Looking around through the Creo 3.0 help documents online, I believe that the manufacturing parameter fix_skipped_slices is what I need to use to fix that. Problem being I can't find that parameter. Would somebody be able to guide me to it? Is it only IE and Mozilla that will work with Creo or can you use Chrome. What versions of IE work? My new install of OS has IE V11. I got new hard drive in my machine and now I can not see whindchill in my browser after I start up. I can register the server, and login but my status line at the bottom says that an install of Product View express was started and nothing happens in the browser window. I get a rotating pin wheel and that is all. Wow,Quite a Different Look to the icons and the new trajectory is nice and clean looking. I like it so far. I almost have a die complete in Pro Mold.I only have one problem, and that is that I can’t seem to move the imported solid objects which is important.In our industry we have to mismatch the top die impressions independent of the bottom die impressions.If I do a copy and move of the solid component for the top die it attempts to keep both of the solids. I can’t remove the original solid by hiding it. I can’t delete the original solid without unhinging the die model.I just need to offset the top impressions and get rid of their original location in the top die.Would you have an idea of how I could accomplish this?It appears that you are stuck with the original position that you import the reference model. If there isn't a work around for this problem which should be simple I'm afraid ProMold is going to be worthless to us. We've only really used Project for sharing a copies of files with end consumers. For example the manufacturing shops.We are now looking at using it for a more collaborative process.We have two classes of users.A. Those that have access and modification permissions to files in the ProductB. Those that only have access to a ProjectUser A will share files to a Project from a Product. That user B will use to develop other files. Good morning, I am on Creo 2 M110 and notice that when defining drilling sequencethat these big red arrows show the direction of the path but they hide thedepth path. I want to create a groove on a cylinder as shown in the image. I create the groove path and wrapped on the cylinderI am using sweep to create the groove, if i select normal to trajectory the sweep cut is created on cylinder. but for manufacturing i want to create the cut normal to center axis.if i choose normal to projection and select ctr axis sweep feature failing. I'm trying to model similar indentions on the side of a part using surfaces but it is not going to well. I came somewhat close to what I wanted a few times but I'm never able to put rounds on the indention I create.
