I am using Mathcad Prime 7.0 7.0.0.0Simple Question: in the attached how do I make the plot with the y-axis with the minimum value at the top of the plot and the max value lower? In MS Excel this is called "plot y-values in reverse order"
to all I am trying to compare set of data and I imported it as a csv. file. Essentially a "matrix" of Nrow =300,000 by 60 columns. The data represents combined (aggregated) csv files (300000x4) Mathcad 15 is struggling and I got an 'out of memory error' Short of using a different software any advice on manipulating large matrices in mathcad 15? I am going to do a test using the 4th column of data from each file Regards
I do not know what I am missing but the solve block in Mathcad Prime is not giving me the answers I am looking for. Can someone please help. Worksheet is attached
Hi Community friends, Please see the attached calculation sheet, in which I descripted my question. Appreciates... This problem had been haunting my mind for a long time The revision is Mathcad 15.0 (M050 []). My OS is Win 10 family basic. Thanks
I am using Mathcad Prime 7.0 7.0.0.0Have taken the Mathcad and am new user, kindly help me out in using the electrical library with Mathcad prime version 7.0
Good morning everyone, how can I make the calculated value of the symbolic solution coincide with the numerical one of the given transcendent equation? (Imposing with the assumption that 20 <x <30 it falls into an endless loop ) I thank
Hello everyone, how do i get the same solutions of the system in two differential equations, changing the odesolve algorithm since they vary as it changes? It's possible? I thank you all. Greetings.
Hi, I've been asked to convert a mathcad sheet for my work (why most of the attached worksheets are collapsed and locked, sorry, although everything that is relevant shouldn't be) and I'm having difficulty with a particular line which then leads into an xy plot. The xy plot is saying that there are too many range variables in prime 7, however it works in version 15. I'm unsure if what I think is the reason for the error is correct (as it does apply to both the x and y axis functions and so maybe would cancel itself out) although to me it seems the most likely: The error is that in mathcad 15, it seems to serialise all of AzD and Vr for q=0 first, then q=1, etc. However prime 7 for some reason is serialising each of the 5X1 matrices instead, and I can't figure out how to make it act like mathad 15 instead. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ps there is a differen
Hello all, I need help please with fourier analysis and the following problem: I can create my periodical time-signal f(t). --> Please see 1) and 2) in the attached file I also found the mathcad example from help menu for fourier analysis for calculating the fourier coefficients and plotting the graph. --> Please see 3a) in the attached file 1) For the following step I need a spectral analysis, means I need the amplitude spectrum and ideally a plot like this : 2) Afterwards I want to multiply the amplitude spectrum with an given impedance Z(s) to obtain the output voltage ripple I hope you can help, thanks in advance
I am a student of Politechnika Krakowska from Poland and I can't use student licence for Mathcad.
Hello, I have been trying to work out how to change the units from Joules to MegaJoules/Giga Joules in the question below. When I change this it has "The variable is undefined, check the label set correctly" So the answer should be 279 MJ/hr Is this a matter of changing something in the settings or assigning this vaue? I have seen other problems with MJ and GJ so know it can be done. Thanks
Hi, I've recently been tasked with updating some Mathcad sheets from version 15 to Prime 7 and have noticed something that has confused me. (Unfortunately as they aren't my sheets and I'm only upgrading them I don't have full permission to upload the mathcad files but I can send some screenshots, but anyways) Using the following equation, on dropping the subscript [ j, jw after the α, they both give the same identical matrix. However, when reintroducing the [ j, jw subscript (sorry I don't know the proper term, again I'm just converting the files - the maths itself is beyond me), the output in Mathcad 15 is different from Prime 7. In Prime 7, it creates a vector starting from the first row of α, and then from the second and then third row etc. However, for 15, it creates a vector starting from the first column of α, and then the second and the third etc. Is this something that was changed in the update that I'm not aware of
Help please with plotting. TXT and Prime 7 file ATTACHED. Help also with adding data to a matrix Please see the end of Mathcad file for where I am a bit stuck. Thank you.
I am having trouble getting the 30-day license to activate. Every time I try to load the get license part of the wizard it fails and tells me to check the website which didn't help. If you could help me get the license activated that would be great. Thank you for your time.
Hello, i have a Belgium azerty keyboard and several shortcuts don't work. how can i change the shotcuts to resemble my keyboard?I assume that in the 10 years knowing about this problem it has been fixed! It has already been reported in 2011. I read Italian and German has the same problem. https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad/Mathcad-prime-1-0-bug-with-keyboard-shortcuts-with-Italian/m-p/291809
This PTC Mathcad Prime 9 worksheet uses a simple physics problem to provide introductory information on some important fundamentals of Mathcad. The principles covered in this worksheet are at the core of using Mathcad, and should be helpful for those who are new to Mathcad and just getting started. Please note that this is not intended to be an in-depth tutorial, and therefore won't provide details on every mouse click and keyboard entry. There are tutorials available in the Getting Started tab on the ribbon, so if you find yourself needing a little extra explanation, the tutorials would be a good resource.
I'm relatively new to Mathcad but I enjoy the program very much and I need some help. I would like to program the following section but I have no idea where to begin. Your help will be appreciated. Regards,
Hey there, I am attaching the screenshot of an error that Math cad prime shows. Can anyone tell in detail what does that error mean? It says "this function requires at least 3 arguments but is applied to 2"
Fourier analysis. For those interested in the subject, I propose forty-one periodic functions.
Hello I'm new to Mathcad and have just taken over a file from someone at work. It runs fine but I am stuck manually copy pasting the results into an excel sheet. I want to automate the process and have tried using the WRITEEXCEL function but I can't seem to get it to work. See attached photo. I believe it has something to do with the function qp(z) not being a matrix or array but I'm not sure. I've also tried defining M:=qp(z) and using M in the WRITEEXCEL function but that gave me a "variable is not defined error".
I am working on a calculation sheet to design a bridge deck overhang. The last check I need to do is to calculate the cutoff length of the supplemental bars that are used. In order to do this, you need to solve/find the location where the applied moments become less than the moment resistance of the overhang without the supplemental bars. The only way I can think to achieve this is to use a solve block, however, this becomes a problem if/when the applied moments are less than moment resistance at the cutoff location. See the images below. For this example the variable Mr_co is the moment resistance at the cut-off location. I have set up functions to calculate the ultimate strength moments for 2 different cases. As you can see by the graph, the ultimate strength moment for the one case does not quite reach the cut-off moment resistance. I would like to set up the solve block so that if/when this happens, the return is 0, but I am not sure if this is possib
I am using Mathcad Prime 7.0 7.0.0.0I have a curve generated using a trace that connects plotted x,y points. How can I use Mathcad to calculated the area under that curve?
Hello everyone!I was not sure which topic to put this in, but I am trying to define my own units. This is a unit of cost per mass in analysing freight rates. i.e. My desired unit is to measure freight in £ per tonne. Is this possible?ThanksAndy
I finded the answer for the exercise but I don't know how plot a 3D for the solid of revolution of answer.
I've noticed that several posts have recently been unavailable when I've tried to access them by following a link in my email notifications. Not being able to see them, I have had no idea why the posts were removed. However, the most recent moved the post linked below to RemovedContent and I have no idea why an old post with a handful of responses has suddenly become a target for moderation. The post asked if there were any ways to convert Mathcad to some standard programming language. The action seemed to have been triggered by somebody posting a link to a Mathcad-to-C# converter. Removal seems an overly heavy-handed action to me. Several of us have looked at and manipulated the structure of Mathcad worksheets for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to: worksheet repair, worksheet automation and expression-to-readable-equation conversion. All, as far as I'm concerned, legitimate
