Hello Everyone, I need to insert some random numbers in table and to do so there was an option in earlier versions of ptc mathcad which is demonstrated in given link - https://www.mathcadhelp.com/entering-a-table-of-numbers-12248 but right now it is not working in my ptc mathcad prime 4.0. Need some suggestions on how to insert the x values to each point in a defined range. Thanks

Hello everyone, I have a function composed of inner products of tensors. I wonder how can I do partial differentiation of this function with respect to one of the tensors symbolically?
How can I solve for teta.
Hello, I am trying to install MathCad 4.0 but after downloading the file, starting the installation assistant and agreeing the software agreement I am unable to proceed any further. No options come up for me to choose so I can't install the software. Any advice would be grateful 🙂 Scott
Hi Mathcaders 🙂 While waiting for PTC to finally give us Prime 5, I am working on a worksheet for the analysis of the natural frequencies of a generalized beam in Prime 4. Here is my problem: I want to write a generalized Mathcad worksheet that can be used to find the nth free-vibration natural frequencies of a beam with nth DOF. The DOF's arise because the beam can be arbitrarily divided into i number of beam elements with i+1 number of nodes and with any defined supports at any defined positions on the beam. I have done this before, however, my worksheet is very limited to a cantilever beam, divided into 3 beam elements. I know what the stiffness matrix of a beam element is, and what its mass matrix as well is. I know how to **manually** assemble the stiffness and mass matrices for up to 3 beam elements...though the assembled matrices get really large and cumbersome to handle, since I basically add in an "analog manner" the individual stiffness matrices of the beam ele
We have tried to solve this problem. Let do it one more - help me please to find not numeric (see please the picture and the Mathcad 15 sheet in attach) but symbolic value of this constant! As any closed (implicit) formula - as here
Hi all, I currently trying to write a condition so that based on what an excel file provides to Mathcad, "Yes" if there are variables, "No" if there isn't any variables. The goal is that instead of have multiple writes to Excel I can go to 1 write. However there is no way currently to predetermine how many circuits will be needed. So my plan is for Mathcad to get a variable from excel to determine if there is any content in the variables and if not load a 0 in its place.
Hi, I was wondering if there is an option to program when in a formula I can raise to power only the numeric value and not the units. I hope this makes sense. I couldn't find any similar situation in the forum. Please see photo inserted below: I would like to be able to use m (from photo) in a formula but only raise to the 2/3 power the number and not the units. There's probably an easy fix and I can't find it. I have attached a file with the example in the snapshot. Thank you M
Hi again. Help me please. How can i combine this squire roots by mathCad?: I was try simplify + assum, ALL>0, but it working only with squire roots multiplications.
Hello, my calculations deliver the correct units. 1. Actual, I calculate the Value of an inductance, the result is approx. 10µH. The mathcad result is shown as 1 x 10-5 H. Can I format the result to µH ? 2. When I calculate the speed of voltage rise, I expect the result in V/s, but I get m2 x kg /( s4 x A) (try to calculate 4V / 2s ) Is it possible to simplify the units? greetings
Dear helpers, I am quite new to Mathcad and have the following question using the minimize optimization in Mathcad15. I would like to calculate the maximum of deformation of a loaded plate (=minumum of plate equation). Therefor I use a plate equation w(x,y) with several parameters (force and force location (x and y)) for several time steps by adding an Excel component. (Each time step has a set of these three parameters.) I was able to calculate the minimum for each of these steps seperate but my goal is to use the minimize optimization for w(x,y) dependent on the parameters so that the solution is a vector consisting of the several minimums for each parameter set. I appreciate any kind of help. Thank you!
Hi. Example. I have this formula: V = S/t V - speed S - distance t - time I don't know values, but i want to find formula for find S. How can i do it with mathcad? Can mathcad give me result like this: S -> V*t
I'm using Mathcad Prime 3.1. But can't see how to make a sub-script in a text area. Any pointers would be most appreciated. Thanks in anticipation,Ian Williams
Hi to all, Looking for some help from anyone with experience in fatigue calculations. I have the attached problems as part of an assignment but the supporting literature I have been given is not overly helpful. Essentially I think that I have either done some of the programming incorrectly or equally likely my units are wrong. As I suggest, the material I am working from is pretty light in explaining the units. Any help appreciated. Andy.
Hi. How can I solve for this ?
Hello everyone I try to draw a function several times on the same graph, but with a displacement "dx" on the axis of the abscissa as shown in the attached document. I hope you can help me.
How can a eliminate the numbers after the decimal without rounding off it. Please do help
Hello Everyone, I am an electronics engineer who has just started with Mathcad v15. I work on a sheet which calculates total power dissipation in a power supply. I have many input variables which help me to get the desired information - total power dissipation (Ptot) and predicted efficiency (Eff). So far, the calculation sheet works well. The struggle: Now, I would like to vary some input parameters and see in a plot how total efficiency change. For example, I want a plot with Iout on the x-axis and Eff on the y-axis. I have already spent half a day by googling but could not come up with a solution. Could someone review the sheet and come with a proposal how to make a Eff vs Iout plot, please? I expect that I need to somehow turn my equation into a function (numerical vs symbolic engine). PS: A tip what to search on the forum will do too.I am not lazy 🙂 Best Regards, Jiri
Hello, Everyone. From : Thanks in advance.
Hello, Everyone. From : Thanks in advance.
I need to solve these ODEs using MathCAD Prime 2.0. Image of the ODEs is attached. With initial and end boundary conditions: vf (0)= 0.2 xf (0)= 0.011 Pf (0.34 @ end/exit) = 1.01*10^5 Tf (0) = 80 Thanks!
When I try to insert a control (such as a text box or list box) in Mathcad 15.0 nothing happens. I was able to do this in MC14, and worksheets created in MC14 or saved in MC 15 with these items work correctly. MC15 just can't create them. Is this a known bug in MC15?
Is their more smart way to solve ODE question No. 2 by Mathcad Prime 4.0? My answer is attached. T.Tokoro.
