With Creo Illustrate, is it possible to export sections with hatched section faces as a vectorial PDF, including the hatching? In other words, in the exported PDF all lines, including the hatching, should be vector lines, not bitmaps?
Hello,Is it possible to create a callout within an inset? So the leader line should end within the inset area. Now, when I select an object within the inset and attach a callout to it, then the leader line of the inset points to the corresponding object in the main model, but not to the part within the inset. Because the inset is much more detailed it is better visible where the leader line of the callout points to.We use this functionality a lot within our company, so this question is quite important to us.Thanks in advance for your answer!
Is there a detailed tutorial on how to create and use explode lines? Explode lines are not intuitive and and seem sprout from unlikely places.. which makes them a PIA. i never end up using them and end up creating my own...
Hello all, as I have learned here in the forum 😀, and which also works very well 👍, if I want to show only a small area of a model, I proceed as follows: 1. I define a 3D page and place the model next to it. Then I create a detail that I place on the 3D page. I hide the connecting line. My problem now: I want to show an enlargement (detail) of this section. 2. I can now show a detail, but the detail aerea is on the model next to my page. 3. when I move the detail area to my detail, it is empty. Question: Is it possible to create a detail view of a detail view? If so, how? Thanks and best regardsRamon.
Hello Community, If I open an assembly from Windchill in Creo View and add annotations and/or save annotation sets to the assembly: Will the engineer see these annotations/sets in his Creo Parametric when he continues to work on the assembly? RegardsDavid
Hello all,I don't know if I understood correctly the handling and organization of the "standards". That's why I tested a little bit. If possible, please comment on what I have done and asked: 1. I have created with my own individual standard "Ramon-Standard-01", in which I copied the "Creo Standard" and then extended and adapted it. 2. when creating new CI, I have selected my standard "Ramon-Standard-01" before linking the pvz file. 3. all further changes and additions in "Ramon-Standard-01" I have made with the administration tool. 4. when reopening a CI whose standard is "Ramon-Standard-01", the Ci takes over all changes made to the "Ramon-Standard-01" (and reported it in a small window).--> Important: The time stamp of the changed "Ramon-Standard-01" has to be younger than the time stamp of the "Ramon-Standard-01" from the CI! 5. alternatively a batch run can be executed for the update of a CI. But the batch run is really only necessary if you want to upd
Is there a location where all the various versions and what their updates entail ?
Hi all, sometimes I get a render image shift (displacement) on the 2D figure (see attchement). Any idea why? Until now I could allways move the render image back into its correct position and everything is fine. But solving the problem would be my prefered way 🙂 Thanks a lot and best regardsRamon Bohne
Expect to obtain the Creo Elements / Direct Modeling configurations of the subassemblies in the Preset Explode of Creo View Description:In the help you can read that "You can use the Preset Explode function only if the source data has top-level explode states defined". This is the structure on Creo Elements / Direct Modeling. The objects are stored in Windchill. The visualization of Sub-Assy1 is a monlith visualization and the visualization of the Top-Level-Assembly /Tops-Assy is a strutcure visualization. Only the Modeling configruation off the Top-Level-Assembly is available in Creo View in the Preset Explode We also expect to obtain the modeling configurations of the subassemblies in the Preset Explode of Creo View
Following is a frequent use case for me:An assembly is opened in Creo View from Windchill. The assembly contains various annotation sets. Now the assembly is saved from Creo View to the local hard drive as a PVZ file. In this process, all annotation sets are lost. Is there any way to save the PVZ file locally including the existing annotation sets?
I am trying to export an exploded view out of Creo Parametric 7.0 into Creo View format but for whatever reason it will not create the exploded state. I have tried doing the export from Creo Parametric when the model is in both the exploded and unexploded states and I have tried opening the model with both Creo View Lite 4.1 and Creo View Standard (I believe it was 4.0). No matter what I try the model I see in Creo View is always the unexploded state and the "Preset Explode" button is greyed out. Does anyone know what the issue might be and why I can't get the export to work?
I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0We recently upgraded from 4.0 to 7.0. In 4.0 when we exported a design as a pdf if we were to open the pdf in Adobe Acrobat Pro and edit text the text was editable as an entire entity such as a sentance/paragraph.In 7.0 if we edit the text the same way all text now are separate entities and each individual letter/word has to be changed separately.
I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0One of our customer ILENSYS TECHNOLOGIES PVT.LTD (#606613) is having Creo Schematics recently purchased ,they are having Creo Software Version 9-0-2-0, when i am going to rev up the version 7.0 to latest version ,it showing the popup error like (error if you want perform this action, please Log a Case),
In Creo Illustrate 9.1, is there a way to save the sBOM coordinate and rotation states that I have at the end of a sequence step? It can be something I have to set-up before I create the step. I'm just hoping for this functionality, so that I have some kind of workaround for an issue I'm having - I've already submitted a ticket for the issue.
Hello all, I'm still having trouble arranging my exported images in a reasonable way. Example:I want to exoprt an image that should be 10cm wide (at 300dpi = 118 pixels/cm). 1.) Previous procedure:- Adjust the window approximately to the target size of the image (attachment “Bild-01.jpg”).- Export the image with the desired width (10cm) and resolution (118 pixels/cm). Problems:- The export size usually matches the target size in only one direction. Most of the time, the exported image must be cropped at least in the second direction.- The fit of the image in the window is lost if the shape of the window is changed. Correspondingly, the image will no longer have the originally desired size (attachment “Bild-02.jpg”). So window and representation must ALWAYS be adjusted manually.- The position numbers and labels vary in size depending on how large the exported image is (e.g. wide 10cm or 15cm). 2.) Alternative procedure (attachment “Bild-03.jpg”😞- Defining a "pa
Hello, unfortunately I have a next problem: I just noticed that when I export images, the stroke widths are different when I make a display with and without page setup. So far I have always exported images by fixing the model in the window and then setting the desired image width (e.g. 17.5 cm) with resolution 300dpi (118 dots per cm) when exporting. The result is an image with a pixel width 17.5cm x 118dpcm = 2065 pixels. In the meantime I found out that it is more convenient to define a page size. And that you can define your own page sizes with the administration tool. So I defined a page with the dimensions 17,5x11cm and set it later. When exporting the image I only had to set the resolution 118dpcm and I also got an image of the pixel width 17,5cm x 118dpcm = 2065 pixels. So both images are the same size in the result. For both images the pen thicknesses Thick = 0,2mm and Thin = 0,1mm were set. Problem:The exported line thicknesses are different. The e

I'm having a problem where every time I save a .c3di file and need to open it again, the figures are no longer in the same state I left them in. When I go into the sequence steps, parts of the model have moved around to different incorrect positions. What is causing this and how can I fix it? I have had to start over twice now, thinking that it was something that I did.
Hi, Is there any option or workaround to export all figures into single PDF file? For example, i have combination of Figures, Some 3D Figures and many 2D Figures. All i want is to combine all figures in single PDF file. In publishing option it combines all pages in single file, but in .pvz file and can be viewed through Creo View only. My concern is same i want it in PDF file extension. Please help me out if any workaround is there. Regards,Jignesh.

Can I make a duplicate of a part and have it in the sbom? Example assembly didn't contain allscrews so I need to add one..
Hello,I have two question about creating views in Creo Illustrate.1.) Is it possible to create a kind of interrupted or collapsed view (or what I shou call it) to push large parts together (example: View1 and View2)?2.) Is it possible to display only a part of a view, so that it is still possible to place position numbers (callouts) on the left and right (example: View3 and View4)? Thanks and greetingsRamon Bean
I have this callout that appears out in space. I need to relocate it but dragging the leader does nothing. I've deleted the callout and added it again but it always ends up way out. How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Hi, We work with Inventor for 3D modelling and when these models are viewed in CreoView Lite, it opens upside down by default. Which setting do I need to change in CreoView to open models with the Z-axis pointing upwards?
