Hello, I'm trying to get CREO 2.0 up and running on my home pc (not an apple product) so I can do assigned work, and I need a license number. I downloaded the free student copy.

We have a problem with the version 2.0 of Creo. With the former version we have (Wildfire 4), some information were included into the files (.prt, .dwg and .asm) to know which person worked on the file and when. This information is very useful since with homework, we can verify if students exchange files or if they work on their own file. When we open a file made with Wildfire 4 (or older version) into a WordPad, there is a section called P_OBJECT in which we find all the information. We have developed a Perl script to open files, parse lines, and output the relevant data. With class of 150 students, with homework every week, with an average number of files around 12 per student per week, having a script that parse all the files automatically is very useful. Now we have a problem. Files made with Creo 2.0 don’t have the P_OBJECT section anymore. We are unable to parse the files and identify students who have cheated. We would like to have a solution. I have a assembly with family table instances as a sub componentsWhenever I tried to save a copy of the assembly with new names. i cant find the installation guide for creo 3.0 student edition i already download and install the program but i dont have the license to run properly the program any help?

I'm using creo 3.0 student ed, and I cannot get the ribbon auto-hide function to turn off. The minimize ribbon button on the top right is faded out, along with the option on the rmb menu. ctr+F1 doesn't work, nor does double clicking one of the tabs. any thoughts?

I have the correct liscence code etc. correct version for my computer, but it always saids ptc intallation assistant has stopped working when I click next to move on from the lisencing tab, to go to the application selection tab

Does anyone know how to activate the welding feature, Simulate or Mold Layout in the student edition of Creo 3.0? I have it in the applications tab but when I click "welding" or "Mold Layout", the tools do not come up. Program writes to me: "Please check Licensing". And "Simulate" does not respond. Why?Ideas?

When I want to run a Creo Parametric 2.0 it shows me next text: "Windows needs the file parametric.exe", and suggest me to show the way to this file. It must be in C:/Program Files/PTC/Creo 2.0/Parametric/bin but isn't there. Also there are another files called parametric, but only parametric.psf and parametric.bat. Parametric.exe is missing. I've already reinstalled it more than 3 times and it doesn't help.

In past years, RWDC provided the means to estimate total weight. How exactly are we supposed to go about calculating the weight of the different components of our aircraft, including the wing and fuselage?

What would be the maximum size the aircraft can exceed?

In our engineering notebook we are to list the parts included in our aircraft such as flight sytems. The catalogue has no parts, such as propulsion systems, listed for use on our drones so how are we to specify what parts we use so we can certain specifications to go along with our drone?

I can not seem to open CREO on my computer. I have downloaded it and followed all the instructions, but when I click on the icon's, nothing happens. Same if I go to the Start Menu and try to open the software. NOTHING HAPPENS... Please help!

Creo 5.0 Student edition freezes during installtion at 2%...over and over again. I have read this is common, but have yet to find a solution. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions found?

Hi all, I am the IT admin at a secondairy school tasked with getting the Creo software up and running.A tech teacher passed me half a sheet of information regarding a course he had completed which granted him the use of a set of licenses for our scool to use. I followed the instructions and created a PTC account and was able to install the floating license onto a server.After installing Creo2 onto a workstation I noticed that I can only open the software when logged on as an administrator. When trying to open the software as a standard user nothing happens.I have tried uninstalling the antivirus software on the pc, As well as giving everyone full access rights to the PTC folder itself to no end. Thats the first problem. I had posted this issue previously to be told to try the 2 steps above. After reporting back that these solutions had not worked i was told to submit a proper support case.I did this twice and recieved no response. I have subsequently tried downloading Creo 3 to see if

Since this is a frequently asked question, I thought would create a document explaining the best practice for getting the CAD KOP into Windchill. The FTC and FRC CAD KOP's come with their own internal folder structures. This is something you can mimic in Windchill or create your own folder structure. Also, putting ALL the CAD KOP files into Windchill is not a prerequisite, since in many cases you may not use them all. Lots of teams leave them on the local machine and check them into Windchill as they are incorporated into the design.   Lets start with some ground rules to make sure their are no misconceptions. CAD files can only be added to Windchill using Creo Files are opened in Creo, saved to a workspace and subsequently uploaded and checked into Windchill as new CAD files CAD files cannot be added to Windchill using any of the following methods. I am going to start using the PTC curriculum "How to Model Just About Anything" and I looking for suggestions on best practices for sharing files and folders with students. Our district uses Moodle and Google Classroom to distribute assignments. Students have limited ability when it comes to what they can download. Thanks
