The wheels and gears move independently, but we want to make our model have realistic movement. Based on our design, moving one wheel or gear should move all of the wheels and gears for that half of the drivetrain. Using Creo’s mechanism tools it is possible to create gear pairs that simulate how the gears of a physical drivetrain work.
This will help you understand how to create a drivetrain subsystem with working gear mechanisms.
In this section we’ll make the robot detailed design by assembling subsystems and then bringing them together in the Robot System assembly.
Let’s look at how Creo can assist your team in the Detailed Design phase of the product development process. During this phase, the preliminary designs from Phase I are turned into accurate 3D solid models from the kits of parts. Having realistic part models enables you to see the exact dimensions and spacing of components in your robot. It also lets you calculate the mass and center of gravity for your robot.
While printing the part, the CAD dimensions change to mm, what is the problem with dimensions? The STL and actual CAD are attached below:
My student edition of Wildfire 4.0 has stopped working on my Windows 10 laptop. eSupport opened a file to help me even though Wildfire is no longer supported. I was given Creo 3.0 , but I can not do setup. License problem, perhaps. Help?
I've got a problem with Creo 3 Academic version. We have PCs that have been running Creo 2, and tried to install Creo 3 over the top. Creo 3 seems to install with no errors, however the program will not launch.I've uninstalled all of Creo 2 and 3, deleted the Program Files and ProgramData directories, as well as the HKLM/Software/PTC registry key. Following that and a restart, I've tried reinstalling Creo 3, again installed with no errors, however the program will still not launch, and doesn't throw up an error message, or log anything in the event log.Using the same installation files on a clean PC (i.e. never had Creo installed), the software launches successfully.Any hints as to why the program fails to launch, or are there some other hidden files I need to delete first? Thanks in advance
We just received a Lab License for our School and I attempted to install it on a Server 2008 R2 or 2012 R2 Server but the installer would not accept the license key. Is there more detailed documentation for an installation of this type.Thanks.
Hi there,I have been unsuccessful in the last 3 attempts to download PTC Creo Student Free. I have entered the information requested and submitted it when I am then taken to a PDF page detailing the steps needed to install the program. When any of the links are selected I am taken to another page which states, "404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."I can see that other people have been experiencing this very problem and as such have attempted the download in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox but none have worked. Are there alternative steps which can be taken to complete the installation? Failing that is it known when the download will be back up and running?
I have a due project and the language is in Spanish I wish to change it back, help me please.
The Quick Installation Guide PDF provided with download instructions for Creo 3.0 University Standard Edition contains a bad link for the download of the DVD image. Getting a 404 error.

Currently the license servers for all editions of Creo are having issues validating product codes. We are obviously aware of the issue and are working to restore the servers as soon as possible. We will post an update as soon as service is restored. Thank you for your continued patience.
The following download link provided with the installation guide is dead. www.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp Kindly provide me with another way of downloading the PTC Creo 3.0 Student Edition for university students.

Hello, I'm a University student, I downloaded the free version for use in the classroom, and while the process was smooth, when it was time to input the licence number already given in the instructions pdf, it wouldn't allow me too, and there were several other in the class with the same problem. without it, we can't open the program, and can't do the assignments. What can we do?
I think the student licence lasts for three years, i intermitted for a year and the licence has now expired. Can i get anew licence without downloading the software again?
Every time I double-click on the icon to open it, the mouse changes to the timer for half a second and stops. It simply will not run. I've tried executing the run command in CMD, and tried every option listed in the 'run in compatibility mode' section.Does anyone have any solutions?
Hi, I tried signing up for the free download and got to the "PTC Creo 3.0 – University Student Standard – Quick Installation Guide" pdf but all the download links are broken and give me 404 error not found, any tips?
I run Win 7 64-bit and was trying to install the academic version of Creo 3.0 Parametric without success. The problem was with the license and after some googling I came to the conclusion that I should uninstall and remove everything and redo it. Now that I'm trying to uninstall Parametric 3.0 M070 the uninstaller crash. This is what I get when I select Uninstall in the Programs and Features menu in Windows:After pressing Uninstall, I get:And in my process list I now have:No matter if I keep the process running or end it, when I try to uninstall Creo again I get:The same thing happens when running Windows in Safe Mode. What did Creo to do my computer?!
Hello, I've done many stand alone license installs and have never seen this error before... Creo Academic Edition Standalone Licensing You have already registered for this the maximum number of times. I've completely removed/uninstalled the old Creo 2.0 but can't get past this error from the licensing file generation page at: http://www.ptc.com/appserver/lm/programs/licensing_programs_v.jsp I've tried a couple of times to get my expired Creo back up but no luck. ?? Thanks, Jim
