I would like to get in the linetypes and create linetypes with arrow sizes beyond what is currently available in the program. Is there a way to customize the lines. I want to create lines with arrows that are less than 20X size.I am using IsoDraw 7.3 M031 build 1Keith Howard

We recently upgraded our computers and since then I find that Isodraw illustrations typically take about 5 seconds to load where previously smaller ones would load instantly. I thought it was something I'd have to live with, but I've just opened up 2 illustrations that loaded instantly. They are similar in size to illustrations done at the same time which all take 5 seconds to load. This makes me think there may be something in our illustrations that is making Isodraw pause whilst loading, but that it isn't in these 2 that load instantly. Does anyone know of anything that's likely to slow down loading that isn't related to the illustration size?  

Hi,   How do I capture the value of an attribute of an element on a page while formatting, especially when the element spans over multiple pages? Basically, I am looking to capture the value of a change attribute(s) found on each page and store it into an array and then display it on the LEP to the corresponding page. I'm developing custom application for Arbortext V 7.0 using Java. My application needs active window id to load the JFrame. When I open any ditamap document the Resource Manager window on the left pane of Arbortext editor becomes the active window by default, my custom application loads on that window. However the WindowActivated event doesn't triggered when I try to switch the focus to editor window on the right pane by clicking the mouse button or modifying the text. The WindowActivated event for right side window triggers only when I minimize the editor and restore it.   This behavior cases my application to crash, as when I open the application it gets reference of Recourse Manager window, and when I click the button on application to read the content the focus automatically switches to editor window.   Questions: Why the WindowActivated event triggers for Resource Manager window? As this happens only once and this event never triggeres

I want to change or customize html publishing process. Are there any description of the publishing process? Which ACL scripts, XSL, CCF and other files are using in the html publishing process?

I want to automatically export attached files(PDF, HTML) of WTDocument (which is a result of creating representation from Dynamic Documents) to the external location(local or network drive). Now I can manually load this attached files. But it is very long if I have 500+ documents. How to do it automatically?

We are trying to create links to external web pages from the pdf. We are using the internet tag to create the link, but the link includes the URL. This is not what we want to happen. We want to have a descriptive title for the link. Is there any way to do this? We thought we would be able to use the link tag with a title child element, but this does not work.    So we want to have a link to google.com to appear as Google instead of http://google.com Does anyone know if this can be done?

Hi,   I've got information that Arbortext editor is supported by Window 10, 64-bit version. But, when I look in the compatibility metrics, Window 10 is not listed. See attached image.

In Style sheet, Chapter is splited with two context. One with "Chapter first chapter in bookmap", assigned with start new page and use Chapter page set. Next with "chapter everywhere else" with out start new page and no change in page set. In the output PDF, first chapter comes in new page with Chapter pageset as expected. But the other chapters comes continuously in a page, with front page pageset. Not taking the chapter pageset.

We are using a template of files that I run a macro to update all the file names to a new project name. Is there any way within Arbortext to update the file name paths quickly (rather than manually)?   InDesign has a built in feature to "update links" that works well... just curious if there i something for Arbortext. We are using Arbortext 7.0    Here is the screenshot: In the example below, all the "xxxx_" needs to be updated to "desired_project_name_"  

Hi I'm triying to reproduce the default behavior for the insertion or edit for the element/attribute <img src="">, get a file_picker control (that Arbortext get automatically), I know that i can modify the operation with acl and js developpements, but i would like to know how Arbortext define the entitys and attributes to display the control file chooser?, it must be a config file somewhere, I would like to profit that behavior for other file document elements ex: <pdf src="">. Hello, We are using Arbortext Editor 5.4 for authoring some newsletter in SGML. My editors need to know the number of characters in their title. I know we can count the number of words... but it's not relevant for them. So I'm guessing if it's possible to count the numbers of chars in a tag with a macro or something else... Description: I have DITA bookmap with topics (User Manual). I load them to Windchill. I get dynamic documents: DITA bookmap A.1 topics...A.1   Then I publish them to PDF and then print it. I give printed manual to my customer(1). Then I change topic_1 from this manual: DITA bookmap A.1 topic_1 A.2 other topics...A.1 Then I republish User Manual to PDF and print it. I give printed manual to another customer(2).This is another User Manual than have customer(1).Then customer(I don't know which - 1 or 2) calls to our tech support and says that he finds the error in our User Manual.   How to identify which User manual does he mean? Hi, I am new with APP, better said with how APP works. I am trying to put together a list of effective pages (LEP).   I do understand the concept of traversing the document, extract the page number for each page and put it into a javascript global variable of type array and extract the info from the array into a lep page set or page region. What I am having trouble with is where (in what edit source?) to declare the array global variable and then how to access the array from the page set or from the page region.   Thank you for help in advance!   Florin

Hello, is anyone else having trouble with the tif export giving a crisp image? I was at one time gettting nice clean images that opened in Photoshop and now they are broken up. Example of text the letters are smooth and now they have pixles missing on the edges.
