Can we develop a plugin for Arbortext editor in c#? over which i can authorize the text in editor.

One of the customer in Korea, they has 2month evaluation license for ISODraw. so they test ISODraw all function before buy it. They request "preview" function for Pro/Engineer data when "File open" on ISODraw, or "open on ISODraw" function when object select to open on the Pro/Engineer, in this step, "open on ISODraw" menu appear when click right mouse after select object.Is it possible?

I've been trying to get lengthy footnotes to split and run onto the next page's footnote section when outputting to PDF. The reason for this is that I've got footnotes with a lot of text in them, and they are just pushing up the rest of the page's content to the extent that it looks completely unbalanced. By default, Arbortext keeps footnotes on the same page as their references, however I've acquired an APP-template that should enable footnote splitting. Unfortunately it isn't working. I've attached the template to this question. If anyone with APP-template knowledge could take a look and let me know what's missing/incorrect it would be much appreciated!

Hi everyone,In one of our new manuals, I’ve been trying to set up our revdates to show up in the LEP and in our footers at the graphic element level. For some reason, our document keeps using the overall revdate for the overall document and not the revdate that is specific to each graphic. Can you help me set up the document where it will use revdates for each graphic instead of the overall revdate?

I'm trying to code a table with a continued title to float across multiple pages. I have all this working correctly however the customer wants the word continued to appear on all subsequent pages except the FIRST page. Right now I have it to say Continued on all pages except the LAST one. Any help would be appreciated. In Arbortext Styler, I am designing a stylesheet from a blank sytle. When I tried to edit GenText and insert the division reference, however, this menu is grey. While I chek the standard stylesheet, the division refernce menu does work. Is there any setting I should do before editing the GenText? Thank you in advance.

Hi,In Arbortext Editor 5.2 version, the ACL function com_attach("Sepe.EditSupport") returns a non-zero handle, but in 6.0 M100 version, always returns zero. How can I solve this problem in version 6.0?

I have been confused for a few days. If I publish a bookmap into PDF with my self-defined style-sheet, the book-title and the front-matter will appear twice! They will appear at the start of the book (It is correct), and appear again at end of book (It is not what I expect). However, if I publish the bookmap file with default style-sheet, the result is correct—they just appear at the start. I try to adjust the style sheet many times. It seems I didn’t know where to solve it.I don’t know how to control it – how to remove them from the end of the books. Can somebody help to answer it?

We recently went to new machines with Editor 6.1 installed and when we createa PDF from Print, Print Composer, or Publish to PDF, the text in our graphics is no longer searchable in the PDF. We haven't, as far as I know, ever in the last 10 years needed to make any setting changes other than in the paths section. I have tried changing the cgmprofile in the advanced settings to no avail based on other forum posts but doesn't help.Any ideas?

Hi,I am working on a stylesheet and I noticed that my HTML output has very narrow columns for the tables, when I checked them I noticed that the value for width is set to px. In the source it was set to picas.Arbortext Editor XML<tgroup cols="3"><colspec colname="col1" colwidth="12.80pi"/><colspec colname="col2" colwidth="12.00pi"/><colspec colname="col3" colwidth="13.00pi"/>Styler HTML Output <colgroup> <col style="width: 12.8px; "> <col style="width: 12px; "> <col style="width: 13px; "> </colgroup>Obviously, this conversion of units is way off. I am hoping there is a fix for this issue in Styler. Any ideas?

Does anyone know when / if PTC plans to add this to Arbortext? Or what version, if they already have? I couldn't find anything in a search.

I know, I know.... noob question - but I'm not an ACL person, and I'm about crazed out- on trying to find a simple way to lift/extract all of the 'figure' tag contents in an XML file (Mil-Std Tech Manual DTD - Need to create a list of figs by id with titles and graphic boardnos).Was trying the REGEX route, problematic (too many 'workarounds' required - remove all line returns), then looked to XML parsers, (too hard, too long to learn it). It's a long walk down the google rabbit hole to not find a really easy solution to this...Then I thought... "HEY" (I actually said this out loud in the office, disturbed some folks)... With all of you Arbortext Wizards (capital W) out there, doing magical ACL stuff; someone's got to have an ACL command in their pocket to simply 'find' all instances of an XML tag - so that I can 'mark' them, and copy/paste them out somehow, no?Lastly (related Q), is there a 'cheatsheet' out there in Arbortext land of commonly used/abused ACL commands/command strings? The ArborText Editor always adds a line return after an XML comment in the Edit view.Can this be changed by using the stylesheet or in a configuration file?

We've received word that some members of our user community are not making use of Arbortext 6.0's autosave feature (ie, "write recovery file every X minutes") due to the belief that it does not allow for an unlimited number of undos. This, to us, seems to make very little sense. The documentation we have found does not seem to confirm it our suspicions (that there is no coorelation between these two features) so figured I'd ask here, in case anyone knows for certain.Thanks!

I am wanting to add an image to my cover using styler. I would like it only to show when I choose the profile OM and set my language to ru. I have created a UFE for it and created a condition for itXPATH expression (//servicemanualmap/@xml:lang="ru") is true andXPATH expression (//servicemanualmap/@otherprops="Op_Manual")When I publish I do not get my desired result.See attached image in styler. This is such an obvious topic I was surprised by the lack of information in the Styler manual, help files and on-line. It seems like a really obvious topic to me, but I could only find a single reference to counting the sheets and/or graphics of a figure in the Arbortext help file documentation. "Counting Sheets of a Figure in Styler" which is basically a FOSI topic, and "Coding FOSI support for sheet count".Is there an equivalent topic showing how counting sheets and/or graphics can be done within Styler itself?Ideally, the styling should be able to recognize when there are multiple graphics/sheets in a figure and output the Figure number, title, followed by (Sheet 1 of n), thus if there are multiple sheets/graphics in a figure it should output something like "Figure 1. Name of Figure (Sheet 1 of 5)".

Hello everybody!OK, I've been working with oids in Arbortext Editor to implement a navigation algorithm through the document using Java and ACL, the first stage of my project was only related with navigation, however, now I'm making changes in the document, which means, I'm inserting new tags in my docbooks. I'm having a problem which I identified some weeks ago; in order to execute the navigation I generate a map using a list created with java and all I do is navigate through the list, the list contains oids corresponding to every element inside the document, and the idea is to update the list everytime that changes are made in the document, however, I saw that when I insert a new tag the oids of some of the elements change, not only the which one of the modified tag but instedad the following tags/nodes, this force me to REMAP the document, which it wasn't a big problem until I have to execute this navigation several times in another functionality that requires to navigate and change
