How to configure a worker with basic auth in a windchill sso configured environment.
Hello! I am looking for some help with updating the value of an attribute that exists on resulting objects of a change activity through the use of an expression robot in the workflow of the change activity. The resources I've been able to find all seem to call out the object that's having its attribute modified as the primarybusinessobject, so where I am having trouble is calling to the resulting objects while the change activity is the primarybusinessobject of the workflow. I tried the following, but had the error returned "WTChangeActivity2 cannot be converted to FormDataHolder" wt.change2.WTChangeActivity2 changeTask = (wt.change2.WTChangeActivity2) primaryBusinessObject; java.util.Vector results = com.ptc.windchill.enterprise.changeable.ChangeableDataFactory.getResultingObjects(changeTask);

It should be possible to delete latest iteration of multiple WTParts in bulk in Windchill PDMLink.
I've been asked to run some dependency scanning on existing repositories. From what I can tell, scanner is looking for pom.xml where we declare the packages were we reference. I know Windchill itself is based on a number of open source packages but cannot seem to find that. Is there a list of this anywhere? I kept getting directed to the Release Advisor. Not sure what I was looking for was listed there.
Under a custom tab I have created on a part, I have included the "Part Instances" table (accessed via the "Customize" button when the tab is selected > General). I would like to include a custom attribute in this table view to compare the attribute value against all part instances included in the table. Does anybody know if this is possible?
Hi There, We are planning to move from Windchill PDM Essentials 11.1 M020 (since this has no more support since January 2023) to Windchill PLM 12.1.2.1 We plan to provide/implement a "Disaster Recovery" during this fresh install/upgrade Is there any document to guide us through the exact steps + the architecture involved in this? We intend to use a SQL Server database and the in-built HTTPD web server. Thank youRaj

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Need to delete old representations. DeleteRepUtil could be used, but how to find the input OIDs for it.Description: Does anyone have a report or query to list "Copied from" representations on EPMDocuments and preferably their OIDs to be used as input for the DeleteRepUtil on the server? I'm looking to delete also old "Derived from" to restore disk space and there's some handy report provided by PTC, but I noticed that didn't pick the "Copied from" (which would be more important to get rid of as it's incorrect data on the object..). We use WTParts, just mentioning as I learned that may affect how the reports work.
Hello,I am working on an integration project and I need to perform the following actions using Windchill OData REST APIs:Create a new WTDocument.Update attribute values (IBA/Soft Attributes) of existing WTDocuments.Link (Associate) the created WTDocument to an existing WTPart (e.g., as a Described By or Reference link).Could you please guide me on which standard Domains (e.g., ProdMgmt) and Endpoints I should use for these specific operations? Is it possible to achieve the linking process within the same transaction or does it require a separate API call?Any examples or documentation references would be appreciated.Best regards.
Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: How to export structure report with cad documents? Including level information? Multi-level report. If it is via custom table builder with custom action . Guide me how to achieve this. If you have any implementation , it would be great if you can share?Description:
Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: For one context, the users do not need to see a few document sub-types or a change type. Hide that option from just that one context.Description: I have solved this before with an OIR for that object that calls out a none existing Lifecycle. It has worked but now for some reason, It does not. Granted, I do not understand HTML so perhaps I have this formatted incorrectly.<!-- set the lifecycle --><AttrValue id="lifeCycle.id" algorithm="com.ptc.core.foundation.lifecycle.server.impl.LifeCycleTemplateAttributeAlgorithm"><Arg>nope</Arg></AttrValue></AttributeValues>
Wondering who has implemented this?I did at one med device to allow pre-production CAD items to be promoted to Production when no data had changed if they provided appropriate supporting (validation) documents in the change. Why:Forcing a revision creates work that is not needed for the data authors and approvers.We use the same rev scheme and we can watermark / stamp (cover page) to show the effectivity and state.
Is it normal that Windchill does not consider Object Initialization Rules (or Access Control List) at all when creating parts with edit associations or auto associate? Or do I just have some kind of configuration issue? I have hidden some subtypes of parts in different organizations and contexts from the part creation drop down menu by defining a non-existing lifecycle template in the OIR of those types that I want to hide.When I'm creating a part in Commonspace or Workspace, the OIR is checked before showing what types I can create and the dropdown list of type selection filters out the ones that I cannot create: But when I'm using "Edit associations" or "Auto associate" on an existing CAD document, it seems that Windchill just shows *all* subtypes which have "Instantiable" flag on and doesn't consider the context-specific OIR.Auto associate: And same thing with "Edit associations": I can create and associate any of those types of parts in Workspace. We are in the process of upgrading our version so I have an installation on a test server where I can view and edit the life cycle. I have compared the Policies all contexts and rules and verified the administrator setup it all looks the same. Is there something else that could be keeping me from editing the life cycle?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.1 and Datecode with CPS 13.1.2.0During an update from Windchill 12.0 to Windchill 13.1.2 I had an issue with compiling a java file.import com.ptc.wpcfg.pdmabstr.PROEDependency; is used in the file but it's not recognised by Eclips.The class should be availeble in DDLBasic.jar. Is it moved or deleted (com.ptc.wpcfg.pdmabstr)? Do I neet to use something different?I have a workaround, the variable is used once and should be a constant value, but that is not a clean solution.
