I configured SSL & HTTPS using CS159762 But IE and Chrome are both not safe!I installed it on a trusted root certificate authority through View Certificate in IE.After that, the certificate status shows "This is a valid certificate." But Chrome is still marked as unsafe! Why is not it safe?When configuring SSL & HTTPS, can not it be self-signed to be marked safe?Thank you   Note openssl.cnf has not been modified

Greetings Windchillers, I have a question.  We are going to be using the Deviation action in Variance to document our nonconforming items. Everything works well except we have one issue.  For a Deviation that is not Resolved by an ECN, we are seeking a method to set it to Resolve besides Resolving it administratively.  We thought about putting a timer robot to resolve it 90 days after the Approval, but that is not flexible, in case we need to change a date.   Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.   James Hall PLM Administrator/Analyst Swisslog Healthcare (North America) Windchill 11.0 M030 , WGM 11.0 M030, Inventor Pro 2017, Windows 10

Has anyone ever created the need to soft type a work item?  Is it even possible?  We can soft type it in Type/Attribute Manager.  But I'm not sure if we can configure Windchill to use that soft type that was created.   This question has come up because we want to add several attributes to the work item.  If we can soft type it, then those additional attributes can be limited to just 1 organization in Windchill.  And the other organizations won't be bothered with these extra attributes if they don't want to see them.   The same question has come up regarding Affected data for both the Change Request and the Change Activity.  We would like to create several additional attributes, but limit the scope to just 1 organization.

Alias Attribute : how to map composed attributes like : thePersistInfo.createStamp ? i want to map the creation date of the first version of an EMPDocument. thePersistInfo.createStamp is available under logical IBA report as a valid and mappable attribute for EPMMaster, however the system consider it as invalid datatype.  Do you have any suggestions ?

Hi all,   The idea is to create a new attribute that is read only until the value of the Default Trace Code Attribute is set to Serial Number. Once set to Serial Number the new attribute can be selected.  Did anyone try something similar?   Alex

Creo View and Thumbnail wasn't matching worker setup on same pc(installed Windchill & Creo 3.0 M150) and set following picture   and my viewer version 4.1 but thumbnail and Viewer image wasn't match how do i fix it?   thanks

Hi everyone. Our company has recently decided to favor SolidWorks, but we have Windchill as our PDM system. Saving drawings and models to Windchill with the Workgroup Manager seems fairly straightforward, however we need to save our company drawing formats to Windchill as well. That's what we do with our Creo formats.   Does anyone know how to do this? I have created formats before in SW, and saved them to a server location, then set up our System Options/File Locations.... etc. What I am trying to do is save them to my Workspace, then check them in to Formats library cabinet. I can go File/Save Sheet Format....  and select Workspace as the place to save it to, but I don't see anything in my Workgroup Manager in Workspace. I assume it's something to do with access permissions, but I am logged in to Workgroup manager as Orgadmin, which is the only way to write to our libraries.

Hello, I am unable to install windchill on windows 10 OS. It is giving me the error   Failed to validate the Oracle Home User Password with the username found in the registry.Oracle Home Windows User Password (Required for Oracle 12c only):   I have also tried creating one more oracle user. Stil it is not working.

Hi. I'm trying to add form submission validation for Promotion Request creation wizard. But it doesn't work. So: 1) i have my own validator class ext.nikiet.validators.CreatePRValidator with implemented validateFormSubmission method2) this class is registered in codebase/service.properties wt.services/svc/default/com.ptc.core.ui.validation.UIComponentValidator/CreatePRValidation/null/0=ext.nikiet.validators.CreatePRValidator/duplicate 3) this validator is added to action in PromotionRequest-actions.xml <action name="create" .... afterVK="CreatePRValidation"> But CreatePRValidator is not created, and its method validateFormSubmission is not invoked during promotion request creation.In jcaDebug mode DefaultUIComponentValidator is displayed for wizard ok button.What am i doing wrong?Thanks.   ps: windchill version 11.0 M030-CPS05

Hi All, Trying to install WC 11, M030 on windows 10 (64 bit). After having done the initial setup, when the PSI proceeds to install, it progresses to 6-7% and then quits. Hi Windchill Gurus,Our company has an old Windchill 9.1 running on Windows 2003 server, and we are planning to retire windows 2003 server soon, so we want to move it to Linux (RHL-2.6.32)But I don't find any documents about rehost windchill from Windows to Linux.  BTW, all Oracle DBs are running on Solaris which will remain untouched.I was hoping anyone from the community can give us some advice please.Jerry

It works great, chugs through even the larger files, but for some reason, it closes itself at seemingly random times. These times seem to be unrelated to conversion/translation events. All,I'm a little puzzled on this. I'm using 10.1 M010 and looking at the OOTB Change Request workflow process, and trying to figure out how they get the Automatically create change notice check box to appear on the Create New Change Notice task. It's not the state of the CR before the task (because I changed that and it still appeared)? I've looked at the process and I don't see any magic before or during that task to make the check box appear. Has anyone else figured this one out? Is there documentation that explains how to expose the Automatically create change notice check box functionality in a custom CR workflow?Mike

Hi, i tried to installed navigate   commonly windchill has deny access other network users access a windchill only in same network  when i installed navigate 1.4 with ThingWorx 7.3, i tried to access ThingWorx Navigate but occur DNS ERROR   so i have questions  1. must be Windchill & Thingworx installed in same local for using navigate?   2. We recently found that Query Builder is creating SQL that performs very poorly (full table scans) specially if ProjectLink and/or SUMA was used and wanted to know if anyone else has seen this? We think we found out why and wonder it it might be affecting commonly used customization code as well.   We are heavy users of Query Builder and have some very large clients with large DBs, One recently reported very poor performance of a large QB query and asked us to investage. We discovered that the SQL generated was doing full table scans and was taking many minutes to execute. We looked at the SQL and found that there was a union on a table called WorkItem and ProjectWorkItem. We wrote some example code using java to mimic the creation of SQL. It turns out that the ORM model of Windchill means that if includeDependencies is on the API uses this union structure in the SQL that is causing the full table scan.   Q1. The following topic in the Windchill Help Center describes Windchill capabilities for deriving multiple part structures while reusing the same CAD structure:   Multiple Windchill Part Structures Sharing the Same CAD Structure   This is exactly what we were looking for, to deal with e.g. identical parts but in a different colour, or with a different material (e.g. standard inox 304 but on customer request inox 316).   However it seems rather immature and preliminary.   Anyone can share his or her experience with this in an Industrial setting?   And also: we put article number and name on our 2D drawings. A pdf is generated for each drawing by the worker and is exported to the ERP system upon release. Does anybody have a solution in Windchill for added a family table instance to a generic while still keeping the revision of the generic and all existing instances the same? Currently when we have the need to add an instance it falls on the WC admin to set the state of the generic and all instances from Released to In Work, and then the designer adds the new instance, Checks In, and generates the Promotion Request. Upon approval the generic and all instances are back to Released at the same revision. We are trying to offload this burden from the admin to a standard workflow practice for all designers.Ordinarily this would involve a Revise, but we cannot burden our CNC programmers here with updating all revisions to existing programs whenever we add an instance (the existing instance geometry is not changing, essentially we are just generating a new object). Further to this logic we want to keep all instances, the generic, and drawing lock-stepped in revision. New instances come in at t
