So we currently use Change Management in Windchill to manage our engineering changes, and have noticed that there appears to be a date field in the change activity that never gets filled out.   I am curious as to what this date field is for and how to get it to populate with data?   (See attached screenshot for details.)-marc

Alcon acquired a company with mature SolidWorks data in EPDM.  We're being asked to look at migrating it including all history to Windchill.What utilities / approaches can be used for this?note: For another acquired company with SolidWorks data on network drives, we've imported to Windchill WGM, latest only, and are very familiar with this process.thanks in advance

I am trying to map the following properties from Solidworks to Windchill attributes so as to display it under details page once user checkin the CAD document:1. Override mass (yes or no) - is the mass displayed is the calculated or overridden.2. XYZ coordinates of center of gravity.3. Override center of gravity (Yes or No) - is the displayed coordinates of COG are calculated one or overridden.Can anyone let me know is it possible to do so or not? Hi, I am looking for someone who can help me to find out how to add popup help for the attributes in Windchill. When user create parts or document there are plenty of mandatory attributes that requires description and explanation. It is possible to describe attribute by adding “Suggested Value List” to an attribute. But this information will ONLY be available if you add the wtpart to your workspace and checking out the object. On the top of that, NO information will popup when user creates NEW wtparts or wtdocument. Anybody knows how to add attribute popup help in Windchill?Thank you beforehand,Javid

Hello everyone                           I have a doubt regarding email notification in projectlinkI have started project with auto execution mode:when a project is started then i have observed following :1. All activity and resource are getting their task when the project starts.2. Owner of the activity is responsible for adding attachment to deliverable3. Resource are only helping source to complete the activitykindly tell me when the email is received by owner and resources. and can we customize email like adding some new things to email.Also when i start project in Manual execution mode then there is no option to complete milestone, is it the default functionality of project link, because when i start project in auto execution mode then i am getting option to complete milestone.please help me out to resolve the issuesregardsNimish

Planning on a late year upgrade from PDMLink 10.0 m040 to PDMLink 11.0 m010.When I go into WinDu. the only upgrade option is: Windchill 10.0 to 10.2 Pre-Upgrade Mandatory.Is there a new WinDu that needs to be installed on top of 10.0 m040 that will perform the mandatory checks for a PDMLink 11.0 upgrade?I have installed the following patches for WinDu/WinRu after I upgraded to m040:10.0-M0X0_WINDU_WINRU_SUPPORT_PS510.0-M0X0_WINDU_WINRU_PS610.0-M040_PS7

Hi, we are currently managing multiple WPA server instances and we are looking for the best way to consider a rehosting for creating a new server from another existing server.This procedure (and a specific rehosting tool) exist with Windchill but does not seem to be available with WPA.We would be interested to know if anyone can share any information related to WPA rehosting so that we can consider this activity on a regular basis on our side.

Is there a simple way to compare 2 version/iteration of an EPM Document/DITA document.Basically, I want to select 2 dita documents, open them in AE and run a compare.  Or use a diff tool that would be ok too.Adding an older iteration to the workspace and viewing in Arbortext Editor does not always work - there's a bug. Plus you can't add both, the default is always the current document.

I realize that we are supposed to be at Java 8 Update 76 or above,  But I would like to know what parts of Windchill still use Java and what happens if the Java version isn't at Java 8 Update 76.Please Advise

I'm new to Windchill and Info Engine.Here is where I am at in my learning process:- I have been able to run the default tasks that I found on this WSDL (<host>/Windchill/servlet/SimpleTaskDispatcher?CLASS=com.ptc.windchill.ws&VERSION=1.1&STYLE=document) using SOAP.- I am also able to create tasks using the Info Engine Task Editor and then run them externally with a http request.I'm trying to query a product structure externally based on some user input (product name).
