Hello! Currently I have a model that contains a weighted link that connects 5 different fasteners holes to a dependent node. The dependent node has a 10 kip load applied to it. My goal is to find the force applied to each individual fastener position in the WCS. When I place a force measure on these independent surfaces I get the following warning:  "Resultant measure XX may not be evaluated correctly because there are multi-point constraints (MPCs) near the resultant measure. MPCs may occur in models with mixed or incompatible meshes, links, fasteners or user coordinate system (UCS)"  Is there a different method to gather the force exerted on the independent surfaces? This process is very simple in other FEA programs so it seems strange that it would be more complex than a standard measure.  Thank you in advance. CREO Version: 7.0.9.0

(Creo Parametric 10.0 ) Before I do the analysis definition, I already add a servo motor. However, I can only use the motor when the type of the analysis is position. And the right three buttons can't be used.

I am using Creo Simulate Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0Simulate static analysis taking time more than expected.It is stuck in preprossing following activity taking huge time:-"Pre-processing boundary (70% complete after   2.1 min)"

I am using Creo Simulate Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150I have parts upon which we ran structural simulations in the past. I wish to now run a fresh simulation in assembly mode. When I have my assembly in session, and go to simulate, I get all these failures due to bad constraints and load sets. I want to start fresh and try to use HOME / SET UP / NEW SIMULATION MODEL. However, New Simulation Model is greyed out.I also cannot delete individual constraints or loads in the model tree.

 I would like to know how to import the CSV data into MODS when I generate several combinations in other software, in this case it would be several points, but Creo comments that the imported data is wrong, would there be a correct way to import?

Goodmorning to everyone, I use Creo 8.0.9.0 and I'm wondering how to create an animation based on a MDO analisys that has the "real time duration". If I set the time.duration of 10 seconds, I expect this duration will be respected when I make the video exportation; all of this means the mechanism has the real velocity.  If the mechanism is simple,  more or less the duration/velocity is respected; if the animation is a bit complicated, the "post-production" video will be longher. Is there the possibility to impose the video exportation duration?

Is there a way in Creo Simulate to use a surface to create shell elements?  This is not a midsurface shell compression.  I created a simple "L" solid part with a surface extrusion.  I thought the autoGEM control "hard surface" would achieve what I wanted.  But it doesn't.  Is there a different setting that will accomplish this?  I've attached photos of the part and the part meshed.    

Hi I am doing analysis on a relatively large structure, and I would like to build the the model for Simulate using beam idealisations rather than native models.  I know how to create an individual beam, but am looking guidance/tutorial on how to create an assembly, if possible using a mixture of idealised beams and 'physical' geometry.Thanks in advanceFrancis

As per topic:   Good day, I realise this is an old thread, but I am getting the same, frustrating, problem with a model study I am running.  

I'm making a piston mechanism in Creo Mechanism where I'm supposed to measure the piston's acceleration when it's 45 degrees from the y-axis, but the result gives me a percentual difference of 20% from the correct answer (-47000mm/s^2) What could I be doing wrong? 

Hi, I am running a simulation with a measured load at one side, and applied load at another. For all intents and purposes, it is a non-symmetric see-saw, where I have a target load at one end, with a load (in this instance, a pressure value) applied to a pad at the other end. I will have 9 individual tests to complete (each test is at a different angle), so I was hoping to run a feasibility study to save myself the trial and error involved in guessing the input load multiple times until I get a close result. I have had a bit of a play around and created a parameter, which I then drove a load value with.  It seems to accept the input parameter (I can drive a static analysis from it) but when it comes to doing a study, I get the '!' of doom with no indication of the cause of failure. Screenshots of my parameter and study are below. Is what i am trying actually possible and if so, is there something obvious I am missing?  

 I have problem when running my mechanism analysis it says "The mechanism could not be assembled because some mechanism constraints weren't met". Is it because the joint/assembly isn't properly constraint or what ? Whats the easiest way to know if my parts are connected incorrectly? 

When I tried to save my playbacks for my mechanism in .pbk file, an information appears. Is it a licence issue? Thanks

Hello guys, I have a small issue every time I run dynamic analysis in Creo Parametric. If I click the dynamic option, it always says "mechanism dynamics is required for this analysis type meaning". Do you guys know how to fix this or maybe there was a wrong joint or connection with the setting so the I couldn't run dynamic analysis. However, there's no problem with kinematic analysis.

Hi. I have been trying to conduct flow analysis on a fan blade for quite a while now and I can't seem to get the right specifications. I have looked all over the internet and have only found flow analysis of internal structures, not external ones. I have tried so many things and can't seem to get it correctly. My project is due in a week and I am getting very stuck. Someone please help. Thanks

Hi All, I'm using PTC Creo 8.0 with simulate basic extension. I'm running into a very simple problem but can't find the right solution yet.To visualize the issue I made a simple strip with holes on both ends.In one hole I created a bearing load in the length direction of the strip.In the other hole a pin contraint.I my world this should give the same stress results in both holes. After all: "For every action in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction". But as shown in the screenshot below it isn't the same at all..I've already been testing with different solutions, but none of them resulted in equal results.Most close so far was to divide the hole in different regions and connect the upper region with a point in the center with a rigid link. However this means a lot of trial and error with the size of the region which is not very practical and very time consuming Somebody here knows what the right solution is? Thanks in advance!  

Hello, today I've been trying to start contact simulation of some sort of an assembly. (sorry can't do any screenshots or give a model)I've started slowly and made my way as smooth as possible to make sure results are valid. 1. geometry was prepeared acording to drawing documentation2. adding simulation features3. doing small sub assemblies to check if everything is connected4. finally adding time dependent force to act on assymbly  and boom nothing is working. Spending 8more hours to find the error. Nothing has been found everythin has been checked.  and than after 12 hours of search and tests i'm turning  back Time dependence from my table defined function back to ramp(predefined function) and somehow it starts to work without any problem.  Has anyone of you met this problem??? What should i do next. It is 5 full workdays to completely rebuild model from scratch. I don't want to(

Hi everyone, is it possible to display for example the streamlines for a specific time step after I already ran the simulation? For example I simulated for 1 second and I want to see how the streamlines behaved at 0.5 seconds. Is this somehow possible?I'm using Creo 4.0 Best regards,Dominik
